Matthew 24
1 Then Jesus left the Temple courts and was walking away, when his disciples came to point out to him the Temple buildings.
१मग येशू परमेश्वराच्या भवनातून बाहेर येऊन पुढे जात होता, त्याचे शिष्य त्याच्याकडे त्यास परमेश्वराचे भवन दाखवायला आले.
2 "You see all these buildings?" he answered them; "I tell you solemnly that there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be torn down."
२परंतु त्याने, त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुम्ही या सर्व गोष्टी पाहता ना? आता, मी तुम्हास खरे सांगतो, येथे एक दगड दुसऱ्या दगडावर राहू दिला जाणार नाही.”
3 When he had seated himself on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?" (aiōn g165)
३मग तो जैतूनाच्या डोंगरावर बसला असताना, त्याचे शिष्य त्याच्याशी एकांतात येऊन म्हणाले, “आम्हास सांगा की या गोष्टी कधी होतील? आपल्या येण्याचा आणि युगाचा शेवट होण्याचा समय जवळ आला आहे हे आम्ही कोणत्या चिन्हावरून ओळखावे?” (aiōn g165)
4 "Take care," Jesus answered, "that no one mislead you;
४येशूने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “सांभाळ कोणीही तुम्हास फसवू नये.
5 "for many will come in my name saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.
५कारण माझ्या नावाने पुष्कळजण येतील आणि म्हणतील, मी ख्रिस्त आहे आणि ते पुष्कळ लोकांस फसवतील.
6 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see to it that you are not afraid. Such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
६सांभाळ, तुम्ही लढायांबद्दल आणि लढायांच्या अफवांबद्दल ऐकाल पण त्यामुळे तुम्ही त्यांना भिऊ नका. या गोष्टी घडल्याच पाहिजेत. तरी इतक्यात शेवट जवळ येणार नाही.
7 "Such things must happen, nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
७कारण, एक राष्ट्र दुसऱ्या राष्ट्रावर उठेल. अनेक ठिकाणी भूकंप व दुष्काळ येतील.
8 "All these things are the beginning of birth-pangs.
८पण या सर्व गोष्टी प्रसूतीवेदनांची सुरूवात अशा आहेत.
9 "Then they will deliver you up to suffer affliction, and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.
९ते तुम्हास छळणुकीसाठी धरून देतील आणि तुम्हास जिवे मारतील आणि माझ्या नावाकरता सर्व राष्ट्रे तुमचा द्वेष करतील.
10 "And then many will stumble and fall, and will betray one another, and hate one another.
१०मग पुष्कळांना अडथळा होईल. ते एकमेकांविरुद्ध उठतील आणि एकमेकांचा द्वेष करतील.
11 "Many false prophets will rise up and mislead many;
११अनेक खोटे संदेष्टे उठतील आणि, ते पुष्कळांना फसवतील.
12 "and because of the increase of iniquity the love of the majority will grow cold;
१२सतत वाढणाऱ्या दुष्टाईमुळे पुष्कळांची प्रीती थंडावेल.
13 "but he who endures to the end will be saved.
१३पण जो मनुष्य शेवटपर्यंत टिकून राहिल तोच तारला जाईल.
14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole inhabited earth, for a testimony to the Gentiles, and then will come the end.
१४सर्व राष्ट्रांना साक्ष व्हावी म्हणून राज्याची ही सुवार्ता सर्व जगभर गाजवली जाईल आणि मग शेवट होईल.
15 "So when you see the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place let the reader take note of this,
१५तर दानीएल संदेष्ट्याने सांगितले होते, ओसाड करणारी अमंगळ गोष्ट, पवित्र जागी परमेश्वराच्या भवनामध्ये उभी असलेली तुम्ही पाहाल.” (वाचकाने हे ध्यानात घ्यावे.)
16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;
१६त्यावेळी यहूदीया प्रांतातील लोकांनी डोंगरावर पळून जावे.
17 "let him who is upon the housetop not go down to get the things in his house,
१७जो कोणी छतावर असेल त्याने घरातील सामान घेण्यासाठी खाली येऊ नये.
18 "and the man in the field not turn back to get his cloak.
१८जर कोणी शेतात असेल तर त्याने आपला सदरा घेण्यासाठी माघारी परत जाऊ नये.
19 "Alas for thee women who are with child, and for the nursing mothers in those days!
