John 7
1 After these things Jesus continued to travel about in Galilee, for he did not wish to go about in Judea, because the Jews kept trying to kill him.
१यानंतर येशू गालील प्रांतात फिरू लागला, कारण यहूदी अधिकारी त्यास ठार मारायला पाहत होते. म्हणून त्यास यहूदीया प्रांतात फिरावेसे वाटले नाही.
2 When the time of the Jewish feast of Tabernacles drew near,
२यहूद्यांचा मंडपाचा सण जवळ आला होता.
3 his brothers said to him. "Leave here and go into Judea, so that your disciples also may behold the works which you are doing.
३म्हणून त्याचे भाऊ त्यास म्हणाले, “तू इथून नीघ आणि यहूदीया प्रांतात जा, म्हणजे तू करतोस ती तुझी कामे तुझ्या शिष्यांनीही पाहावीत.
4 "For no one ever does anything in secret if he himself seeks to be known publicly. If you are performing these signs, show yourself openly to the world."
४जो कोणी प्रसिद्ध होऊ पाहतो तो गुप्तपणे काही करत नाही. तू या गोष्टी करीत असशील तर स्वतः जगाला प्रकट हो.”
5 For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
५कारण त्याचे भाऊही त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवत नव्हते.
6 "My time is not yet come," said Jesus, "but your time is always at hand.
६त्यावरून येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “सणाला जाण्याची माझी वेळ अजून आलेली नाही; तुमची वेळ तर सर्वदा सिद्ध आहे.
7 "The world cannot hate you, but me it does hate, because I am bearing testimony against it, that its ways are wicked.
७जगाने तुमचा द्वेष करवा हे शक्य नाही; पण ते माझा द्वेष करते, कारण मी त्याच्याविषयी साक्ष देतो की, त्यांची कामे वाईट आहेत.
8 Do you go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fully come."
८तुम्ही सणाला वर जा. मी या सणाला आताच वर जात नाही कारण माझी वेळ अजून पूर्ण झालेली नाही.”
9 After saying this, he remained in Galilee; but after his brothers had gone up to feast,
९असे त्यांना सांगून तो गालील प्रांतात राहिला.
10 then he went too - not openly, but as it were a secret.
१०पण त्याचे भाऊ सणाला वर गेल्यानंतर तोसुध्दा, उघडपणे न जाता गुप्तपणे वर गेला.
11 The Jews meanwhile kept looking for him at feast, and saying, "Where is he?" "I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own Name these whom thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are one.
११तेव्हा, यहूदी त्यास सणात शोधीत होते आणि म्हणत होते, “तो आहे तरी कोठे?”
12 and there was much disputing about him among the crowd. Some would say, "He is a good man." Others. "No! he is misleading the people." "While I was with them I kept them by the power of thy name which thou hast given me. I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
१२आणि लोकांतही त्याच्याविषयी पुष्कळ कुजबुज सुरू झाली. कोणी म्हणत होते, “तो चांगला आहेः” दुसरे कोणी म्हणत होते, “नाही, तो लोकांस फसवतो.”
13 No one, however, was speaking openly about him, for fear of the Jews. "But now I am coming to thee, and I am speaking these things while I am in the world, so that they may have my joy in all its fulness in themselves.
१३तरी यहूद्यांच्या भीतीमुळे कोणीही त्याच्याविषयी उघडपणे बोलत नसे.
14 But when it was already the middle of the feast, Jesus went up to the Temple and began to teach. "I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
१४मग सण अर्धा आटोपल्यावर येशू वर परमेश्वराच्या भवनात जाऊन शिक्षण देऊ लागला.
15 The Jews were amazed. They said, "How does this fellow know the sacred writings when he has never learned them?" "I am not asking that thou wilt take them out of the world, but that thou wilt protect them from the Evil One.
१५तेव्हा यहूदी आश्चर्य करून म्हणू लागले, “शिकल्यावाचून याला विद्या कशी आली?”
16 In reply Jesus said to them; "My teaching is not mine, but is his who sent me. "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
१६त्यावरून येशूने त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “माझी शिकवण माझी नाही तर ज्याने मला पाठविले त्याची आहे.
17 "If any one wills to do God’s will he shall know concerning my teaching, whether it is from God, or I speak my own authority. "Dedicate them in thy truth; thy word is truth.
१७जो कोणी त्याच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे करण्याची इच्छा बाळगील त्यालाही शिकवण देवापासून आहे किंवा मी आपल्या मनाचे बोलतो हे समजेल.
18 "The man who speaks on his own authority is always seeking his own glory. But one who is eager for the glory of Him who sent him, he is true, and therefore is nothing false about him.
१८जो आपल्या मनाचे बोलतो, तो स्वतःचाच गौरव करतो, परंतु आपणाला ज्याने पाठवले त्याचे गौरव जो पाहतो तो मनुष्य खरा आहे व त्याच्यामध्ये अनीती नाही.
