< Matthew 13 >
1 The same day, Jesus having gone out of the house, sat by the sea-side;
ⲁ̅⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲥⲕⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲓⲟⲙ.
2 but so great a multitude flocked about him, that he went into a bark, and sat down there, while all the people stood on the shore.
ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲙⲙⲏϣ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲁⲗⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓϫⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲁϥ⳿ⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲓⲟⲙ.
3 Then he discoursed to them of many things in parables.
ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲓϯ ⳿ⲉⲥⲓϯ.
4 The sower, said he, went out to sow; and, in sowing, some seeds fell by the way-side, and the birds came and picked them up:
ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡϫⲓⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲉϥⲥⲓϯ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲁⲩϩⲉⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲥⲕⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓϩⲁⲗⲁϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟⲙⲟⲩ.
5 some fell on rocky ground, where they had but little earth: these sprang up the sooner, because the soil had no depth:
ⲉ̅ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲉⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲁ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϣⲱⲕ ⳿ⲛⲕⲁϩⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲣⲱⲧ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲕ ⳿ⲛⲕⲁϩⲓ.
6 but after the sun had beat upon them, they were scorched, and having no root, withered away.
ⲋ̅⳿ⲉⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲕⲁⲩⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.
7 Some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked them.
ⲍ̅ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲉⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲥⲟⲩⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲥⲁ ⳿ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲥⲟⲩⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲟϫϩⲟⲩ.
8 Others fell into good ground, and yielded increase, some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty fold.
ⲏ̅ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲉⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϯⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲣ̅ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲝ̅ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲗ̅.
9 Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.
ⲑ̅ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲁϣϫ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ.
10 Then the disciples addressed him, saying, Why do you speak to them in parables?
ⲓ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ⳿ⲕⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ.
11 He answering, said to them, Because it is your privilege, and not theirs, to know the secrets of the Reign of Heaven.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲩ⳿ⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲧⲟⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲛⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲧⲏⲓⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ.
12 For to him that has, more shall be given, and he shall abound; but from him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲫⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲉⲣϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲟⲗϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ.
13 For this reason I speak to them in parables; because they seeing, see not; and hearing, hear not, nor regard;
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ϯⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲕⲁϯ ⲁⲛ.
14 insomuch that this prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled in them, "You will indeed hear, but will not understand; you will look, but will not perceive.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲏ̇ⲥⲁ⳿ⲏⲁⲥ ⲑⲏⲉⲧϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲁϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲩ.
15 For this people's understanding is stupefied, their ears are deafened, and their eyes they have closed; lest seeing with their eyes, hearing with their ears, and apprehending with their understanding, they should reform, and I should reclaim them."
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲙⲟⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⳿ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ϩⲣⲟϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁϣϫ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲙⲁϣⲑⲁⲙ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⲙⲏ ⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁϣϫ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲕⲁϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩϩⲏ ⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲕⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲧⲟⲩϫⲱⲟⲩ.
16 But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲁϣϫ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ.
17 For, indeed, I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see the things which you see, but have not seen them; and to hear the things which you hear, but have not heard them.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅⳿ⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲛ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲛⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ.
18 Understand you, therefore, the parable of the sower.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲥ ⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉϯⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲓϯ.
19 When one hears the doctrine of the Reign, but considers it not, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which was sown in his heart. This explains what fell by the way-side.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϥⲕⲁϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ϣⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥϩⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲁⲧϥ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲁⲧϥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲥⲕⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ.
20 That which fell on rocky ground, denotes him who, hearing the word, receives it at first with pleasure;
ⲕ̅ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲁⲧϥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲣⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ϥϭⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ.
21 yet, not having it rooted in his mind, retains it but a while; for when trouble or persecution comes, because of the word, instantly he relapses.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲉϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲓⲱⲅⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ϣⲁϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲓⲍⲉⲥⲑⲉ.
22 That which fell among thorns, denotes that hearer in whom worldly cares, and deceitful riches, choke the word, and render it unfruitful. (aiōn )
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲁⲧϥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲥⲟⲩⲣⲓ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲫⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ⳿⳿ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯ⳿ⲁⲡⲁⲧⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲁⲙⲁ⳿ⲟ ϣⲁⲩⲱϫϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁϥⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ. (aiōn )
23 But that which fell into good soil, and bore fruit, some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty fold, denotes him, who not only hears and considers, but obeys the word.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϩⲉⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲕⲁϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁϥϯⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ϣⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲣ̅ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲝ̅ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲗ̅.
24 Another parable he proposed to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a field, in which the proprietor has sown good grain:
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲁϥⲭⲱ ϧⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲕⲉ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲥ⳿ⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲁϥⲥⲉⲧ ⲟⲩ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲟϩⲓ.
25 but while people were asleep, his enemy came, and sowed darnel among the wheat, and went off.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲉϥϫⲁϫⲓ ⲁϥⲥⲓϯ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ.
26 When the blade was up, and putting forth the ear, then appeared also the darnel.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲣⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϯⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲕⲉⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ.
27 And the servants came, and said to their master, Sir, you sowed good grain in your field; whence, then, has it darnel?
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲛⲉⲃⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛ⳪ ⲙⲏ ⲟⲩ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲕⲥⲁⲧϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲕⲓⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲁⲓⲕⲉⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ ⲑⲱⲛ.
28 He answered, An enemy has done this. They said, Will you, then, that we weed them out?
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϫⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲭⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛϣⲉⲛⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲕⲟⲩ.
29 He replied, No, lest in weeding out the darnel, you tear up the wheat.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲙⲏ ⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲕⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϥⲱϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲉⲥⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, first gather the darnel, and make them into bundles for burning; then carry the wheat into my barn.
ⲗ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲭⲁⲩ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲣⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲡⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲱⲥϧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲱⲥϧ ⲉⲓ⳿ⲉϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϭⲁⲓⲱⲥϧ ϫⲉ ⲥⲱⲕⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲟⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲙⲏ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲕϩⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲭⲣⲱⲙ ⲡⲓⲥⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲑⲟⲩⲱⲧϥ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁ⳿ⲁⲡⲟⲑⲏⲕⲏ.
31 Another similitude he proposed to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man planted in his field;
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲁϥⲭⲱ ϧⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲕⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲥ⳿ⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁⲫⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛϣⲉⲗⲧⲁⲙ ⳿ⲁ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϭⲓⲧⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲧⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲟϩⲓ.
32 for though it is the smallest of seeds, when grown, larger than any herb, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air take the shelter in its branches.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲧⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ϫⲣⲱϫ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲁⲛⲁⲓⲁⲓ ⳿ⲥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲟϯ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩ⳿ϣϣⲏⲛ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓϩⲁⲗⲁϯ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲟⲩⲱϩ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲥϫⲁⲗ.
33 Another similitude he gave them: The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman mingled in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲕⲉ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲥ⳿ⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϣⲉⲙⲏⲣ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲁⲟⲩ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ϭⲓⲧϥ ⲁⲥⲭⲟⲡϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲅ̅ ⳿ⲛϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲱⲓⲧ ϣⲁⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϣⲱϯ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ϭⲓϣⲉⲙⲏⲣ.
34 All these similitudes Jesus spoke to the people; for he taught them only by similitudes;
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲁ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲙⲏϣ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲭⲱⲣⲓⲥ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲛⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
35 in this verifying the word of the Prophet, "I will discourse in parables; I will utter things concerning which, all antiquity has been silent."
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧϩⲏ ⲡ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲕⲁⲧⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ.
36 Then Jesus, leaving the multitude, retired to the house, where his disciples accosted him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel in the field.
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲭⲁ ⲛⲓⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲉⲗ ϯⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲛⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲓⲟϩⲓ.
37 Jesus answering, said to them, He who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲩ⳿ⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲓϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ Ⲡ̇ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲪ̇ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲡⲉ.
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the sons of the kingdom; and the darnel are the sons of the evil one;
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲓⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲓ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲉⲛⲧⲏϫ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ.
39 the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the conclusion of this state; and the reapers are the angels. (aiōn )

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hid in a field, which, when a man has discovered, he conceals the discovery, and for joy thereof, sells all that he has, and buys that field.
