< Luke 4 >

1 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, came back from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, all the time tempted by the devil.
Jesu den ñani Judana kani ki gbie leni U Tienu Fuoma Yua. Wani U Tienu Fuoma den gedini o mi fanpienma po
2 He ate nothing during these days, and at the close of them he was hungry.

3 The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God tell this stone to become bread."
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written that not by bread alone shall man live."
5 And the devil led him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time, and the devil said to him.
6 "To you will I give all this authority and this glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

7 "If then you will worship me, it shall all be yours."
Lanwani a ya gbaani n nintuali, li kuli baa tua a yaala.”
8 "It is written," answered Jesus, "Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Jesu den goa ki yedi o: “Li diani: A baa kpiagi a Diedo a Tienu, ki ya tuuni wani bebe yaapo.
9 Then he brought him to Jerusalem, and caused him to stand upon the Temple roof, and said to him. "If you really are the Son of God throw yourself down here;
10 for it is written, "He shall give his angels charge of thee, to guard thee safely;
O baa puogi o malekinba ke ban guudi a.
11 "They will bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy food against a stone."
Bi baa tiebi a leni bi nii ke a taali n da tuudi tanli.”
12 "It has been said," replied Jesus, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord, thy God."
Jesu den goa ki yedi o: “Li go yedi: Da biigi a Diedo a Tienu.”
13 So, after exhausting on him every kind of temptation, the devil left him for a time.
Sutaani n den tulini o laa tulinma kuli ki gbeni, o den foagidi o kani ŋali yogunuba.
14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout all the surrounding country,
Jesu den guani Galile leni mi Fuoma paaciamu. O yeli den ñani laa diema nni kuli.
15 and he began to teach in their synagogues, and was glorified by all.
O den bangi li balimaama bangima diena nni ke bi niba kuli pagi o.
16 Then he came to Nazareth where he had been brought up. and, as was his custom, he entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath Day, and stood up to read.

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim release to the prisoners, And recovery of sight to the blind; To set at liberty those that are bruised,
O Diedo Fuoma ye n niinni kelima o gandi nni ke min ya wangi a luoda o laabaaliŋamo. O soani nni ke min kpaani i yonbi faabima. Ke min pa a juama mi nunnualima. O soani nni ke min ya faabidi ban miabi yaaba,
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
Ki kpaani ke o Diedo ŋanbili binli cua.
20 Then rolling up the papyrus, he gave it back to the attendant and sat down.
Jesu n den cogi laa maama, o den goa ki gbabi li tili ki teni li o jiidikoa, ki goa ki kali. Yaaba n den ye li balimaama dieli nni kuli den diidi o.
21 The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him, and he began to say to them, "Today is this scripture fulfilled in your hearing."
O den yedi ba: “Yin gbadi i Diani maama yaama ne tieni dinla.”
22 And they all spoke well of him, and marveled at the words of charm that fell from his lips. "Is not this the son of Joseph?" they asked.
Bi den tua: “Laa tie Josefi bijua kaa?”
23 Jesus answered. "Doubtless you will quote the proverb to me, "Physician, heal thyself! Do also here in your own country all that we hear that you have done in Capernaum."
Jesu den yedi ba: “Laa pia kuli tama ke yi baa pua nni ya kpanjama n tie na: 'Fini lotoli, paagi a yuli,' ki go yedi: 'Ti gbadi ŋan tieni yaala Kapenayuma po kuli, ŋan tieni la nakanba mo a dandogu nni.'”
24 "I tell you in solemn truth," he added, "that no prophet is acceptable in his own country.
25 In very truth I tell you there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were closed for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land;
N go waani yi i moamoani ke Elia yogunu, tanpoli n den luoni ke ki taaga ki mi ŋali binata leni ŋmaali luoba ke mi koncianma den ye mi diema nni kuli, a kpepuona den ye Isalele diema nni boncianla.

Ama baa yeni U Tienu ki den soani Elia bi niinni oba kuli kani kali Sidoni diema dogu Salepita ya kpepuoli kani.
27 "And there were many lepers in Israel in the days of the prophet Elisha, yet none of them was cleansed but only Naaman the Syrian."
A gbaada boncianla den ye Isalele diema nni o sawalipualo Elise yogunu. Baa yeni, bi niinni oba ki den paagi kali Naama Sili diema ya joa.”
28 When they had heard these words, those in the synagogue were filled with fury;
Yaaba n den ye li balimaama bangima dieli nni n den gbadi laa maama bi pala den beni boncianla.
29 they rose, hurried him outside the town, and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, intending to cast him down headlong.
Bi den fii ki deli ki ñani o u dogu nni, ki gedini o bi dogu n ye ya juali yuli po, ki baa lu o li yidima kani.
30 But he, passing through the midst of them, took his departure.
31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and continued to teach the people on the Sabbath Days.
Jesu den gedi Galile dogu Kapenayuma. Mi fuodima daali o den bangi bi niba.
32 They were deeply impressed by his teaching because his speech was with authority.
O bangima den paki ba kelima o den maadi leni li bali.
33 And there was in the synagogue a man possessed by the spirit of a foul demon. He cried out, in a loud voice, saying.
34 "Ha! Jesus of Nazareth, what business have you with us? Are you come to destroy us? I know you who you are, you holy one of God!"
“Hain, fini Nasaleti yua Jesu, be n ye tinba leni fini siiga? A cua ki baa bolini ti. N bani ŋan tie yua. A tie U Tienu Nigagidiŋamo.”
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying. "Be quiet! Come out of him." And when the demon had thrown the man down before them, he came out of him without doing him any harm.
Jesu den funi leni ga ki yedi: “Suo ki ña o joa yeni niinni.” Ki cicibiadiga den guli o joa yeni li nutaanli siiga ki ñani o niinni kaa tieni o bonbiadilaba kuli.
36 All were amazed, and began to ask one another, saying. "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits and they come out."
O maadi mu cicibiadimu leni li bali leni u paalu ke mu ña mun ye yaaba niinni.”
37 And the talk about him spread into every locality in the surrounding country.
O yeli den ñani laa gaani lindima tinbuona nni kuli.
38 Now when he rose and left the synagogue, he entered into the house of Simon, where Simon’s mother-in-law lay sick of a great fever. And they kept entreating him for her.
Jesu den fii ñani li balimaama bangima dieli nni ki gedi Simono denpo. Li den sua ke Simono cuadinaa dua li kani ke o gbannandi beni boncianla. Bi den mia Jesu ke wan paagi o.
39 And he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her; and at once she arose and ministered unto them.
40 At sunset all they who had any sick with any sort of disease brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.
41 Demons also came out of many, screaming and saying, "You are the Son of God." But he rebuked them, and did not permit them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
Ama Jesu den fu leni mu kaa tuodi ke mu maadi, kelima mu den bani ke o tie U Tienu n Gandi Yua.
42 And when it was daybreak he left the town, and went away to a solitary place; and the crowd kept seeking him. Coming at length upon him, they attempted to detain him so that he should not leave them.
A nigola den lingi o. Ban den pundi o kani, bi den bua wan ya ye leni ba ki da ña bi kani.
43 But he said to them. "I must preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to the other towns also; for that is what I was sent to do."
44 So he continued to preach in the synagogues of Galilee.
