< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 Do you then, my son, strengthen you heart in the grace which is in Christ Jesus.
ཧེ མམ པུཏྲ, ཁྲཱིཥྚཡཱིཤུཏོ ཡོ྅ནུགྲཧསྟསྱ བལེན ཏྭཾ བལཝཱན྄ བྷཝ།
2 The teachings which you have heard from me, attested by many witnesses, deliver into the keeping of faithful men, who in their turn will be able to teach others also.
ཨཔརཾ བཧུབྷིཿ སཱཀྵིབྷིཿ པྲམཱཎཱིཀྲྀཏཱཾ ཡཱཾ ཤིཀྵཱཾ ཤྲུཏཝཱནསི ཏཱཾ ཝིཤྭཱསྱེཥུ པརསྨཻ ཤིཀྵཱདཱནེ ནིཔུཎེཥུ ཙ ལོཀེཥུ སམརྤཡ།
3 Take your share in suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
ཏྭཾ ཡཱིཤུཁྲཱིཥྚསྱོཏྟམོ ཡོདྡྷེཝ ཀླེཤཾ སཧསྭ།
4 A soldier in active service avoids entangling himself in the every- day affairs of life, so that he may please his commander.
ཡོ ཡུདྡྷཾ ཀརོཏི ས སཱཾསཱརིཀེ ཝྱཱཔཱརེ མགྣོ ན བྷཝཏི ཀིནྟུ སྭནིཡོཛཡིཏྲེ རོཙིཏུཾ ཙེཥྚཏེ།
5 And again, an athlete is not crowned unless he obeys the rules of the game.
ཨཔརཾ ཡོ མལླཻ ཪྻུདྷྱཏི ས ཡདི ནིཡམཱནུསཱརེཎ ན ཡུདྡྷྱཏི ཏརྷི ཀིརཱིཊཾ ན ལཔྶྱཏེ།
6 The farmer who has done the work should be the first to get a share of the crop.
ཨཔརཾ ཡཿ ཀྲྀཥཱིཝལཿ ཀརྨྨ ཀརོཏི ཏེན པྲཐམེན ཕལབྷཱགིནཱ བྷཝིཏཝྱཾ།
7 Reflect on what I am telling you. The Lord will give you understanding in everything.
མཡཱ ཡདུཙྱཏེ ཏཏ྄ ཏྭཡཱ བུདྷྱཏཱཾ ཡཏཿ པྲབྷུསྟུབྷྱཾ སཪྻྭཏྲ བུདྡྷིཾ དཱསྱཏི།
8 Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of David, has been raised from the dead according to the gospel I proclaim.
མམ སུསཾཝཱདསྱ ཝཙནཱནུསཱརཱད྄ དཱཡཱུདྭཾཤཱིཡཾ མྲྀཏགཎམདྷྱཱད྄ ཨུཏྠཱཔིཏཉྩ ཡཱིཤུཾ ཁྲཱིཥྚཾ སྨར།
9 For preaching it I am suffering, and am even put in chains as a malefacter. But God’s message is no prisoner.
ཏཏྶུསཾཝཱདཀཱརཎཱད྄ ཨཧཾ དུཥྐརྨྨེཝ བནྡྷནདཤཱཔཪྻྱནྟཾ ཀླེཤཾ བྷུཉྫེ ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརསྱ ཝཱཀྱམ྄ ཨབདྡྷཾ ཏིཥྛཏི།
10 That is why I endure everything for the sake of the chosen, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
ཁྲཱིཥྚེན ཡཱིཤུནཱ ཡད྄ ཨནནྟགཽརཝསཧིཏཾ པརིཏྲཱཎཾ ཛཱཡཏེ ཏདབྷིརུཙིཏཻ རློཀཻརཔི ཡཏ྄ ལབྷྱེཏ ཏདརྠམཧཾ ཏེཥཱཾ ནིམིཏྟཾ སཪྻྭཱཎྱེཏཱནི སཧེ། (aiōnios g166)
