Luke 5
1 On one occasion when he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, the crowd pressed upon him to listen to the word of God.
१मग असे झाले की, तो गनेसरेत सरोवराच्या काठी उभा असता लोक देवाचे वचन ऐकण्यासाठी येशूभोवती गर्दी करू लागले,
2 But he saw two fishing-boats on the shore of the lake; the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.
२तेव्हा त्याने सरोवरात दोन होड्या पाहिल्या, पण होडीतील मासे पकडणारे बाहेर होते व त्यांची जाळी धूत होते.
3 He went on board one of the boats which belonged to Simon, and asked him to push out a little way from land. Then he sat down and continued to teach the crowd from the boat.
३त्यातील एका होडीत येशू गेला जी शिमोनाची होती आणि त्याने किनाऱ्यापासून थोडे दूर नेण्यास सांगितले. नंतर तो होडीत बसला व लोकांस शिक्षण देऊ लागला.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Push out into deep water, and let down your nets for a haul."
४त्याने बोलणे संपविल्यावर तो शिमोनाला म्हणाला, “होडी खोल पाण्यात घेऊन चल आणि मासे पकडण्यासाठी तुझे जाळे खाली सोड.”
5 "Master," answered Simon, "although we toiled all night, we took nothing; but at your bidding I will let down the nets."
५शिमोनाने उत्तर दिले, “साहेब, संपूर्ण रात्र आम्ही खूप कष्ट घेतले पण काहीच मासे पकडू शकलो नाही. तरी तुझ्या शब्दावरून मी जाळी खाली सोडतो.”
6 And when they had done this they enclosed a great multitude of fish; and their nets began to break.
६मग त्यांनी तसे केल्यावर त्यांच्या जाळ्यात माश्यांचा मोठा घोळका सापडला आणि त्यांची जाळी फाटू लागली
7 So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
७तेव्हा त्यांनी दुसऱ्या होडीतील आपल्या सहकाऱ्यांना मदत करण्यासाठी बोलावले. ते आले आणि त्या दोन्ही होड्या माश्यांनी इतक्या भरल्या की, त्या बुडू लागल्या.
8 When Simon Peter saw this he fell down at the knees of Jesus, exclaiming, "Depart from me, O Lord, for I am a sinful man!"
८हे पाहून शिमोन पेत्र येशूच्या पाया पडून म्हणाला, “प्रभू, माझ्यापासून दूर जा कारण मी पापी मनुष्य आहे.”
9 (For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the haul of fish which they had made;
९कारण त्यांनी धरलेल्या माश्यांचा घोळका पाहून तो व त्याच्याबरोबर असलेले सर्वजण आश्चर्यचकित झाले होते.
10 and so were Simon’s partners, Jamesand John, sons of Zebedee.) But Jesus answered Simon. "Fear not; from this time on, you will be catching men."
१०तसेच शिमोनाचे भागीदार जब्दीचे पुत्र याकोब व योहान हेही त्यांच्याप्रमाणे आश्चर्यचकित झाले. मग येशू शिमोनाला म्हणाला, “भिऊ नको, कारण येथून पुढे तू माणसे धरणारा होशील.”
11 So when they had brought their boats to land they left everything and followed him.
११मग तारवे किनाऱ्याला लावल्यावर त्यांनी सर्वकाही सोडले आणि त्याच्यामागे गेले.
12 Another time when he was in one of their cities, there was a man there full of leprosy. And he, upon seeing Jesus, fell on his face and implored him. "Lord," he said, "if only you choose you can make me clean."
१२आणि असे झाले की, येशू कोणाएका गावात असता तेथे कुष्ठाने भरलेला एक मनुष्य होता, जेव्हा त्याने येशूला पाहिले तेव्हा तो पालथा पडला आणि त्यास विनंती केली, “प्रभूजी, जर तुमची इच्छा असेल तर मला शुद्ध करण्यास आपण समर्थ आहात.”
13 And he stretched out his hand and touching him, said. "I do choose; be made clean."
१३तेव्हा येशूने आपला हात लांब करून त्यास स्पर्श केला आणि म्हटले, “माझी इच्छा आहे शुद्ध हो!” आणि ताबडतोब त्याचे कुष्ठ नाहीसे झाले.