19 "Did not Moses give you the Law? Yet none of you is keeping the Law. Why are you seeking to kill me?"
१९मोशेने तुम्हास नियमशास्त्र दिले की नाही? तर तुम्ही कोणीही नियमशास्त्र पाळीत नाही. तुम्ही मला ठार मारायला का पाहता?”
20 The crowd answered. "You have a demon! Who is trying kill you?"
२०लोकांनी त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुला भूत लागले आहे. तुला ठार मारायला कोण पाहतो?”
21 Jesus answered them. "There was one thing I did, and you are all amazed.
२१येशूने त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “मी एक कृत्य केले व त्यामुळे तुम्ही सर्व आश्चर्य करता.
22 "Consider, therefore, Moses has given you circumcision - not that Moses originated it, but the fathers - and you are accustomed to circumcise a child even on the Sabbath.
२२मोशेने तुम्हास सुंता लावून दिली (तरी ती मोशेपासून नाही, पण पूर्वजांपासून आहे.) आणि तुम्ही शब्बाथ दिवशी मनुष्याची सुंता करता.
23 "If a child receives circumcision on the Sabbath, in order that the Law of Moses may not be broken, how can you be angry with me because I made a man sound and well on the Sabbath?
२३मोशेचे नियमशास्त्र मोडू नये म्हणून मनुष्याची सुंता जर शब्बाथ दिवशी होते तर, तर मी शब्बाथ दिवशी एका मनुष्यास अगदी बरे केले यामुळे तुम्ही माझ्यावर रागावता काय?
24 "Do not judge according to appearance. Judge justly."
२४तोंड पाहून न्याय करू नका तर यथार्थ न्याय करा.”
25 Then some of the men of Jerusalem were saying. "Is not this the man they are seeking to kill?
२५यावरुन यरूशलेमकरांपैकी कित्येकजण म्हणू लागले, “ज्याला ठार मारायला पाहतात तो हाच ना?
26 "And look! he is speaking boldly and they are saying nothing to him. Can it possibly be that the rulers have really discovered that he is the Christ?
२६पाहा, तो उघडपणे बोलत आहे आणि ते त्यास काहीच बोलत नाहीत. हाच ख्रिस्त आहे, हे खरोखर अधिकार्‍यांना कळले आहे काय?
27 "But we know this man and where he is from; but when the Christ comes no one will know where he comes from."
२७तरी हा कुठला आहे हे आम्हास ठाऊक आहे; पण ख्रिस्त येईल तेव्हा तो कोठला आहे हे कोणालाही कळणार नाही.”
28 So Jesus cried aloud as he was teaching in the Temple, and said. "You both know me and you know where I am from; and I am not come on my own authority, but he who sent me is trustworthy, and him you do not know.
२८यावरुन येशू परमेश्वराच्या भवनात शिक्षण देत असता मोठ्याने म्हणाला, “तुम्ही मला ओळखता आणि मी कुठला आहे हे तुम्ही जाणता; तरीही मी आपण होऊन आलो नाही; ज्याने मला पाठवले तो खरा आहे त्यास तुम्ही ओळखत नाही.
29 "But I now him, because I am from him and he sent me."
२९मी तर त्यास ओळखतो, कारण मी त्याच्यापासून आहे व त्याने मला पाठवले आहे.”
30 Then they kept seeking to arrest him, but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
३०यावरुन ते त्यास धरण्यास पाहत होते, तरी कोणी त्याच्यावर हात टाकला नाही, कारण त्याची वेळ अजून आली नव्हती.
31 But many of the crowd believed on him and began to say, "The Christ, when he comes, will he do more signs than this man has done?"
३१तेव्हा लोकसमुदायातील पुष्कळांनी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला व ते म्हणू लागले, “ख्रिस्त येईल तेव्हा याने केलेल्या चिन्हांपेक्षा तो काही अधिक काय करणार आहे?”
32 The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things about him, and the high priest and Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.
३२लोकसमुदाय त्याच्याविषयी अशी कुजबुज करत आहे हे परूश्यांच्या कानावर गेले आणि मुख्य याजक लोक व परूश्यांनी त्यास धरण्यास कामदार पाठवले.
33 Then Jesus said to them. "Still for a little longer I am with you, and then I am going my way to him who sent me.
३३यावरुन येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “मी आणखी थोडा वेळ तुमच्याबरोबर आहे मग ज्याने मला पाठवले त्याच्याकडे मी निघून जाणार आहे.
34 "You will search for me and will not find me, and where I am you cannot come."
३४तुम्ही माझा शोध कराल तरी मी तुम्हास सापडणार नाही आणि जेथे मी असेन तेथे तुम्ही येऊ शकणार नाही.”
