< Matthew 27 >

1 And when the morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, how they might put him to death.
OTAP'INŎKKUSI, kŏnau'mŭkatoiapiekuax ki matap'pix otsĭn'aimoauax itŭp'okŏkitsĭmaiau Jesus mŏks'enitŏsauaie;
2 After they had bound him, they led him away, and handed him over to Pilate, the Roman Governor.
Ki otai'ĭsksipĭstŏssauaie, itŭnĭstŭppĭp'iauaie, ki itŭp'aumŭtskaiauaie Pontius Pilate, anni'ĭsk nĭnai'isk.
3 Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that he was condemned, he repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.
Judas, anni'isk otse'mŭtskaukĭsk, otsĭnno'ŏsaie, otanĭs'sax mŏks'eĭnsi, itsisauai'tsitau, ki mat'skittotsĭpotuyiuax omŭk'atoiapiekuax ki omŭks'imix nĭn'ax niĭp'pix ksĭxĭx'kĭmix,
4 "I have sinned," he said, "in betraying innocent blood!" "What is that to us?" they answered; "you must see to that."
Ki an'iu, nikai'sauumitsitappi nitse'mŭtskatop mokŏm'otsaapŭnni. Ki an'iau, Tsanĭstappi nitokanĭstappikipĭnan'a? Ksĕsto'a kitak'satsip.
5 And flinging down the silver into the Sanctuary, he rushed out, and went and hanged himself.
Ki itsipsts'ĭstŭpapiksĭstsiuax ksixĭx'kĭmix omŭk'atoiapioyĭs, ki itsĭs'tapu, ki itsiko'kŏpsiu.
6 The chief priests took the money, and said, "It would be wrong to put it into the temple-treasury, because it is the price of blood."
Ki omŭk'atoiapiekuax mat'tuyiauax ksĭxĭx'kĭmĭx, ki an'iau, matŏkhsiu'ats ŏk'itsŭppitsŏsau atsĭm'isokaiĭs, tŭk'ka aa'pŭnni ipum'attomiau.
7 So after the consultation they bought the Potter’s Field with it, for a burial-place for strangers.
Ki itau'kŏkotomotseiau ki itopum'attomiau potter otsĭn'sĭmman, pie'tappix mok'itstsŏsau.
8 That is the reason why, to this day, the field is called "The Field of Blood."
Ŭn'nikaie itŭsks'unnĭstainikŏttop a'apŭnni ĭstsĭn'sĭmman.
9 Then was fulfilled the word spoken by the prophet Jeremiah. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him who had been priced, whom certain of the Children of Israel had priced;
Itŭmeĕnŭpanĭstomaie annik' otan'ipikaie Jeremy prophet, ki an'iu, Ki mat'tuyiauax niĭp'pix ksĭxĭx'kĭmix, umutopum'attopiaie annŏk' Israel itŭniau ŭnni mŏkanĭstsĭxkĭmasi;
10 and gave them for the Potter’s Field, as the Lord had appointed me.
Ki itopum'attomiauaie potter otsĭn'sĭmman, nanĭstŭn'ik Ap'ĭstotokiuă.
11 Now Jesus stood before the Governor, and the Governor questioned him. "Are you the King of the Jews?" he asked.
Ki Jesus paio'tsipuyimiuaie, nĭn'aii; ki nĭn'auă ai'sŭppoŏttsesattsiuaie, ki an'iu kikŭtam'ipa Jews otsĭn'aimoauai? Ki Jesus an'ĭstsiuaie, kitan'i.
12 "it is as you say," answered Jesus; but while he was being accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
Ki Omŭk'atoiapiekuax ki omux'ĭnax ote'ĕnŭpanĭstŏsauaie, matsepuyiu'ats.
13 Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear what they are testifying against you?"
Pilate itŭm'anĭstsiuaie, kikŭttaisauokhtoau'axau akauo'yi kĭtse'nŭpanikoĭsts?
14 But he made no answer, not even to one charge; insomuch that the Governor was greatly astonished.
Ki tuks'kai epo'awsĭn matanĭstsiu'atsaie; ki Nĭn'auă eik'skaietŭkkiu.
15 Now it was the Governor’s custom, during the Passover, to release to the people any one prisoner whom they selected.
Annok' oye'tani nĭn'aua itŭsksaipotoyiuaie tukskŭm'i eĕn'naii ot'statauaie matap'pix.
16 At that time they had a notorious prisoner named Barabbas.
