Galatians 4
1 What I mean is this. As long as the heir is a child, he differs in no respect from a slave, though he be the owner of the whole inheritance;
ཨཧཾ ཝདཱམི སམྤདདྷིཀཱརཱི ཡཱཝད྄ བཱལསྟིཥྛཏི ཏཱཝཏ྄ སཪྻྭསྭསྱཱདྷིཔཏིཿ སནྣཔི ས དཱསཱཏ྄ ཀེནཱཔི ཝིཥཡེཎ ན ཝིཤིཥྱཏེ
2 but is under the control of guardians and trustees, until the time appointed by his father.
ཀིནྟུ པིཏྲཱ ནིརཱུཔིཏཾ སམཡཾ ཡཱཝཏ྄ པཱལཀཱནཱཾ དྷནཱདྷྱཀྵཱཎཱཉྩ ནིགྷྣསྟིཥྛཏི།
3 So we Jews also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the empty externalities of the world.
ཏདྭད྄ ཝཡམཔི བཱལྱཀཱལེ དཱསཱ ཨིཝ སཾསཱརསྱཱཀྵརམཱལཱཡཱ ཨདྷཱིནཱ ཨཱསྨཧེ།
4 But when the fulness of time was come God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under law,
ཨནནྟརཾ སམཡེ སམྤཱུརྞཏཱཾ གཏཝཏི ཝྱཝསྠཱདྷཱིནཱནཱཾ མོཙནཱརྠམ྄
5 to redeem from captivity those under law, in order that we might receive our sonship.
ཨསྨཱཀཾ པུཏྲཏྭཔྲཱཔྟྱརྠཉྩེཤྭརཿ སྟྲིཡཱ ཛཱཏཾ ཝྱཝསྠཱཡཱ ཨདྷིནཱིབྷཱུཏཉྩ སྭཔུཏྲཾ པྲེཥིཏཝཱན྄།
6 And because you are sons, God sent forth the spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, "Dear, dear Father!"
ཡཱུཡཾ སནྟཱནཱ ཨབྷཝཏ ཏཏྐཱརཎཱད྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཿ སྭཔུཏྲསྱཱཏྨཱནཱཾ ཡུཥྨཱཀམ྄ ཨནྟཿཀརཎཱནི པྲཧིཏཝཱན྄ ས ཙཱཏྨཱ པིཏཿ པིཏརིཏྱཱཧྭཱནཾ ཀཱརཡཏི།
7 So each one of you is no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir, too, through God’s grace.
ཨཏ ཨིདཱནཱིཾ ཡཱུཡཾ ན དཱསཱཿ ཀིནྟུཿ སནྟཱནཱ ཨེཝ ཏསྨཱཏ྄ སནྟཱནཏྭཱཙྩ ཁྲཱིཥྚེནེཤྭརཱིཡསམྤདདྷིཀཱརིཎོ྅པྱཱདྷྭེ།
8 But once, when you Gentiles had no knowledge of God, you were slaves to gods which have no real being.
ཨཔརཉྩ པཱུཪྻྭཾ ཡཱུཡམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཾ ན ཛྙཱཏྭཱ ཡེ སྭབྷཱཝཏོ྅ནཱིཤྭརཱསྟེཥཱཾ དཱསཏྭེ྅ཏིཥྛཏ།
9 Now, however, when you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you are beginning to turn back to those weak and beggarly externalities, eager to be in bondage to them again?
ཨིདཱནཱིམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརཾ ཛྙཱཏྭཱ ཡདི ཝེཤྭརེཎ ཛྙཱཏཱ ཡཱུཡཾ ཀཐཾ པུནསྟཱནི ཝིཕལཱནི ཏུཙྪཱནི ཙཱཀྵརཱཎི པྲཏི པརཱཝརྟྟིཏུཾ ཤཀྣུཐ? ཡཱུཡཾ ཀིཾ པུནསྟེཥཱཾ དཱསཱ བྷཝིཏུམིཙྪཐ?
