Luke 19
1 So he entered Jericho and was passing through the town.
೧ಯೇಸು ಯೆರಿಕೋ ಊರನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವಾಗ,
2 There was a man there, called Zaccheus, who was a chief of the tax- gatherers, and was wealthy.
೨ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜಕ್ಕಾಯನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಸುಂಕವಸೂಲಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು ಮತ್ತು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
3 And he kept trying to see what sort of a man Jesus was; but he could not see because he was short.
೩ಅವನು ಯೇಸು ಹೇಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನೋಡಲು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ ತಾನು ಕುಳ್ಳನಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ, ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನೋಡಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದನು.
4 So he ran on before him and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him; for he was about to pass that way.
೪ಆದಕಾರಣ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಆತನು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಆಲದ ಮರವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದನು.
5 As soon as Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, "Come down quickly, Zaccheus, for today I must stay at your house."
೫ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿ, “ಜಕ್ಕಾಯನೇ, ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಾ, ನಾನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಲು,
6 He made haste to climb down, and receive him joyfully.
೬ಅವನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
7 When they all saw it, they began to complain, saying "He has gone in to lodge with a man who is a sinner."
೭ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರು, “ಈತನು ಪಾಪಿಯಾಗಿರುವವನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಗೊಣಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು.
8 But Zaccheus stood up and said to the Lord, "I give half my property to the poor, Lord, and if I have defrauded any man of anything I am restoring it to him fourfold."
೮ಆದರೆ ಜಕ್ಕಾಯನು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು “ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೋಡು, ನನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ಯಾರಿಂದ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇಯಾದರೆ ನಾಲ್ಕರಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9 "Today is salvation come to this house," said Jesus "since Zaccheus here is a son of Abraham.
೯ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯೇಸು, “ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಈ ಮನೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಇವನು ಸಹ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ವಂಶದವನಲ್ಲವೇ.
10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save the lost."
೧೦ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿ ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
11 As they were listening to his words he added this parable, because he was near Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.
೧೧ಜನರು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯೇಸು ತಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪವಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದಲೂ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಕೂಡಲೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
12 So he said. "A certain nobleman went abroad to receive for himself royal power and to return.
೧೨ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಶ್ರೀಮಂತನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತಾನು ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
13 "And he summoned ten slaves of his, and gave them ten pounds, and said to them, "‘Trade with these until I come.’
೧೩ಹೊರಡುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಚಿನ್ನದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ‘ನಾನು ಬರುವ ತನಕ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು.
14 "But this fellow citizens hated him, and sent a deputation after him to say, ‘We do not wish this man to become our king.’
೧೪ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ‘ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನಮಾಡುವುದು ನಮಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಸಿದರು.
15 "And upon his return after he had secured the royal power, he ordered the slaves to whom he had given the money to be called in, so that he might know what they had gained by trading.
೧೫ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು, ತಾನು ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಆಳುಗಳು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟೆಷ್ಟು ಲಾಭ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿದನು.
16 "And the first came before him, saying, ‘Master, your pound has made ten pounds.’
೧೬ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು, ‘ದೊರೆಯೇ, ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳು ಸಂಪಾದನೆಯಾದವು’ ಅನ್ನಲು,
17 "And he said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’
೧೭ಅವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಭಲಾ! ನೀನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಆಳು, ನೀನು ಬಹು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾದದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18 "And the second came and said, ‘Master, your pound has made five pounds.’
೧೮ಎರಡನೆಯವನು ಬಂದು, ‘ದೊರೆಯೇ, ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಐದು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವು’ ಅನ್ನಲು,
19 "Then he said to him also, ‘You shall be over five cities.’
೧೯ಅವನು ಆ ಆಳಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಸಹ ಐದು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
20 "And the next came to him and said, ‘Here master is your pound which I was keeping safe in a napkin.
೨೦ಬಳಿಕ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು, ‘ದೊರೆಯೇ, ಇಗೋ ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಾಣ್ಯ. ನೀನು ಇಡದೆಯಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವನು, ಬಿತ್ತದೆಯಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವ ಕಠಿಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೊಂಡು ಇದನ್ನು ವಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡೆನು’ ಅಂದನು.
21 "‘For I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take what you did not sow.’
೨೧
22 "He said to him, "‘By your own words I will Judge you, you wicked slave. You knew, did you, that I was a hard man taking up what I did not lay down, reaping what I did not sow.
