Matthew 25
1 Then may the kingdom of heaven be compared to ten virgins, who went out with their lamps to meet the bridegroom.
১তখন স্বর্গরাজ্য এমন দশটি কুমারীর মতো হবে, যারা নিজের নিজের প্রদীপ নিয়ে বরের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করতে বের হল।
2 Of these, five were prudent and five foolish.
২তাদের মধ্যে পাঁচ জন বোকা, আর পাঁচ জন বুদ্ধিমতী ছিল।
3 The foolish took their lamps, but carried no oil with them.
৩কারণ যারা বোকা ছিল, তারা নিজের নিজের প্রদীপ নিল, কিন্তু সঙ্গে তেল নিল না,
4 But the prudent, besides their lamps, carried oil in their vessels.
৪কিন্তু যারা বুদ্ধিমতী তারা তাদের প্রদীপের সঙ্গে পাত্রে তেলও নিল।
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all became drowsy, and fell asleep.
৫আর বড় আসতে দেরি হওয়ায় সবাই ঢুলতে ঢুলতে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ল।
6 And at midnight a cry was raised, The bridegroom is coming, go out and meet him.
৬পরে মাঝ রাতে এই আওয়াজ হল, দেখ, বর! তাঁর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করতে বের হও।
7 Then all the virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
৭তাতে সেই কুমারীরা সবাই উঠল এবং নিজের নিজের প্রদীপ সাজালো।
8 And the foolish said to the prudent, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out.
৮আর বোকা কুমারীরা বুদ্ধিমতিদের বলল, তোমাদের তেল থেকে আমাদেরকে কিছু দাও, কারণ আমাদের প্রদীপ নিভে যাচ্ছে।
9 But the prudent answered, saying, Lest there be not enough for us and you, go rather to them who sell, and buy for yourselves.
৯কিন্তু বুদ্ধিমতীরা বলল, হয়তো তোমাদের ও আমাদের জন্য এই তেলে কুলাবে না, তোমরা বরং বিক্রেতাদের কাছে গিয়ে তোমাদের জন্য তেল কিনে নাও।
10 While they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready, went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
১০তারা তেল কিনতে যাচ্ছে, সেই দিন বর এলো এবং যারা তৈরী ছিল, তারা তাঁর সঙ্গে বিয়ে বাড়িতে প্রবেশ করল,
11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Master, Master, open to us.
১১শেষে অন্য সমস্ত কুমারীরাও এলো এবং বলতে লাগল, প্রভু, প্রভু, আমাদেরকে দরজা খুলে দিন।
12 He answered, Indeed, I say to you, I know you not.
১২কিন্তু তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, আমি তোমাদের চিনি না।
13 Watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour.
১৩অতএব জেগে থাক, কারণ তোমরা সেই দিন বা সেই মুহূর্ত জান না।
14 For the Son of Man is like one who intending to travel, called his servants, and committed to them his stock;
১৪এটা সেই রকম, মনে কর, যে কোন ব্যক্তি বিদেশে যাচ্ছেন, তিনি তাঁর দাসদেরকে ডেকে তাঁর সম্পত্তি তাদের হাতে সমর্পণ করলেন।
15 to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his respective ability, and immediately set out.
১৫তিনি এক জনকে পাঁচ তালন্ত, অন্য জনকে দুই তালন্ত এবং আর এক জনকে এক তালন্ত, যার যেমন যোগ্যতা তাকে সেইভাবে দিলেন, পরে বিদেশে চলে গেলেন।
16 Then he who had received the five talents, went and traded with them, and gained five others.
১৬যে পাঁচ তালন্ত পেয়েছিল, সে তখনই গেল, তা দিয়ে ব্যবসা করল এবং আরও পাঁচ তালন্ত লাভ করল।
17 Likewise he who had received two, gained other two.
১৭যে দুই তালন্ত পেয়েছিল, সেও তেমন করে আরও দুই তালন্ত লাভ করল।
18 Whereas he who had received but one, digged a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
১৮কিন্তু যে এক তালন্ত পেয়েছিল, সে গিয়ে মাটিতে গর্ত খুঁড়ে তার মালিকের টাকা লুকিয়ে রাখল।
19 After a long time, their master returned and reckoned with them.
১৯অনেকদিন পরে সেই দাসদের মালিক এলো এবং তাদের কাছে হিসেব নিলেন।
20 Then he who had received the five talents, came and presented five other talents, saying, Sir, you delivered to me five talents; here they are, and five other talents which I have gained.