10 You are scrupulous, are you, in observing "days" and "months" and "seasons" and "years"?
ཡཱུཡཾ དིཝསཱན྄ མཱསཱན྄ ཏིཐཱིན྄ སཾཝཏྶརཱཾཤྩ སམྨནྱདྷྭེ།
11 I am alarmed about you for fear lest I may have bestowed labor on you to no purpose.
ཡུཥྨདརྠཾ མཡཱ ཡཿ པརིཤྲམོ྅ཀཱརི ས ཝིཕལོ ཛཱཏ ཨིཏི ཡུཥྨཱནདྷྱཧཾ བིབྷེམི།
12 Brothers, I beseech you, become as I am, because I also have become as you are. You never did me any wrong;
ཧེ བྷྲཱཏརཿ, ཨཧཾ ཡཱདྲྀཤོ྅སྨི ཡཱུཡམཔི ཏཱདྲྀཤཱ བྷཝཏེཏི པྲཱརྠཡེ ཡཏོ྅ཧམཔི ཡུཥྨཏྟུལྱོ྅བྷཝཾ ཡུཥྨཱབྷི རྨམ ཀིམཔི ནཱཔརཱདྡྷཾ།
13 on the contrary, you know that although it was illness which brought about my preaching the gospel to you at my first visit,
པཱུཪྻྭམཧཾ ཀལེཝརསྱ དཽརྦྦལྱེན ཡུཥྨཱན྄ སུསཾཝཱདམ྄ ཨཛྙཱཔཡམིཏི ཡཱུཡཾ ཛཱནཱིཐ།
14 and although my bodily affliction was a trial to you, you did not scoff at it nor spurn me, but welcomed me like an angel of God, like Christ Jesus himself.
ཏདཱནཱིཾ མམ པརཱིཀྵཀཾ ཤཱརཱིརཀླེཤཾ དྲྀཥྚྭཱ ཡཱུཡཾ མཱམ྄ ཨཝཛྙཱཡ ཨྲྀཏཱིཡིཏཝནྟསྟནྣཧི ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརསྱ དཱུཏམིཝ སཱཀྵཱཏ྄ ཁྲཱིཥྚ ཡཱིཤུམིཝ ཝཱ མཱཾ གྲྀཧཱིཏཝནྟཿ།
15 Why then did you account yourselves so happy? (For I bear you witness that if you could you would have torn out your own eyes and given them to me.)
ཨཏསྟདཱནཱིཾ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ ཡཱ དྷནྱཏཱབྷཝཏ྄ སཱ ཀྐ གཏཱ? ཏདཱནཱིཾ ཡཱུཡཾ ཡདི སྭེཥཱཾ ནཡནཱནྱུཏྤཱཊྱ མཧྱཾ དཱཏུམ྄ ཨཤཀྵྱཏ ཏརྷི ཏདཔྱཀརིཥྱཏེཏི པྲམཱཎམ྄ ཨཧཾ དདཱམི།
16 Am I then become your enemy, because I am telling you the truth?
སཱམྤྲཏམཧཾ སཏྱཝཱདིཏྭཱཏ྄ ཀིཾ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ རིཔུ རྫཱཏོ྅སྨི?
17 These men are courting your favor to no good purpose. They want to isolate you, so that you will be courting their favor.
ཏེ ཡུཥྨཏྐྲྀཏེ སྤརྡྡྷནྟེ ཀིནྟུ སཱ སྤརྡྡྷཱ ཀུཏྶིཏཱ ཡཏོ ཡཱུཡཾ ཏཱནདྷི ཡཏ྄ སྤརྡྡྷདྷྭཾ ཏདརྠཾ ཏེ ཡུཥྨཱན྄ པྲྀཐཀ྄ ཀརྟྟུམ྄ ཨིཙྪནྟི།
18 It is always an honorable thing to have your favor sought in an honorable cause, always, and not only when I am with you.
ཀེཝལཾ ཡུཥྨཏྶམཱིཔེ མམོཔསྠིཏིསམཡེ ཏནྣཧི, ཀིནྟུ སཪྻྭདཻཝ བྷདྲམདྷི སྤརྡྡྷནཾ བྷདྲཾ།
19 O my little children, of whom I travail again in birth until Christ be formed within you!
ཧེ མམ བཱལཀཱཿ, ཡུཥྨདནྟ ཪྻཱཝཏ྄ ཁྲཱིཥྚོ མཱུརྟིམཱན྄ ན བྷཝཏི ཏཱཝད྄ ཡུཥྨཏྐཱརཎཱཏ྄ པུནཿ པྲསཝཝེདནེཝ མམ ཝེདནཱ ཛཱཡཏེ།
20 How I wish I could be with you now, that I might change my tone; for I am perplexed about you.
ཨཧམིདཱནཱིཾ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ སནྣིདྷིཾ གཏྭཱ སྭརཱནྟརེཎ ཡུཥྨཱན྄ སམྦྷཱཥིཏུཾ ཀཱམཡེ ཡཏོ ཡུཥྨཱནདྷི ཝྱཱཀུལོ྅སྨི།
21 Tell me, you who wish to be subject to the Law, why do you not listen to the Law?
ཧེ ཝྱཝསྠཱདྷཱིནཏཱཀཱངྐྵིཎཿ ཡཱུཡཾ ཀིཾ ཝྱཝསྠཱཡཱ ཝཙནཾ ན གྲྀཧླཱིཐ?