11 Faithful is the saying. "If we have died with him, we shall also live with him.
ཨཔརམ྄ ཨེཥཱ བྷཱརཏཱི སཏྱཱ ཡདི ཝཡཾ ཏེན སཱརྡྡྷཾ མྲིཡཱམཧེ ཏརྷི ཏེན སཱརྡྡྷཾ ཛཱིཝིཝྱཱམཿ, ཡདི ཙ ཀླེཤཾ སཧཱམཧེ ཏརྷི ཏེན སཱརྡྡྷཾ རཱཛཏྭམཔི ཀརིཥྱཱམཧེ།
12 If we endure suffering, we shall also reign with him. If we disown him, he too will disown us.
ཡདི ཝཡཾ ཏམ྄ ཨནངྒཱིཀུརྨྨསྟརྷི སོ ྅སྨཱནཔྱནངྒཱིཀརིཥྱཏི།
13 If we prove faithless. he abides faithful, for he cannot be false to himself."
ཡདི ཝཡཾ ན ཝིཤྭཱསཱམསྟརྷི ས ཝིཤྭཱསྱསྟིཥྛཏི ཡཏཿ སྭམ྄ ཨཔཧྣོཏུཾ ན ཤཀྣོཏི།
14 Always call these truths to men’s mind; adjuring them in the presence of God to avoid controversy. It is a useless thing, and subverts those who listen to it.
ཏྭམེཏཱནི སྨཱརཡན྄ ཏེ ཡཐཱ ནིཥྥལཾ ཤྲོཏྲྀཎཱཾ བྷྲཾཤཛནཀཾ ཝཱགྱུདྡྷཾ ན ཀུཪྻྱསྟཐཱ པྲབྷོཿ སམཀྵཾ དྲྀཌྷཾ ཝིནཱིཡཱདིཤ།
15 Strive earnestly to present yourself unto God, tested and proved worthy by trial, a workman unashamed, ever cutting a straight path for the message of the truth.
ཨཔརཾ ཏྭམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ སཱཀྵཱཏ྄ སྭཾ པརཱིཀྵིཏམ྄ ཨནིནྡནཱིཡཀརྨྨཀཱརིཎཉྩ སཏྱམཏསྱ ཝཱཀྱཱནཱཾ སདྭིབྷཛནེ ནིཔུཎཉྩ དརྴཡིཏུཾ ཡཏསྭ།
16 but avoid profane babble; for people will go farther and farther in impiety,
ཀིནྟྭཔཝིཏྲཱ ཨནརྠཀཀཐཱ དཱུརཱིཀུརུ ཡཏསྟདཱལམྦིན ཨུཏྟརོཏྟརམ྄ ཨདྷརྨྨེ ཝརྡྡྷིཥྱནྟེ,
17 and their teaching will spread like a gangrene.
ཏེཥཱཉྩ ཝཱཀྱཾ གལིཏཀྵཏཝཏ྄ ཀྵཡཝརྡྡྷཀོ བྷཝིཥྱཏི ཏེཥཱཾ མདྷྱེ ཧུམིནཱཡཿ ཕིལཱིཏཤྩེཏིནཱམཱནཽ དྭཽ ཛནཽ སཏྱམཏཱད྄ བྷྲཥྚཽ ཛཱཏཽ,
18 Among such are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have gone astray concerning the truth by declaring that the resurrection is already past; and they are undermining the faith of some.
མྲྀཏཱནཱཾ པུནརུཏྠིཏི ཪྻྱཏཱིཏེཏི ཝདནྟཽ ཀེཥཱཉྩིད྄ ཝིཤྭཱསམ྄ ཨུཏྤཱཊཡཏཤྩ།
19 Nevertheless God’s firm foundation stands unshaken, bearing this inscription, THE LORD KNOWS THOSE WHO ARE HIS, and this also, LET EVERY ONE WHO NAMES THE NAME OF THE LORD RENOUNCE WICKEDNESS.