35 Then the Jews said to one another. "Where does this fellow intend to go, so that we shall not find him? He is not intending to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and to teach the Greeks, is he?
३५यामुळे यहूदी आपसात म्हणाले, “हा आपल्याला सापडणार नाही असा हा कोठे जाईल? हा ग्रीकमधील आपल्या पांगलेल्या यहूदी लोकांस जाऊन त्यांस शिकवील काय?
36 "What does he mean saying, ‘You shall seek me and you shall not find me,’ and ‘Where I am you cannot come’?"
३६हा जे म्हणतो की, ‘तुम्ही माझा शोध कराल आणि मी तुम्हास सापडणार नाही आणि मी असेन तिथे तुम्ही येऊ शकणार नाही,’ हे म्हणणे काय आहे?”
37 Now the last day, that the great day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried in a loud voice.
३७मग सणाच्या शेवटल्या दिवशी म्हणजे मोठ्या दिवशी, येशू उभा राहून मोठ्याने म्हणाला, “कोणी तहानलेला असेल तर त्याने माझ्याकडे यावे आणि प्यावे.
38 "If any man thirst let him come to me and drink. From the heart of him who believes in me will flow, as the Scripture said, rivers of living water."
३८जो माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवतो त्याच्या अंतःकरणातून शास्त्रलेखात सांगितल्याप्रमाणे जिवंत पाण्याच्या नद्या वाहतील.”
39 Now he said this concerning the Spirit whom those who believed in him should receive. For the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
३९ज्यांनी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला त्यांना जो आत्मा मिळणार होता, त्याच्याविषयी त्याने हे म्हटले. तोपर्यंत पवित्र आत्मा दिलेला नव्हता, कारण अजून येशूचे गौरव झाले नव्हते.
40 Some of the crowd who had been listening to these discourses began to say, "Without a doubt this man is a Prophet."
४०लोकसमुदायातील कित्येकजण हे शब्द ऐकून म्हणत होते, “खरोखर, हा तो संदेष्टा आहे.”
41 Other said, "He is the Christ." But others were saying. "Surely the Christ is not to come out of Galilee, is he?
४१कित्येक म्हणाले, “हा ख्रिस्त आहे.” दुसरे कित्येक म्हणाले, “ख्रिस्त गालील प्रांतातून येणार आहे काय?
42 "Does not the Scripture say that the Christ is coming of the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, David’s town?"
४२दाविदाच्या वंशाचा आणि ज्या गावात दावीद होता त्या बेथलेहेमातून ख्रिस्त येईल अस शास्त्रलेख म्हणत नाही काय?”
43 So a division arose in the crowd concerning him. Some of them wished to apprehend him, but no one laid hands on him.
४३यावरुन त्याच्यामुळे लोकात फूट झाली.
44 Then the officers returned to the chief priest and Pharisees,
४४त्यांच्यातील कित्येकजण त्यास धरायला पाहत होते, तरी कोणी त्याच्यावर हात टाकले नाहीत.
45 and they asked them, "Why have you not brought him?"
४५मग कामदार मुख्य याजकांकडे व परूश्यांकडे आले, तेव्हा ते त्यांना म्हणाले, “तुम्ही त्यास का आणले नाही?”
46 The officers answered, "Never yet did a man speak like this man."
४६कामदारांनी उत्तर दिले, “कोणीही मनुष्य त्याच्यासारखा कधी बोलला नाही.”
47 "Surely you have not been led astray, have you? answered the Pharisees.
४७तेव्हा परूश्यांनी त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “तुम्हीपण फसलात काय?
48 "Has any one of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?
४८अधिकार्‍यांपैकी किंवा परूश्यांपैकी कोणी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला आहे काय?
49 "As for this mob who do not understand the Law, they are accursed!"
४९पण हा जो लोकसमुदाय नियमशास्त्र जाणत नाही तो शापित आहे.”
50 Nicodemus, one of their number, he who had formerly visited Jesus, said to them,
५०पूर्वी त्याच्याकडे आलेला आणि त्यांच्यातला एक असलेला निकदेम त्यांना म्हणाला.
51 "Our law does not condemn the accused, does it, before hearing his defense, and finding out what he is doing?"
५१“एखाद्या मनुष्याचे ऐकण्याअगोदर आणि तो काय करतो याची माहीती करून घेतल्यावाचून आपले नियमशास्त्र त्याचा न्याय करते काय?”
52 In answer they said to him. "You are not from Galilee, are you? Search for yourself, and see that from Galilee arises no prophet."
५२त्यांनी त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुम्हीपण गालील प्रांतातले आहात काय? शोधा आणि बघा, कारण गालील प्रांतातून संदेष्टा उद्भवत नाही.”
53 Then they departed each to his own house.
५३मग ते सर्वजण आपआपल्या घरी गेले.
