Luke 24
1 But the first day of the week, they went by daybreak, with some others, to the tomb, carrying the spices which they had provided,
അവർ ഒരുക്കിയ സുഗന്ധവൎഗ്ഗം എടുത്തു ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം അതികാലത്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി,
2 and found the stone rolled away from the tomb;
കല്ലറയിൽ നിന്നു കല്ലു ഉരുട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടു.
3 and having entered, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
അകത്തു കടന്നാറെ കൎത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കണ്ടില്ല.
4 While they were in perplexity on this account, behold, two men stood by them, in robes of a dazzling brightness.
അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവർ ചഞ്ചലിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മിന്നുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാർ അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
5 The women being affrighted, and fixing their eyes on the ground, these said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead?
ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മുഖം കുനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ജീവനുള്ളവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
6 He is not here, but is risen; remember how he spoke to you, before he left Galilee,
അവൻ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല, ഉയിൎത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു;
7 saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinners, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
മുമ്പെ ഗലീലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ പാപികളായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിക്കയും അവൻ മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിൎത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു ഓൎത്തുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
8 Then they remembered his words.
അവർ അവന്റെ വാക്കു ഓൎത്തു,
9 On their return from the tomb, they reported the whole matter to the eleven, and to all the other disciples.
കല്ലറ വിട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി പതിനൊരുവർ മുതലായ എല്ലാവരോടും ഇതു ഒക്കെയും അറിയിച്ചു.
10 It was Mary the Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women with them, who told these things to the Apostles:
അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ, യോഹന്നാ, യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവർ തന്നേ. അവരോടുകൂടെയുള്ള മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളും അതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
11 but their account appeared to them as idle tales; they gave them no credit.
ഈ വാക്കു അവൎക്കു വെറും കഥപോലെ തോന്നി; അവരെ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
12 Peter, however, arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, saw nothing there but the linen lying. And he went away, musing with astonishment on what had happened.
[എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കല്ലറെക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു കുനിഞ്ഞു നോക്കി, തുണി മാത്രം കണ്ടു, സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നു ആശ്ചൎയ്യപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.]
13 The same day, as two of the disciples were traveling to a village named Emmaus, sixty furlongs from Jerusalem,
അന്നു തന്നേ അവരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ഏഴു നാഴിക ദൂരമുള്ള എമ്മവുസ്സ് എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു പോകയിൽ
14 they conversed together about all these events.
ഈ സംഭവിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒക്കെയും തമ്മിൽ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
15 While they were conversing and reasoning, Jesus himself joined them, and went along with them.
സംസാരിച്ചും തൎക്കിച്ചും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു താനും അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവരോടു ചേൎന്നുനടന്നു.
16 But their eyes were so affected that they did not know him.
അവനെ അറിയാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണു നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
17 And he said to them, What subjects are these about which you confer together? and why are you dejected?
അവൻ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ വഴിനടന്നു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കുന്ന ഈ കാൎയ്യം എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അവർ വാടിയ മുഖത്തോടെ നിന്നു.
18 And one of them, named Cleopas, answered, Are you only a stranger in Jerusalem, and do you not know the things which have happened there so lately?
ക്ലെയൊപ്പാവു എന്നു പേരുള്ളവൻ; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പരദേശികളിൽ നീ മാത്രം ഈ നാളുകളിൽ അവിടെ സംഭവിച്ച കാൎയ്യം അറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
19 What things? said he. They answered, Concerning Jesus, the Nazarene, who was a prophet, powerful in word and deed, before God and all the people;
ഏതു എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ദൈവത്തിന്നും സകലജനത്തിനും മുമ്പാകെ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും ശക്തിയുള്ള പ്രവാചകനായിരുന്ന നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു തന്നേ.
20 how our chief priests and magistrates have delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
നമ്മുടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും അവനെ മരണവിധിക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിച്ചു.
21 As for us, we trusted that it had been he who should have redeemed Israel. Besides all this, to-day, being the third day since these things happened,
ഞങ്ങളോ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനുള്ളവൻ എന്നു ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു; അത്രയുമല്ല, ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു ഇന്നു മൂന്നാം നാൾ ആകുന്നു.
22 some women of our company have astonished us; for having gone early to the tomb,
ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ രാവിലെ കല്ലറെക്കൽ പോയി
23 and not found his body, they came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he is alive.
അവന്റെ ശരീരം കാണാതെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ദൎശനം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു.
24 And some of our men went to the tomb, and found matters exactly as the women had related; but him they saw not.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചിലർ കല്ലറക്കൽ ചെന്നു സ്ത്രീകൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നേ കണ്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.
