1 Thessalonians 5
1 Now as to the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
१बंधूनो, काळ व समय ह्यांविषयी तुम्हास काही लिहिण्याची गरज नाही.
2 You yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.
२कारण तुम्हा स्वतःला पक्के माहीत आहे की जसा रात्री चोर येतो, तसाच प्रभूचा दिवस येतो.
3 While men are saying "Peace and safety," then, like birth-pangs upon a woman with child, destruction will come upon them suddenly. In no wise will they escape.
३“शांती आहे, सुरक्षितता आहे” असे ते म्हणतात, तेव्हा गरोदर स्त्रीला ज्याप्रमाणे अचानक वेदना सुरु होतात त्याप्रमाणे त्यांचा अचानक नाश होईल आणि ते निभावणारच नाहीत.
4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that "the Day" should come upon you like a bandit.
४बंधुनो, त्या दिवसाने चोरासारखा तुम्हास गाठावे असे तुम्ही अंधारात नाही.
5 For you are all sons of light, and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness.
५कारण तुम्ही सगळे प्रकाशाची प्रजा व दिवसाची प्रजा आहात; आपण रात्रीचे व अंधाराचे नाही.
6 So then let us not be sleeping as do the rest, but let us be watchful and self-controlled.
६ह्यावरून आपण इतरांप्रमाणे झोप घेवू नये, तर जागे व सावध रहावे.
7 For those who are sleeping, sleep in the night, and those who are drunken, are drunken in the night.
७झोप घेणारे रात्री झोप घेतात आणि झिंगणारे रात्रीचे झिंगतात.
8 But let us who are of the day be self-controlled, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
८परत जे आपण दिवसाचे आहोत त्या आपण सावध असावे; विश्वास व प्रीती हे उरस्त्राण व तारणाची आशा हे शिरस्राण घालावे.
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to win salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
९कारण आपल्यावर क्रोध व्हावा म्हणून नव्हे तर आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त ह्याच्याद्वारे आपले तारण व्हावे म्हणून देवाने आपल्याला नेमले आहे.
10 He died for us, in order that whether we are keeping vigil in life or sleeping in death we may ever be living together with him.
१०प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त आपल्यासाठी याकरिता मरण पावला की, आपण जरी मागे राहिलो किंवा मरण पावलो तरी आपण त्याच्याबरोबर जिवंत रहावे.
11 So comfort one another, and try to build one another up, as indeed you are doing.
११म्हणून तुम्ही एकमेकांचे सांत्वन करा आणि एकमेकांची उभारणी करा; हे तुम्ही करतही आहात.
12 I entreat you, brothers, to acknowledge those who are toiling among you and are your leaders in the Lord, and give you counsel.
१२आणि बंधूंनो, आम्ही तुम्हास विनंती करतो की, जे तुमच्यांत परिश्रम करतात, जे प्रभूमध्ये तुमच्यांवर आहेत आणि तुम्हास बोध करतात त्यांच्याकडे लक्ष द्या;
13 Esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Live in peace among yourselves.
१३आणि त्यांना त्यांच्या कामावरून प्रीतीने फार थोर माना आणि एकमेकांशी शांतीने रहा.
14 And, brothers, we urge you to admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, lose patience with none.
१४आता बंधूंनो, आम्ही तुम्हास बोध करतो की, जे अव्यवस्थीत आहेत त्यांना तुम्ही इशारा द्या, जे अल्पधीराचे आहेत त्यांना धीर द्या, अशक्त आहेत त्यांना आधार द्या; सर्वांबरोबर सहनशील असा.
15 Take care that none of you ever return evil for evil, but always pursue what is kind to one another and to all.
१५आणि तुम्ही हे पाहा की, कोणी कोणाला वाईटाबद्दल वाईट असे भरून देऊ नये; पण तुमच्यात एकमेकांसाठी व सर्वसाठी जे चांगले आहे त्याच्या सतत मागे लागा.
16 Always be joyful.
१६सदोदित आनंद करा.
17 Pray without ceasing.
१७नित्य प्रार्थना करा.
18 Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
१८प्रत्येक गोष्टींत उपकार माना कारण तुमच्यासंबधी ख्रिस्त येशूमध्ये देवाची इच्छा हीच आहे.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
१९पवित्र आत्म्याला विझवू नका.
20 Do not despise prophesyings.
२०संदेशाचा उपहास करू नका.
21 But try all, holding fast to the good.
२१सर्व गोष्टींची पारख करा. जे चांगले आहे ते मजबूत धरा.
22 Hold aloof from every form of evil.
२२वाईटाच्या प्रत्येक प्रकारापासून दूर रहा.
23 May the God of peace consecrate you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept altogether faultless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
२३आणि स्वतः शांतीचा देव तुम्हास पूर्ण पवित्र करो; आणि आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त ह्याचे येणे होईल तेव्हा तुमचा आत्मा, जीव आणि शरीर पूर्ण निर्दोष राहो.
24 He who calls you is faithful; he will fulfil my prayer.
२४तुम्हास जो बोलवत आहे तो विश्वासू आहे; तो हे करीलच.
25 Brothers, pray for me.
२५बंधूंनो, आमच्यासाठी प्रार्थना करा.
26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
२६सर्व बंधूंना पवित्र प्रीतीने नमस्कार सांगा.
27 I adjure you, in the name of the Lord, to have this letter read to all the brothers.
२७मी तुम्हास प्रभूची आज्ञा म्हणून सांगतो की, हे पत्र सर्व बंधूंना वाचून दाखवा.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
२८आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त याची कृपा तुमच्याबरोबर असो. आमेन.
