Philippians 4
1 Stand fast then, brothers, dearly loved and longed for, my joy and my crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved!
| אחים יקרים, אני אוהב אתכם ומתגעגע אליכם מאוד, כי אתם מקור שמחה בשבילי וגמול על עבודתי. חברים אהובים, אנא, היו נאמנים לאדון. |
2 Euodia I entreat, and I entreat Syntyche, to be of the same mind of the Lord;
| יש לי בקשה אל שתי הנשים היקרות, אַבְהוֹדִיָּה וסוּנְטִיכִי: אני מתחנן לפניכן, בשם אלוהים, הפסיקו לריב – התפייסו ושובו להיות חברות! |
3 yes, and I beg you also, my true yokefellow, to help them; for these women shared my toil in the furtherance of the gospel, together with Clement, and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the book of life.
| ואני מבקש מכם, שותפי לעבודה, עזרו לנשים האלה, כי הן עבדו איתי בהפצת הבשורה על ישוע המשיח. הן עבדו גם עם קלימיס ועם שאר חברי לעבודה, ושמם כתוב בספר החיים. |
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway, and again will I say, rejoice!
| שמחו תמיד בישוע אדוננו; אני חוזר ואומר: שמחו! |
5 Let your reasonableness be recognized by every one. The Lord is near you.
| הוכיחו לכולם שאינכם אנוכיים ושאתם מתחשבים תמיד באחרים. זכרו, אדוננו ישוע קרוב! |
6 Do not worry about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
| אל תדאגו לדבר, אלא התפללו ואמרו לאלוהים למה אתם זקוקים, ואל תשכחו להודות לו. |
7 and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will stand guard over your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
| אם באמת תעשו כך, אלוהים ישכין בלבכם שלווה נפלאה שאינכם מסוגלים אפילו לתאר לעצמכם. |
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if virtue is anything, if honor is anything, be always thinking about these.
| אחים יקרים, לסיום מכתבי ברצוני לומר לכם דבר נוסף: רכזו את תשומת לבכם בכל דבר טוב, אמיתי וישר. חישבו על דברים טהורים ונעימים; חישבו על כל דבר משמח, ועל כל מה שאתם יכולים להודות עליו לאלוהים. |
9 Put in practise also what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me; and the God of peace shall be with you.
| המשיכו לקיים הלכה למעשה את כל אשר לימדתי אתכם, ואת כל אשר ראיתם אותי עושה, ואלוהי השלום יהיה אתכם. |
10 Moreover, I greatly rejoiced in the Lord that now once more your care for me blossomed afresh; though indeed you did take thought in this matter, but you lacked the opportunity of expression.
| אני אסיר תודה לכם ומודה לאלוהים על ששוב עזרתם לי. אני יודע שתמיד רציתם לשלוח לי מתנות כפי שמשיגה ידכם, אולם במשך זמן־מה לא הייתה לכם אפשרות לכך. |
11 Not that I speak as if I were in want, for at least have learned how to be content, whatever happens.
| איני אומר זאת משום שאני זקוק לכסף, שכן למדתי להסתפק במה שיש לי, אם בהרבה ואם במעט. |
12 I know how to live humbly, and I also know how to bear prosperity. In every place and under all circumstances I have been initiated into the secret of fulness and of hunger, of prosperity and of want.
| אני יודע כיצד לחיות בעוני או בעושר. למדתי לשמוח ולהסתפק בחלקי בכל מצב – בשובע או ברעב, בשפע או במחסור. |
13 I am strong for everything in Him who gives me strength.
| כל זאת משום שאני מסוגל לעשות כל מה שאלוהים רוצה שאעשה, בעזרת המשיח שנותן לי כוח. |
14 Notwithstanding, you have acted nobly in making yourselves comrades in my trouble.
| ובכל זאת, נהגתם יפה מאוד כשעזרתם לי במצוקתי הנוכחית. |
15 And you very well know, Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I had left Macedonia, no church but yourselves had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving.
| כידוע לכם, כשעזבתי את מקדוניה ובאתי לספר לכם את הבשורה בפעם הראשונה, רק אתם, אנשי פיליפי, עזרתם לי מבחינה כלכלית. אף קהילה אחרת לא עזרה לי, |
16 For even while I was still in Thessalonica, you sent once and again for my needs.
| גם בהיותי בתסלוניקי שלחתם לי מתנות פעמיים. |
17 It is not your gifts I am eager for, but I am eager for the abundant profit that accrues to your divine account.
| אני מעריך מאוד את מתנותיכם, אבל מעל לכל אני שמח על הגמול שייתן לכם אלוהים בעד טוב־לבכם. |
18 But I give you a receipt in full for all things abound. I am amply supplied with what you sent by Epaphroditus - an odor of sweet fragrance, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.
| כרגע יש לי את כל מה שאני צריך, ואפילו יותר ממה שאני צריך! עדיין נשאר לי די והותר מהמתנות ששלחתם לי ביד אפפרודיטוס. אני יודע שמתנות אלה הן קורבן יקר מאוד, ואלוהים מעריך זאת. |
19 All your own needs my God will fully supply, according to his riches in glory, in Christ Jesus.
| אלוהים ייתן לכם כל מה שאתם צריכים, מתוך אוצרו בשמים, בזכות קורבנו של המשיח למעננו. |

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me salute you.
| מסרו דרישת שלום חמה בשמי לכל המאמינים בפיליפי. גם האחים הנמצאים איתי כאן מוסרים דרישת שלום. |
22 All the saints salute you, and especially the slaves of the Emperor’s household.
| כל שאר המאמינים מוסרים דרישת שלום, במיוחד אלה שנמצאים בבית הקיסר. |
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits.
| חסד אדוננו ישוע המשיח עם רוחכם. – אמן. |