25 Then he said to them, O thoughtless men, and backward to believe things which have been all predicted by the prophets!
അവൻ അവരോടു: “അയ്യോ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനരേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ,
26 Ought not the Messiah thus to suffer, and so to enter into his glory?
ക്രിസ്തു ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടു തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൽ കടക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,
27 Then beginning with Moses, and proceeding through all the prophets, he explained to them all the passages relating to himself.
മോശെ തുടങ്ങി സകലപ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ നിന്നും എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു അവൎക്കു വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
28 When they came near the village, whither they were traveling, he seemed as intending to go farther;
അവർ പോകുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുന്ന ഭാവം കാണിച്ചു.
29 but they constrained him, saying, Abide with us, for it grows late, and the day is far spent. And he went to abide with them.
അവരോ: ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാൎക്കുക; നേരം വൈകി അസ്തമിപ്പാറായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നിൎബന്ധിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരോടുകൂടെ പാൎപ്പാൻ ചെന്നു.
30 While they were at table together, he took the loaf, and blessed and broke it, and distributed to them.
അവരുമായി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അപ്പം എടുത്തു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി അവൎക്കു കൊടുത്തു.
31 Then their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he disappeared.
ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അവൎക്കു അപ്രത്യക്ഷനായി
32 And they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us on the road, and expounded to us the scriptures?
അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നമ്മോടു സംസാരിച്ചു തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തെളിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
33 Immediately they arose and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the eleven, and the rest of their company assembled,
ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.
34 who said, The Master is actually risen, and has appeared to Simon.
കൎത്താവു വാസ്തവമായി ഉയിൎത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു പറയുന്ന പതിനൊരുവരെയും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെയും കണ്ടു.
35 These also recounted what had happened on the road, and how he was made known to them in breaking the loaf.
വഴിയിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതും അവൻ അപ്പം നുറുക്കുകയിൽ തങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയായ്‌വന്നതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
36 While they discoursed in this manner, he stood in the midst of them, and said, Peace be to you.
ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു: [നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.]
37 But they were amazed and affrighted, imagining that they saw a spirit.
അവർ ഞെട്ടി ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെ കാണുന്നു എന്നു അവൎക്കു തോന്നി.
38 And he said to them, Why are you so alarmed? And wherefore do suspicious arise in your hearts?
അവൻ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ കലങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംശയം പൊങ്ങുന്നതും എന്തു?
39 Behold my hands and my feet; it is I myself; handle me and be convinced; for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see me have.
ഞാൻ തന്നെ ആകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ കയ്യും കാലും നോക്കി അറിവിൻ; എന്നെ തൊട്ടുനോക്കുവിൻ; എന്നിൽ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിന്നു മാംസവും അസ്ഥിയും ഇല്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40 Saying this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
[ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ കയ്യും കാലും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു.]
41 While yet they believed not, for joy and amazement, he said to them, Have you here anything to eat?
അവർ സന്തോഷത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അതിശയിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു: തിന്നുവാൻ വല്ലതും ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
42 And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of a honeycomb,
അവർ ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം വറുത്ത മീനും [തേൻകട്ടയും] അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു.
43 which he took and eat in their presence.
അതു അവൻ വാങ്ങി അവർ കാൺകെ തിന്നു.
44 And he said to them, This is what I told you while I remained with you, that all the things which are written of me in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, must be accomplished.
പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു: ഇതാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും സങ്കീൎത്തനങ്ങളിലും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിവൃത്തിയാകേണം എന്നുള്ളതു തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
45 Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the scriptures;
തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയെ തുറന്നു.
46 and said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved the Messiah to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day;
ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിൎത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും
47 and that reformation and the remission of sins should be proclaimed, in his name, among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും യെരൂശലേമിൽ തുടങ്ങി സകലജാതികളിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കയും വേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
48 Now, you are witnesses of these things;
ഇതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
49 and behold I send you that which my Father has promised; but do you continue in this city, until you be invested with power from above.
എന്റെ പിതാവു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതിനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ അയക്കും. നിങ്ങളോ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു ശക്തി ധരിക്കുവോളം നഗരത്തിൽ പാൎപ്പിൻ എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
50 He then led them out as far as Bethany, and lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
അനന്തരം അവൻ അവരെ ബേഥാന്യയോളം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൈ ഉയൎത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
51 And while he was blessing them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയിൽ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു [സ്വൎഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തു].
52 And having worshiped him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy;
അവർ [അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു] മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു
53 and were constantly in the temple, praising and blessing God.
എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദൈവലായത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പോന്നു.