২০তখন যে পাঁচ তালন্ত পেয়েছিল, সে এসে আরও পাঁচ তালন্ত এনে বলল, “মালিক, আপনি আমার কাছে পাঁচ তালন্ত দিয়েছিলেন, দেখুন, তা দিয়ে আমি আরও পাঁচ তালন্ত লাভ করেছি।”
21 His master answered, Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful in a small matter, I will give you a more important trust. Partake you of your master's joy.
২১তার মালিক তাকে বললেন, “বেশ, উত্তম ও বিশ্বস্ত দাস, তুমি অল্প বিষয়ে বিশ্বস্ত হয়েছ, আমি তোমাকে অনেক বিষয়ের উপরে নিযুক্ত করব, তুমি তোমার মালিকের আনন্দের সহভাগী হও।”
22 He, also, who had received the two talents, advancing said, Sir, you delivered to me two talents: here they are, and two other talents which I have gained.
২২পরে যে দুই তালন্ত পেয়েছিল, সেও এসে বলল, “মালিক, আপনি আমার কাছে দুই তালন্ত দিয়েছিলেন, দেখুন, তা দিয়ে আমি আরও দুই তালন্ত লাভ করেছি।”
23 His master answered, Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful in a small matter, I will give you a more important trust. Partake you of your master's joy.
২৩তার মালিক তাকে বললেন, “বেশ! উত্তম ও বিশ্বস্ত দাস, তুমি অল্প বিষয়ে বিশ্বস্ত হয়েছ, আমি তোমাকে অনেক বিষয়ের উপরে নিযুক্ত করব, তুমি তোমার মালিকের আনন্দের সহভাগী হও।”
24 Then came he also who had received the talent, and said, Sir, I know that you are a severe man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered;
২৪পরে যে এক তালন্ত পেয়েছিল, সেও এসে বলল, “মালিক, আমি জানতাম, আপনি খুবই কঠিন লোক, যেখানে বীজ রোপণ করেননি, সেখানে ফসল কেটে থাকেন ও যেখানে বীজ ছড়ান নি, সেখানে ফসল কুড়িয়ে থাকেন।”
25 being therefore afraid, I hid your talent under ground; but now I restore you your own.
২৫তাই আমি ভয়ে আপনার তালন্ত মাটির নিচে লুকিয়ে রেখেছিলাম, দেখুন, আপনার যা ছিল তাই আপনি পেলেন।
26 His master answering, said to him, Malignant and slothful servant, did you know that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered?
২৬কিন্তু তার মালিক উত্তর করে তাকে বললেন, “দুষ্টু অলস দাস, তুমি নাকি জানতে, আমি যেখানে বুনিনা, সেখানে কাটি এবং যেখানে ছড়াই না, সেখানে কুড়াই?
27 Should you not then have given my money to the bankers, that, at my return, I might have received it with interest?
২৭তবে মহাজনদের হাতে আমার টাকা রেখে দাওয়া তোমার উচিত ছিল, তা করলে আমি এসে আমার যা তা সুদের সঙ্গে পেতাম।
28 Take from him, therefore, the talent, and give it to him who has ten:
২৮অতএব তোমরা এর কাছ থেকে ঐ তালন্ত নিয়ে নাও এবং যার দশ তালন্ত আছে, তাকে দাও,
29 for to every one that has, more shall be given, and he shall abound; but from him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken.
২৯কারণ যে ব্যক্তির কাছে আছে, তাকে দাওয়া হবে, তাতে তার আরো বেশি হবে, কিন্তু যার নেই, তার যা আছে, তাও তার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে নাওয়া হবে।
30 And thrust out this unprofitable servant into darkness, where shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
৩০আর তোমরা ঐ অনুপযোগী দাসকে বাইরের অন্ধকারে ফেলে দাও, সেই জায়গায় সে কাঁদবে ও দাঁতে দাঁত ঘষবে।”
31 Now when the Son of Man shall come in his glory, accompanied by all the angels, and shall be seated on his glorious throne;
৩১আর যখন মনুষ্যপুত্র সমস্ত দূতদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে নিজের মহিমায় আসবেন, তখন তিনি তাঁর প্রতাপের সিংহাসনে বসবেন।
32 then shall all the nations be assembled before him; and out of them he will separate the good from the bad, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
৩২আর সমস্ত জাতি তাঁর সামনে জমায়েত হবে, পরে তিনি তাদের একজন থেকে অন্য জনকে আলাদা করবেন, যেমন পালরক্ষক ছাগলের পাল থেকে ভেড়া আলাদা করে,