14 And instantly the leprosy left him. Jesus ordered him to tell no one, "But be off," he said, "show yourself to the priest, and make the offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."
१४मग येशूने त्यास निक्षून सांगितले की, “कोणालाही सांगू नकोस, पण जाऊन स्वतःला याजकाला दाखव आणि त्यांच्यासाठी ही साक्ष व्हावी म्हणून मोशेने आज्ञा केल्याप्रमाणे शुद्धीकरणासाठी अर्पण कर.”
15 But all the more the report about him continued to spread; and great crowds began to come together to hear him, and to be healed of their infirmities.
१५परंतु येशूविषयीच्या बातम्या अधिक पसरतच गेल्या आणि मोठे जमाव त्याचे ऐकण्यासाठी व आपल्या रोगांपासून बरे होण्यासाठी जमू लागले.
16 But Jesus himself habitually withdrew into solitary places, and there used to pray.
१६परंतु येशू रानांमध्ये एकांतात जाऊन प्रार्थना करीत असे.
17 One day he was teaching, and near to him were seated Pharisees and teachers of the Law, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was with him to heal.
१७असे झाले की, एके दिवशी तो शिक्षण देत असता तेथे परूशी व नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक बसले होते ते गालील आणि यहूदीया प्रांत व यरूशलेम शहर या भागातील कित्येक ठिकाणाहून आले होते. प्रभूचे सामर्थ्य त्याच्याठायी होते त्यामुळे तो रोग बरे करत असे.
18 And behold there came men carrying a paralytic on a bed; and they tried to bring him and lay him before Jesus, but they could not because of the crowd.
१८काही लोक एका पक्षघात झालेल्या मनुष्यास बाजेवर घेऊन आले आणि त्यांनी त्यास आत आणण्याचा व येशूसमोर खाली ठेवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला.
19 So they went up on the roof, and let him down through the tiling, with his bed, into the crowd, before Jesus.
१९परंतु गर्दीमुळे आत आणण्याचा मार्ग त्यांना सापडेना, म्हणून त्यांनी घराच्या छतावर चढून त्यास बाजे सकट कौलारातून येशूच्या समोर खाली सोडले.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you!"
२०त्यांचा विश्वास पाहून, येशू म्हणाला, “मुला, तुझ्या पापांची क्षमा झाली आहेत.”
21 And the Scribes and Pharisees began to cavil. "Who is this?" they asked, "speaking blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
२१नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक आणि परूशी स्वतःशी विचार करू लागले, “हा दुर्भाषण करणारा कोण? देवाशिवाय कोण पापांची क्षमा करू शकतो?”
22 Conscious of their cavilings, Jesus answered, saying.
२२पण येशूने त्यांचे विचार जाणून त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुम्ही आपल्या अंतःकरणात असा विचार का करता?
23 "What is this caviling in your hearts? Which is easier to say, "Your sins are forgiven," or to say, "Rise and walk?"
२३तुझ्या पापांची क्षमा झाली आहे किंवा ऊठ आणि चालू लाग यांतील कोणते म्हणणे सोपे आहे?
24 But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins (he said to the paralytic), "I bid you rise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
२४पण तुम्हास हे कळावे की मनुष्याच्या पुत्राला पृथ्वीवर पापांची क्षमा करण्याचा अधिकार आहे, म्हणून तो पक्षघात झालेल्या मनुष्यास म्हणाला, मी तुला सांगतो ऊठ, आपली बाज उचलून घेऊन आपल्या घरी जा.”
25 And instantly he arose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and went away to his house, glorifying God.
२५ताबडतोब तो उभा राहिला व ज्या बाजेवर तो झोपला होता ती उचलून घेऊन देवाचे गौरव करीत आपल्या घरी गेला.
26 Astonishment fell upon them all, and they began to glorify God, and they were filled with awe, and they said, "We have seen strange things today."