ཏཐཱཔཱིཤྭརསྱ བྷིཏྟིམཱུལམ྄ ཨཙལཾ ཏིཥྛཏི ཏསྨིཾཤྩེཡཾ ལིཔི རྨུདྲཱངྐིཏཱ ཝིདྱཏེ། ཡཐཱ, ཛཱནཱཏི པརམེཤསྟུ སྭཀཱིཡཱན྄ སཪྻྭམཱནཝཱན྄། ཨཔགཙྪེད྄ ཨདྷརྨྨཱཙྩ ཡཿ ཀཤྩིཏ྄ ཁྲཱིཥྚནཱམཀྲྀཏ྄༎
20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for noble, some for ignoble uses.
ཀིནྟུ བྲྀཧནྣིཀེཏནེ ཀེཝལ སུཝརྞམཡཱནི རཽཔྱམཡཱཎི ཙ བྷཱཛནཱནི ཝིདྱནྟ ཨིཏི ཏརྷི ཀཱཥྛམཡཱནི མྲྀཎྨཡཱནྱཔི ཝིདྱནྟེ ཏེཥཱཉྩ ཀིཡནྟི སམྨཱནཱཡ ཀིཡནྟཔམཱནཱཡ ཙ བྷཝནྟི།
21 If then a man keeps himself clear of these latter, he will be a vessel for honor, consecrated, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
ཨཏོ ཡདི ཀཤྩིད྄ ཨེཏཱདྲྀཤེབྷྱཿ སྭཾ པརིཥྐརོཏི ཏརྷི ས པཱཝིཏཾ པྲབྷོཿ ཀཱཪྻྱཡོགྱཾ སཪྻྭསཏྐཱཪྻྱཱཡོཔཡུཀྟཾ སམྨཱནཱརྠཀཉྩ བྷཱཛནཾ བྷཝིཥྱཏི།
22 Flee from the passions of youth, but run after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, in company with those who out of a pure heart call upon the Lord.
ཡཽཝནཱཝསྠཱཡཱ ཨབྷིལཱཥཱསྟྭཡཱ པརིཏྱཛྱནྟཱཾ དྷརྨྨོ ཝིཤྭཱསཿ པྲེམ ཡེ ཙ ཤུཙིམནོབྷིཿ པྲབྷུམ྄ ཨུདྡིཤྱ པྲཱརྠནཱཾ ཀུཪྻྭཏེ ཏཻཿ སཱརྡྡྷམ྄ ཨཻཀྱབྷཱཝཤྩཻཏེཥུ ཏྭཡཱ ཡཏྣོ ཝིདྷཱིཡཏཱཾ།
23 Ever shun foolish and puerile discussions, for you know that they lead to quarrels.
ཨཔརཾ ཏྭམ྄ ཨནརྠཀཱན྄ ཨཛྙཱནཱཾཤྩ པྲཤྣཱན྄ ཝཱགྱུདྡྷོཏྤཱདཀཱན྄ ཛྙཱཏྭཱ དཱུརཱིཀུརུ།
24 The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be kind to all men; a skilful teacher, patient of wrong.
ཡཏཿ པྲབྷོ རྡཱསེན ཡུདྡྷམ྄ ཨཀརྟྟཝྱཾ ཀིནྟུ སཪྻྭཱན྄ པྲཏི ཤཱནྟེན ཤིཀྵཱདཱནེཙྪུཀེན སཧིཥྞུནཱ ཙ བྷཝིཏཝྱཾ, ཝིཔཀྵཱཤྩ ཏེན ནམྲཏྭེན ཙེཏིཏཝྱཱཿ།
25 He must be gentle when instructing opponents; for possibly God may give them a change of mind for the recognition of the truth,
ཏཐཱ ཀྲྀཏེ ཡདཱིཤྭརཿ སཏྱམཏསྱ ཛྙཱནཱརྠཾ ཏེབྷྱོ མནཿཔརིཝརྟྟནརཱུཔཾ ཝརཾ དདྱཱཏ྄,
26 and they may come to their senses again, and escape the snare of the devil, as they are restored to life by God to do his will.
ཏརྷི ཏེ ཡེན ཤཡཏཱནེན ནིཛཱབྷིལཱཥསཱདྷནཱཡ དྷྲྀཏཱསྟསྱ ཛཱལཱཏ྄ ཙེཏནཱཾ པྲཱཔྱོདྡྷཱརཾ ལབྡྷུཾ ཤཀྵྱནྟི།