33 The sheep he will set at his right hand, and the goats at his left.
৩৩আর তিনি ভেড়াদের তাঁর ডানদিকে ও ছাগলদেরকে বাঁদিকে রাখবেন।
34 Then will the King say to those at his right hand: Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
৩৪তখন রাজা তাঁর ডানদিকের লোকদেরকে বলবেন, “এস, আমার পিতার আশীর্বাদ ধন্য পাত্রেরা, জগত সৃষ্টির প্রথম থেকে যে রাজ্য তোমাদের জন্য তৈরী করা হয়েছে, তার অধিকারী হও।
35 for I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you lodged me; I was a stranger, and you lodged me;
৩৫কারণ যখন আমি ক্ষুধার্ত ছিলাম, তখন তোমরা আমাকে খাবার দিয়েছিলে, আর যখন আমি পিপাসিত ছিলাম, তখন আমাকে পান করিয়েছিলে, অতিথি হয়েছিলাম, আর আমাকে থাকার আশ্রয় দিয়েছিলে,
36 I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick and you assisted me; I was in prison, and you visited me.
৩৬বস্ত্রহীন হয়েছিলাম, আর আমাকে বস্ত্র পরিয়েছিলে, অসুস্থ হয়েছিলাম, আর আমার যত্ন নিয়েছিলে, জেলখানায় বন্দী ছিলাম, আর আমার কাছে এসেছিলে,”
37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and feed thee; or thirsty, and give thee drink?
৩৭তখন ধার্ম্মিকেরা তাঁকে বলবে, “প্রভু, কবে আপনাকে ক্ষুধার্ত দেখে খেতে দিয়েছিলাম, কিম্বা পিপাসিত দেখে পান করিয়েছিলাম?
38 When did we see thee a stranger, and lodged thee; or naked, and clothed thee?
৩৮কবেই বা আপনাকে অতিথিরূপে আশ্রয় দিয়েছিলাম, কিম্বা বস্ত্রহীন দেখে বস্ত্র পরিয়েছিলাম?
39 When did we see thee sick, or in prison, and visited thee?
৩৯কবেই বা আপনাকে অসুস্থ, কিম্বা জেলখানায় আপনাকে দেখে আপনার কাছে গিয়েছিলাম?”
40 The King will reply to them, Indeed, I say to you, that inasmuch as you have done this to any the least of these my brethren, you have done it to me.
৪০তখন রাজা এর উত্তরে তাদের বলবেন, “আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, আমার এই ভাইদের, এই ক্ষুদ্রতমদের মধ্যে এক জনের প্রতি যখন এই সব করেছিলে, তখন আমারই প্রতি করেছিলে।”
41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his messengers; (aiōnios g166)
৪১পরে তিনি বাঁদিকের লোকদেরকেও বলবেন, তোমরা শাপগ্রস্ত সবাই, আমার কাছ থেকে দূর হও, দিয়াবলের ও তার দূতদের জন্য যে অনন্ত আগুন প্রস্তুত করা হয়েছে, তার মধ্যে যাও। (aiōnios g166)
42 for I was hungry, but you gave me no food; thirsty, but you gave me no drink;
৪২কারণ আমি ক্ষুধার্ত হয়েছিলাম, আর তোমরা আমাকে খাবার দাও নি, পিপাসিত হয়েছিলাম, আর আমাকে পান করাও নি,
43 I was a stranger, but you did not lodge me; naked, but you did not clothe me; sick, and in prison, but you did not visit me.
৪৩অতিথি হয়েছিলাম, আর আমাকে আশ্রয় দাও নি, বস্ত্রহীন ছিলাম, আর আমাকে বস্ত্র পরাও নি, অসুস্থ ও জেলখানায় ছিলাম, আর আমার যত্ন কর নি।
44 Then they also will answer, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not assist thee?
৪৪তখন তারাও এর উত্তরে বলবে, “প্রভু, কবে আপনাকে ক্ষুধার্ত, কি পিপাসিত, কি অতিথি, কি বস্ত্রহীন, কি অসুস্থ, কি জেলখানায় দেখে আপনার সেবা করিনি?”
45 Then he will reply to them, saying, Indeed, I say to you, that inasmuch as you did it not to any the least of these, you did it not to me.
৪৫তখন তিনি তাদের বলবেন, “আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, তোমরা এই ক্ষুদ্রতমদের কোন এক জনের প্রতি যখন এই সব কর নি, তখন আমারই প্রতি কর নি।”