Annik', nannan'attsiau tuks'kŭmi eĕn'naii, Barabbas an'ĭstau.
17 So when they had assembled, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release to you, Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?"
Ŭn'nikaie otokŏnau'moŏsax, Pilate itŭnĭs'tsiuax, Tŭkka' kĭt'statauă kŏks'ipotomosuai? Tsŏktau Barabbas, tsŏktau Jesus, annŏk' anĭstauŏk Christ?
18 He knew well that it was because of enmity that they had brought Jesus before him.
Tŭk'ka ĭsksĭnĭm'aie umutsiksĭssat'siuŏsau, itaumŭts'kau.
19 And while he was seated upon the judgment-seat, his wife had sent to him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered many things today, in a dream, because of him."
Otsitau'pĭssi okŏk'itsimani ĭstsiso'pŏtsĭs, otokem'an itŭpŭt'okŏttsiuaie ki an'ĭstsiuaie, pinotokan'ĭstappikit om'ă mokŏm'otsitappiuă: tŭk'ka akauo'iĕsts nit'okuyipists pu'ĭnasĭsts ni'papaukanĭsts annok' ksĭstsiku'ik, osto'i itots'tsiĕsts.
20 But the chief priests and the elders urged the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and to destroy Jesus.
Ki omŭk'atoiapiekuax ki omŭx'ĭnax eikakĭmattsiauax matap'pix mŏk'aukŏmŏnĭstŏsauaie Barabbas, ki Jesus mŏks'eĭnsaie.
21 So when Pilate said to them, "Which of the two do you want me to release unto you?" they said, "Barabbas."
Nin'auă an'ĭstsiuax, Tŭkka' na'tokŭmix kitstatauau'a kŏks'ipotomoŏssuai? An'iau Barabbas.
22 And Pilate asked, "What then shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?" What one voice they shouted, "Let him be crucified!"
Pilate an'istsiuax Tsa nitakŭnnĭstutoau'ats Jesus, anĭstauŏk Christ. Ikŏn'auanĭstsiauaie, ŭnnianĭstauai'ĭstais.
23 But Pilate said, "Why, what evil has he done?" But they kept shouting the more fiercely, "Let him be crucified!"
Ki nĭn'auă an'iu, kumauk'anĭstauaisksĭks? Tsanĭstapiu'ăts otsauum'itsĭstutŭksĭnni? Ki akauo'yi itsokse'puyiau ŭnnianĭstauai'ĭstais.
24 So when Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that on the contrary a riot was threatening, he took water and washed his hands in the presence of the crowd, saying. "I am innocent of the blood of this man; you must answer for it."
Otsĭnĭs'si, otsau'otokanĭstappikĭssaie, ki otai'akitstsĭssi ăsĭnata'pii ito'tŭkkiu okke', ki itŭs'tsĭmmiu otsipot'aipuyimŏsax matap'pix, ki itŭniu', nimat'ototoimoko'ă am'o mokŏm'otsitappiaă otsa'apŭnni: ksĕsto'auă sat'sĭk.
25 All the people answered, "His blood be upon us and upon our children."

27 Then the soldiers of the Governor took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered all the battalion together.

29 And they twisted a thorny crown for him, and put it on his head, and placed a reed in his right hand. Then they knelt before him, in mockery, crying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"

31 At last, when they had finished their mocking, they took the robe off, and put his own garments on him, and led him away to crucify him.

64 Now therefore give order to have the sepulcher securely guarded until the third day, for fear his disciples may come and steal him away, and then tell the people, ‘He is risen from the dead’; and so the last error will be worse than the first."
Anit' ŏkhs'ĭstutsĭssĭ aken'imani nioks'kai ksĭstsiku'ĭsts, otŭs'ksĭnĭmatsax mŏkstai'sepiotosax, mŏkstai'kŏmosaĭ'ĭsax, mŏkstai'anĭstosauax matap'pix, ŭk'aipuau: ki sako'ipatsĭstutŭksĭnni aks'ĭstŭpskĭts top matom'ipatsĭstutŭksĭnni.