१९त्याकाळी गर्भवती असलेल्या किंवा अंगावर पाजीत असतील अश्या स्त्रियांना फार कठीण जाईल.
20 "But pray that your flight may not be in the winter; nor on a Sabbath;
२०जेव्हा या गोष्टी होतील तेव्हा थंडीचे दिवस अथवा शब्बाथ दिवस नसावा यासाठी प्रार्थना करा.
21 "for then shall be a time of great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never shall be again.
२१कारण जगाच्या आरंभापासून कधीही झाली नाही आणि पुन्हा कधी होणार नाही अशी मोठी संकट त्याकाळी येतील.
22 "And if these days had not been shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but for the elect’s sake these days will be cut short.
२२आणखी, देवाने ते दिवस जर थोडेच ठेवले नसते तर कोणीही मनुष्य वाचला नसता. परंतु त्याच्या निवडलेल्यांसाठी तो ते दिवस थोडे करील.
23 "If at that time any one should say to you, ‘See, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ believe him not.
२३त्यावेळी जर एखाद्याने तुम्हास म्हटले, पाहा! ख्रिस्त येथे आहे किंवा तो तेथे आहे, तर त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवू नका.
24 "For false christs and false prophets will arise, and will work great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if it were possible, the very elect.
२४खोटे ख्रिस्त आणि खोटे संदेष्टे उदयास येतील. ते महान आश्चर्यकारक चिन्हे दाखवतील. देवाच्या निवडलेल्या लोकांस ते चिन्हे दाखवतील व लोकांस एवढेच नव्हे तर देवाच्या निडवलेल्यांना फसविण्याचा प्रयत्न करतील.
25 "See, I have forewarned you! So if they say to you,
२५या गोष्टी होण्याअगोदरच मी तुम्हास सावध केले आहे.
26 "‘See, He is in the desert,’ do not go out there. "‘See, He is in the inner room,’ do not believe it.
२६एखादा मनुष्य तुम्हास सांगेल, पाहा, ख्रिस्त अरण्यात आहे. तर तेथे जाऊ नका. किंवा जर ते म्हणाले, पाहा, तो आतल्या खोलीत आहे, तर त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवू नका.
27 "For just as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west; so will be the coming of the Son of man.
२७मी हे म्हणतो कारण वीज जशी पूर्वेकडून पश्चिमेकडे चमकताना सर्वांना दिसते तसेच मनुष्याच्या पुत्राचे येणे देखील होईल.
28 "Wherever the corpse lies, there will the vultures flock together.
२८जेथे कोठे प्रेत असेल तेथे गिधाडेही जमतील.
29 "But immediately after the tribulation of those days, "The sun will be darkened, The moon will not shed her light, The stars will fall from the sky, And the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
२९सांभाळत्या दिवसातल्या छळानंतर लगेच असे घडेल; सूर्य अंधकारमय होईल व चंद्र प्रकाश देणार नाही, आकाशातील तारे गळून पडतील, आकाशातील सर्व बळे डळमळतील, आकाश गुंडाळीसारखे गुंडाळले जाईल.
30 "Then the signs of the Son of man will appear in the sky; and then all the tribes of the earth will lament, when they see the Son of man coming upon the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
३०तेव्हा मनुष्याच्या पुत्राच्या येण्याचे चिन्ह आकाशात दिसेल. तेव्हा जगातील सर्व वंश आपले ऊर बडवून घेतील. मनुष्याच्या पुत्राला आकाशांतल्या मेघांवर आरूढ होऊन सामर्थ्याने आणि मोठ्या गौरवाने येताना पाहतील.
31 "And he will send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather his elect together from the four winds, from utmost heaven to utmost earth.
३१मनुष्याचा पुत्र कर्ण्याच्या मोठ्या नादात आपले देवदूत पृथ्वीभोवती पाठवून देईल. ते पृथ्वीच्या चारही कोपऱ्यातून, आकाशाच्या एका सीमेपासून दुसऱ्या सीमेपर्यंत निवडलेल्यांना गोळा करतील.
32 "Learn from the fig tree, her parable; when her branches are become soft, and put forth leaves, you know that summer is near;
३२अंजिराच्या झाडापासून शिका; अंजिराच्या झाडाच्या फांद्या जेव्हा हिरव्या आणि कोवळ्या असतात आणि पाने फुटू लागतात तेव्हा उन्हाळा जवळ आला हे तुम्हास कळते.