२६ते सर्व आश्चर्यचकित झाले आणि देवाची स्तुती करू लागले, ते फार भयभीत होऊन म्हणाले, आम्ही आज विलक्षण गोष्टी पाहिल्या आहेत.
27 After this he went forth and noticed a tax-gatherer, named Levi, sitting at the tax-office, and said to him, "Follow me."
२७या गोष्टी झाल्यानंतर येशू बाहेर गेला आणि त्याने लेवी नावाच्या जकातदाराला जकात नाक्यावर बसलेले पाहिले, येशू त्यास म्हणाला, “माझ्यामागे ये!”
28 He rose, left everything, and followed him.
२८तेव्हा लेवीने सर्वकाही तेथेच सोडले आणि उठून त्याच्यामागे गेला.
29 Levi also made him a great reception at his house. There was a large party of tax-gatherers and others who were dining with them.
२९नंतर लेवीने त्याच्या घरी येशूसाठी मोठी मेजवानी दिली आणि जकातदारांचा व इतर लोकांचा मोठा जमाव त्याच्याबरोबर जेवत होता.
30 And the Pharisees and their scribes began complaining to his disciples, saying, "Why are you eating and drinking with tax- gatherers and sinners?"
३०परंतु परूशी आणि नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक यांनी त्याच्या शिष्यांकडे तक्रार केली, ते म्हणाले, तुम्ही जकातदार आणि पापी लोकांबरोबर का जेवता?
31 Jesus answered them saying. "They who are well have no need of a physician, but they who are ill.
३१येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “जे निरोगी आहेत त्यांना वैद्याची गरज नाही, पण जे रोगी आहेत, त्यांना वैद्याची गरज आहे.
32 I am not come to call the righteous but sinners, to repentance."
३२मी नीतिमानास बोलावण्यास आलो नाही तर पापी लोकांस पश्चात्तापासाठी बोलावण्यास आलो आहे.”
33 Again they said unto him. "Why do the disciples of Johnfast frequently, and make supplications, as also do the disciples of the Pharisees, but your disciples are eating and drinking?"
३३ते त्यास म्हणाले, योहानाचे शिष्य नेहमी उपवास आणि प्रार्थना करतात आणि परूश्यांचे शिष्यसुद्धा तसेच करतात, पण तुझे शिष्य तर खातपीत असतात.
34 "Can you make the bridal party fast," he asked, while the bridegroom is still with them?
३४येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “कोण असे करेल? वऱ्हाडाबरोबर वर आहे तोपर्यंत तुम्हास त्यांना उपवास करावयास लावता येईल काय?
35 "But there is coming a day when the Bridegroom will have been taken away from them; then at that time they will fast."
३५पण असे दिवस येत आहेत की, वराला त्यांच्यापासून घेतले जाईल आणि त्या दिवसात ते उपवास करतील.”
36 He also told them a parable. "No one," he said, "tears a piece from a new garment, and patches it upon an old one; otherwise he will tear the new garment, and the patch from the new will not mend the old.
३६त्याने त्यांना आणखी एक दाखला सांगितला, “कोणीही नवीन कापडाचा तुकडा फाडून जुन्याला लावीत नाही, जर तो तसे करतो तर तो नवे कापड फाडतो पण नव्या कापडांचे ठिगळ जुन्या कापडाला योग्य दिसणार नाही.
37 "Nor does any one pour new wine into old wine-skins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins, and will itself be spilled, and the skins be destroyed
३७आणि कोणीही नवा द्राक्षरस जुन्या द्राक्षरसाच्या कातडी पिशवीत ठेवत नाही जर तो असे करतो तर नवा द्राक्षरस कातडी पिशवी फोडून बाहेर उसळेल.
38 "But new wine must be put into fresh wine-skins
३८नवा द्राक्षरस नव्या कातडी पिशवीतच ठेवला पाहिजे.
39 "And no man after drinking old wine, wishes for new; for he says, "The old is better.""
३९कोणालाही जुना द्राक्षरस प्याल्यानंतर त्यांना नवा नको असतो कारण तो म्हणतो, जुना द्राक्षरसच चांगला आहे.”
