1 Timothy 2
1 First of all then, I am urging that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered regularly for all men;
Egaa ani akka waammachuun, kadhannaan, namaaf kadhachuu fi galanni maqaa nama hundaatiin dhiʼeeffamu duraan dursee nan gorsa;
2 for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and peaceful life in all godliness an gravity.
nus akka Waaqa sodaachuu hundumaan, ulfinaanis jireenya nagaatii fi tasgabbiin jiraannuuf moototaa fi warra taayitaa qaban hundumaafis akkasuma haa godhamu.
3 For this is good and pleasing in the eyes of our Saviour God,
Kunis gaarii dha; fuula Fayyisaa keenya Waaqaa durattis fudhatamaa dha;
4 whose will it is that all men should be saved, and come into full knowledge of the truth.
Waaqni akka namni hundinuu fayyuu fi akka dhugaa beekuu biras gaʼu barbaada.
5 For God is one; and one is mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus,
Waaqni tokkicha; Waaqaa fi nama gidduu immoo gidduu galeessa tokkotu jira; innis Kiristoos Yesuus isa nama taʼee dha;
6 who gave himself as a ransom in behalf of all, to be attested in due time.
Yesuus kunis isa furii taʼee nama hundaaf dabarsee of kennee dha; kunis yeroo isaatti mirkaneeffameera.
7 It was for this testimony that I myself was appointed a herald and apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), to be a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Sababii kanaaf ani lallabaa fi ergamaa, Namoota Ormaatiif immoo barsiisaa amantii dhugaa taʼee muudameen jira. Ani dhugaa dubbadha; hin sobu.
8 My wish, then, is that in every place the men should offer prayer, lifting up holy hands, free from anger and disputation;
Kanaafuu ani akka dhiironni iddoo hundatti dheekkamsaa fi wal mormii malee harka qulqullaaʼaa ol fudhatanii kadhatan nan barbaada.
9 in like manner also the women. I desire women to clothe themselves in suitable apparel, adorning themselves with reverence and self- restraint; not with hair plaited with gold or pearls, or with expensive clothes,
Akkasumas dubartoonni akka hin malletti mataa dhaʼachuun, warqee yookaan lula naqachuun yookaan uffata gatii guddaa uffachuun utuu hin taʼin akka of qabuu fi naamusaaf taʼutti uffatanii akka of miidhagsan nan barbaada;
10 but (as becomes women proclaiming godliness) with the ornament of good deeds.
isaanis akkuma dubartoota, “Nu Waaqa sodaanna” jedhaniitti waan gaarii haa hojjetan.
11 Let a woman learn quietly in entire submission.
Dubartiin waan hundaan ajajamuun calʼistee haa barattu.
12 I allow no woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man; but let her keep quiet.
Ani akka dubartiin calʼistu malee akka barsiiftu yookaan akka dhiira irratti taayitaa qabaattu hin eeyyamu.
13 It was Adam who was first formed, then Eve.
Sababiin isaas Addaam jalqabatti uumame; Hewaan immoo ergasii uumamte.
14 And it was not Adam who was deceived; but it was the woman who was thoroughly deceived, and who became involved in transgression.
Addaam hin gowwoomfamne; dubartittiin garuu gowwoomfamtee seera cabsite.
15 Notwithstanding she will be saved by the Child-bearing; (so will they all), if they live in faith and love and holiness, with self- restraint.
Taʼus dubartoonni yoo amantiin, jaalalaa fi qulqullinaan, naamusaan jiraatan ijoollee daʼuudhaan ni fayyu.