33 "so you also, when you see these signs, know that He is near, at the very doors.
३३त्याचप्रमाणे तुम्ही या सर्व गोष्टी पाहाल तेव्हा हे जाणा की, तो दरवाजाजवळ आहे.
34 "I tell you in solemn truth, that the present generation shall not pass away till all these things happen.
३४मी तुम्हास खरे सांगतो, या सर्व गोष्टी पूर्ण होईपर्यंत ही पिढी नाहीशी होणार नाही.
35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
३५आकाश आणि पृथ्वी नाहीशी होतील पण माझी वचने कधीही नष्ट होणार नाहीत.
36 "But no one knows about that day and hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
३६पण त्या दिवसाविषयी आणि त्या घटकेविषयी पित्याशिवाय कोणीही काही जाणत नाही. स्वर्गातील देवदूतही जाणत नाही किंवा स्वतः पुत्रही जाणत नाही.
37 "And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
३७नोहाच्या काळी घडले तसे मनुष्याच्या पुत्राच्या येण्याच्या वेळेसही होईल.
38 "For just as in the days before the deluge they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the very day when Noah entered the ark,
३८तेव्हा जसे महापूर येण्याअगोदर लोक खातपीत होते, लोक लग्न करीत होते, लग्न करून देत होते. नोहा तारवात जाईपर्यंत लोक या गोष्टी करीत होते.
३९आणि महापूर येऊन त्यांना घेऊन गेला तोपर्यंत त्यांना समजले नाही. तसेच मनुष्याच्या पुत्राचे येणे होईल.
40 "At that time there will be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left.
४०दोघे जण शेतात एकत्र काम करत असतील तर त्यातला एकजण वर घेतला जाईल आणि दुसरा तेथेच राहील.
41 "Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and the other left.
४१दोन स्त्रिया जात्यावर दळीत असतील तर त्या दोघीतील एक वर घेतली जाईल आणि दुसरी तेथेच राहील.
42 "Keep guard then, for you do not know the day on which your Master is coming.
४२म्हणून तुम्ही जागृत असा, कारण तुम्हास माहीत नाही की कोणत्या दिवशी तुमचा प्रभू येत आहे,
43 "But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have been on his guard, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
४३हे लक्षात ठेवा, चोर केव्हा येईल हे जर घराच्या मालकाला माहीत असते तर तो त्यासाठी तयारीत राहिला असता आणि त्याने चोराला घर फोडू दिले नसते.
44 "Therefore you also must be ready, for in an hour when you do not expect him, the Son of man is coming.
४४या कारणासाठी तुम्हीसुद्धा तयार असले पाहिजे. जेव्हा तुम्हास अपेक्षा नसेल तेव्हा मनुष्याचा पुत्र येईल.
45 "Who, then, is the faithful and prudent slave, to whom his master has entrusted his household, to give them their food in due season?
४५तर ज्याला त्याच्या धन्याने आपल्या परिवाराला, त्यांना त्याचे अन्न वेळेवर द्याव म्हणून नेमल आहे तो विश्वासू आणि विचारी दास कोण आहे?
46 "Blessed is that slave whom his Master, when he comes, shall find so doing.
४६जो दास त्याच्या धन्याला तो येईल तेव्हा तसे करताना आढळेल तो धन्य आहे!
47 "In solemn truth I tell you that he will set him over all his property.
४७मी तुम्हास खरे सांगतो की, मालक आपल्या सर्व मालमत्तेवर त्या चाकराची नेमणूक करील.
48 "But if, because he is a bad slave, he should say to himself, ‘My Master is a long time in coming,’
४८पण जर तो दुष्ट दास आपल्या मनात असे म्हणेल की, माझा धनी विलंब करीत आहे,
49 "and if he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and to eat or drink with the drunkards,
४९तो चाकर इतर चाकरांना मारहाण करील आणि आपल्यासारख्या लोकांबरोबर जेवण करील आणि दारू पिऊन मस्त होईल.
50 "on a day when he is not expecting him, and at an hour which he does not know, the Master of that servant will arrive
५०आणि तो चाकर तयारीत नसेल तेव्हा मालक येईल.
51 "and will scourge him severely, and allot him a place among hypocrites, where will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
५१मग मालक त्या चाकराचे तुकडे करील. त्या चाकराला मालक ढोंगी लोकांबरोबर राहायला पाठवील आणि त्याठिकाणी रडणे व दात खाणे चालेल.