೨೨ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು, ‘ನೀನು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಆಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ನಿನಗೆ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಇಡದೆಯಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವನು, ಬಿತ್ತದೆಯಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವ ಉಗ್ರವಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವೆಯಾ?
23 "‘Then why did you not put my money into the bank, so that at my coming I might I might have gotten it back with interest?’
೨೩ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಡ್ಡಿ ಸಹಿತ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ,
24 "Then to those who stood by, he said, ‘Take the pounds from him and give it to him who has ten pounds.’
೨೪ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಆ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹತ್ತು ಚಿನ್ನದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳುಳ್ಳವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
25 "‘Master,’ they said to him, ‘he already has ten pounds.’
೨೫ಅವರು, ‘ದೊರೆಯೇ, ಹತ್ತು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವೆಯಲ್ಲಾ’ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
26 "‘I tell you that to every one who has it shall be given; and from him who has not shall be taken away even what he has.
೨೬ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, ‘ಇದ್ದವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವುದು, ಇಲ್ಲದವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೂ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ
27 "‘Howbeit these enemies of mine who were not willing for me to become their King, bring them here, and slay them in my presence.’"
೨೭ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಆ ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಅಂದನು.
28 When he had so spoken he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
೨೮ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಟ್ಟಾ ಹತ್ತಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
29 When he was come near Bethphage and Bethany at the mount called The Olive Orchard,
೨೯ಅನಂತರ ಆತನು ಎಣ್ಣೆಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇತ್ಫಗೆಗೂ ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದಾಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು,
30 he sent two of his disciples saying. "Go into the village in the front, and on entering it you will find an ass’s colt tied, on which no one has ever ridden.
೩೦“ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿಗಿರುವ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವಿರಿ. ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರೂ ಹತ್ತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಕರೆತನ್ನಿರಿ.
31 "Untie it and bring it here. And if any one asks you, ‘Why are you untying the colt?’ Simply say, ‘The Master needs it.’"
೩೧ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ‘ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತೀರಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ‘ಇದು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಅನ್ನಿರಿ’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
32 Then those who were sent out and found it as he had told them.
೩೨ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಹೋಗಿ ಆತನು ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಕಂಡರು.
33 For as they were untying the colt, the owners said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?"
೩೩ಅವರು ಆ ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅದರ ಯಜಮಾನನು, “ಈ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ
34 They answered, "The Master needs it."
೩೪ಅವರು, “ಇದು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
35 So they led it to Jesus, and, after throwing their outer garments on the colt, they placed Jesus on it.
೩೫ಅದನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದರು.
36 So he rode on, while they kept throwing their garments in the way.
೩೬ಆತನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸಿದರು.
37 And when now he was coming near Jerusalem, and descending the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice, and to praise God with a loud voice for the almighty works they had seen.
೩೭ಆತನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಯುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಗುಂಪೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಾ ತಾವು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ,
38 They cried, "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in Heaven and glory in the Highest"
೩೮“ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನ, ಮೇಲಣಲೋಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆ” ಎಂದು ಮಹಾ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಡಗಿದರು.
39 And some of the Pharisees said to them out of the crowd, "Teacher reprove your disciples!"
೩೯ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿನೊಳಗಿದ್ದ ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ,
40 "I tell you," he answered, "that if these should hold their peace, the very stones would cry out."
೪೦ಆತನು, “ಇವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದರೆ ಈ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳೇ ಕೂಗುವವು” ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
41 And when he came into view of the city, as he approached it he broke into loud weeping,
೪೧ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಡುತ್ತಾ,
42 exclaiming. "Oh that at this time you knew, yes, even you, on what your peace depends! But now it is hidden from your eyes.
೪೨“ನೀನಾದರೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಇದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
43 "The time will come for you when your enemies will throw ramparts around you, and encompass you, and shut you in on every side, and raze you to the ground,
೪೩ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ದರ್ಶನಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಒಡ್ದುಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿ, ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ದಿನಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವವು” ಅಂದನು.
44 "you and your children within you. And they will not leave in you one stone upon the another. Because you knew not the time of your visitation."

45 Then Jesus went into the Temple and began to drive out dealers,
೪೫ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ,
46 saying, "It is written, "The house of God shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers."
೪೬“‘ನನ್ನ ಆಲಯವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಲಯವಾಗಿರುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ, ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗವಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿದನು.
47 Day after day he continued to teach in the Temple. The high priests and scribes tried to have him put to death, so did the rulers of the people.
೪೭ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಬೋಧನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ, ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
48 But they could not find how to do it, for the people all hung upon him, listening to him.
೪೮ಆದರೆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆತನ ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
