Hebrews 13
1 Let brotherly love continue.
Die Bruderliebe soll bleiben!
2 Do not neglect to show hospitality; for by it some have even entertained angels unawares.
Gastfrei zu sein vergesset nicht; denn dadurch haben etliche ohne ihr Wissen Engel beherbergt.
3 Remember those who are in prison, as if you were fellow prisoners; remember too, those who are being ill-treated, since you too, are in the body.
Gedenket der Gefangenen als Mitgefangene und derer, die Ungemach leiden, als solche, die selbst auch noch im Leibe leben.
4 Let marriage be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers will God judge.
Die Ehe ist von allen in Ehren zu halten und das Ehebett unbefleckt; denn Hurer und Ehebrecher wird Gott richten!
5 Let your life be untainted by love of money; be content with such things as you have; for God himself has said, I will never leave thee; I will never forsake thee.
Der Wandel sei ohne Geiz! Begnüget euch mit dem Vorhandenen! Denn er selbst hat gesagt: «Ich will dich nicht verlassen noch versäumen!»
6 So that we can say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Also daß wir getrost sagen mögen: «Der Herr ist mein Helfer; ich fürchte mich nicht! Was können Menschen mir tun?»
7 Remember your leaders, the men who spoke the message of God to you; consider the issue of their lives, and imitate their faith.
Gedenket eurer Führer, die euch das Wort Gottes gesagt haben; schauet das Ende ihres Wandels an und ahmet ihren Glauben nach!
Jesus Christus ist gestern und heute und derselbe auch in Ewigkeit! (aiōn g165)
9 Do not allow yourselves to be swept away by various and strange teachings. For it is a beautiful thing to be established in heart by grace, and not by regulations regarding food, from which those that occupied themselves with them have derived no benefit.
Lasset euch nicht von mancherlei und fremden Lehren umhertreiben; denn es ist gut, daß das Herz durch Gnade befestigt werde, nicht durch Speisen, mit welchen sich abzugeben noch niemand Nutzen gebracht hat.
10 We Christians have an altar from which those have no right to eat who minister in the Tabernacle.
Es gibt einen Altar, von welchem die Diener der Stiftshütte nicht essen dürfen.
11 For the bodies of the animals whose blood is carried by the High Priest into the Holy Place are burned outside the camp,
Denn von den Tieren, deren Blut für die Sünde durch den Hohenpriester ins Allerheiligste getragen wird, werden die Leiber außerhalb des Lagers verbrannt.
12 and so Jesus suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood.
Darum hat auch Jesus, um das Volk durch sein eigenes Blut zu heiligen, außerhalb des Tores gelitten.
13 Let us then go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.
So lasset uns nun zu ihm hinausgehen, außerhalb des Lagers, und seine Schmach tragen!
14 For we have not here an abiding city, but we are earnestly seeking the city that is to be.
Denn wir haben hier keine bleibende Stadt, sondern suchen die zukünftige.
15 In his name, then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of lips that confess his name.
Durch ihn lasset uns nun Gott allezeit ein Opfer des Lobes darbringen, das ist die «Frucht der Lippen», die seinen Namen bekennen!
16 And forget not to be kind and liberal; for with that sort of sacrifice God is well pleased.
Wohlzutun und mitzuteilen vergesset nicht; denn solche Opfer gefallen Gott wohl!
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who must give account; that they may do thus with joy and not with lamentation, for this would be unprofitable to you.
Gehorchet euren Führern und folget ihnen; denn sie wachen über eure Seelen als solche, die Rechenschaft ablegen sollen, damit sie das mit Freuden tun mögen und nicht mit Seufzen; denn das wäre euch zum Schaden!
18 Keep on praying for me. I am persuaded that I have a clear conscience, and I desire in every way to live nobly.
Betet für uns! Denn wir sind überzeugt, ein gutes Gewissen zu haben, da wir uns allenthalben eines anständigen Lebenswandels befleißigen.
19 I the more earnestly ask for your prayers, that I may be the more speedily restored to you.
Um so mehr aber ermahne ich euch, solches zu tun, damit ich euch desto bälder wiedergeschenkt werde.
20 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of an eternal covenant, (aiōnios g166)
Der Gott des Friedens aber, der den großen Hirten der Schafe von den Toten ausgeführt hat, mit dem Blut eines ewigen Bundes, unsren Herrn Jesus, (aiōnios g166)
21 equip you in every good deed for the doing of his will, doing in you what is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory unto the ages of the ages! Amen! (aiōn g165)
der rüste euch mit allem Guten aus, seinen Willen zu tun, indem er selbst in euch schafft, was vor ihm wohlgefällig ist, durch Jesus Christus. Ihm sei die Ehre von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Amen. (aiōn g165)
22 But I entreat you, brothers, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.
Ich ermahne euch aber, ihr Brüder, nehmet das Wort der Ermahnung an! Denn ich habe euch mit kurzen Worten geschrieben.
23 You know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he comes soon, I will see him with you.
Wisset, daß unser Bruder Timotheus freigelassen worden ist; wenn er bald kommt, will ich euch mit ihm besuchen.
24 Salute all your leaders and the saints. The brothers from Italy send you greeting.
Grüßet alle eure Führer und alle Heiligen! Es grüßen euch die von Italien!
25 Grace be with you all, Amen.