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and one by the free woman;
ཏནྨཱཾ ཝདཏ། ལིཁིཏམཱསྟེ, ཨིབྲཱཧཱིམོ དྭཽ པུཏྲཱཝཱསཱཏེ ཏཡོརེཀོ དཱསྱཱཾ དྭིཏཱིཡཤྩ པཏྣྱཱཾ ཛཱཏཿ།
23 but while the son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, the son by the free woman was born in fulfilment of a promise.
ཏཡོ ཪྻོ དཱསྱཱཾ ཛཱཏཿ ས ཤཱརཱིརིཀནིཡམེན ཛཛྙེ ཡཤྩ པཏྣྱཱཾ ཛཱཏཿ ས པྲཏིཛྙཡཱ ཛཛྙེ།
24 Now all this is an allegory, for these women are the two covenants; one from Mount Sinai, which is Hagar bearing children into bondage
ཨིདམཱཁྱཱནཾ དྲྀཥྚནྟསྭརཱུཔཾ། ཏེ དྭེ ཡོཥིཏཱཝཱིཤྭརཱིཡསནྡྷཱི ཏཡོརེཀཱ སཱིནཡཔཪྻྭཏཱད྄ ཨུཏྤནྣཱ དཱསཛནཡིཏྲཱི ཙ སཱ ཏུ ཧཱཛིརཱ།
25 (for the word Hagar stands for Mt. Sinai in Arabia and represents the present Jerusalem who with her children is in bondage.)
ཡསྨཱད྄ ཧཱཛིརཱཤབྡེནཱརཝདེཤསྠསཱིནཡཔཪྻྭཏོ བོདྷྱཏེ, སཱ ཙ ཝརྟྟམཱནཱཡཱ ཡིརཱུཤཱལམྤུཪྻྱཱཿ སདྲྀཤཱི། ཡཏཿ སྭབཱལཻཿ སཧིཏཱ སཱ དཱསཏྭ ཨཱསྟེ།
26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
ཀིནྟུ སྭརྒཱིཡཱ ཡིརཱུཤཱལམྤུརཱི པཏྣཱི སཪྻྭེཥཱམ྄ ཨསྨཱཀཾ མཱཏཱ ཙཱསྟེ།
27 For it is written, Rejoice, O thou barren one who dost never bear, Break forth in joy, thou that dost not travail; For the children of the desolate woman are many. Yea, more than hers who has a husband.
ཡཱདྲྀཤཾ ལིཁིཏམ྄ ཨཱསྟེ, "ཝནྡྷྱེ སནྟཱནཧཱིནེ ཏྭཾ སྭརཾ ཛཡཛཡཾ ཀུརུ། ཨཔྲསཱུཏེ ཏྭཡོལླཱསོ ཛཡཱཤབྡཤྩ གཱིཡཏཱཾ། ཡཏ ཨེཝ སནཱཐཱཡཱ ཡོཥིཏཿ སནྟཏེ རྒཎཱཏ྄། ཨནཱཐཱ ཡཱ བྷཝེནྣཱརཱི ཏདཔཏྱཱནི བྷཱུརིཤཿ༎ "
28 But you, brothers, are like Isaac, children of the promise;
ཧེ བྷྲཱཏྲྀགཎ, ཨིམྷཱཀ྄ ཨིཝ ཝཡཾ པྲཏིཛྙཡཱ ཛཱཏཱཿ སནྟཱནཱཿ།
29 but just as in old times the son born by the flesh used to persecute the son born by the power of the Spirit, so also it is now.
ཀིནྟུ ཏདཱནཱིཾ ཤཱརཱིརིཀནིཡམེན ཛཱཏཿ པུཏྲོ ཡདྭད྄ ཨཱཏྨིཀནིཡམེན ཛཱཏཾ པུཏྲམ྄ ཨུཔཱདྲཝཏ྄ ཏཐཱདྷུནཱཔི།
30 But what does the Scripture say? Send away the slave-woman and her son; for the slave’s son shall not be heir along with the son of the free woman.
ཀིནྟུ ཤཱསྟྲེ ཀིཾ ལིཁིཏཾ? "ཏྭམ྄ ཨིམཱཾ དཱསཱིཾ ཏསྱཱཿ པུཏྲཉྩཱཔསཱརཡ ཡཏ ཨེཥ དཱསཱིཔུཏྲཿ པཏྣཱིཔུཏྲེཎ སམཾ ནོཏྟརཱདྷིཀཱརཱི བྷཝིཡྻཏཱིཏི། "
31 So, brothers, we are the children of no slave woman, but of free woman. For freedom did not Christ set us free;
ཨཏཨེཝ ཧེ བྷྲཱཏརཿ, ཝཡཾ དཱསྱཱཿ སནྟཱནཱ ན བྷཱུཏྭཱ པཱཏྣྱཱཿ སནྟཱནཱ བྷཝཱམཿ།
