John 6
1 Afterward, Jesus crossed the sea of Galilee, also called of Tiberias;
Potom odšel Ježíš za moře Galilejské, jenž jest Tiberiadské.
2 and a great multitude followed him, because they had seen the miraculous cures which he had performed.
A šel za ním zástup veliký; nebo viděli divy jeho, kteréž činil nad nemocnými.
3 And Jesus went up on a mountain; where he sat down with his disciples.
I všel na horu Ježíš, a tam seděl s učedlníky svými.
4 Now the passover, the Jewish festival, was near.
Byla pak blízko velikanoc, svátek Židovský.
5 Jesus, lifting up his eyes, and perceiving that a great multitude was flocking to him, said to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread to feed these people?
Tedy pozdvih očí Ježíš a viděv, že zástup veliký jde k němu, dí k Filipovi: Kde nakoupíme chlebů, aby pojedli tito?
6 (This he said to try him; for he knew himself, what he was to do.)
(Ale to řekl pokoušeje ho; nebo on sám věděl, co by měl učiniti.)
7 Philip answered, Two hundred denarii would not purchase bread enough to afford every one a morsel.
Odpověděl jemu Filip: Za dvě stě peněz chlebů nepostačí jim, aby jeden každý z nich něco maličko vzal.
8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him,
Dí jemu jeden z učedlníků jeho, Ondřej, bratr Šimona Petra:
9 Here is a boy who has five barley loaves, and two small fishes; but what are they among so many?
Jestiť mládenček jeden zde, kterýž má pět chlebů ječných a dvě rybičky. Ale coť jest to mezi tak mnohé?
10 Jesus said, Make the men recline. Now, there was much grass in the place. So they reclined; in number about five thousand.
I řekl Ježíš: Rozkažtež lidu, ať se usadí. A bylo trávy mnoho na tom místě. I posadilo se mužů v počtu okolo pěti tisíců.
11 And Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, distributed them to those who had reclined. He gave them also of the fishes, as much as they would.
Tedy Ježíš vzal ty chleby, a díky učiniv, rozdával učedlníkům, učedlníci pak sedícím; též podobně z těch rybiček, jakž jsou mnoho chtěli.
12 When they had eat sufficiently, he said to his disciples, Gather up the fragments which remain, that nothing be lost.
A když byli nasyceni, řekl učedlníkům svým: Sbeřte ty drobty, kteříž zůstali, ať nezhynou.
13 They, therefore, gathered, and with the fragments which the people had left of the five barley loaves, they filled twelve baskets.
I sebrali a naplnili dvanácte košů drobtů z pěti chlebů ječných, kteříž pozůstali po těch, jenž jedli.
14 When those men had seen the miracle which Jesus had wrought they said, This is certainly the prophet who comes into the world.
Ti pak lidé, uzřevše ten div, kterýž učinil Ježíš, pravili: Tento jest jistě prorok, kterýž měl přijíti na svět.
15 Then Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and carry him off, to make him king, withdrew again, alone, to the mountain.
Tedy Ježíš věda, že by měli přijíti a chytiti jej, aby ho učinili králem, ušel na horu opět sám jediný.
16 In the evening, his disciples went to the sea,
Když pak byl večer, sstoupili učedlníci jeho k moři.
17 and having embarked, were passing by sea to Capernaum. It was now dark; and Jesus had not come to them.
A vstoupivše na lodí, plavili se přes moře do Kafarnaum. A bylo již tma, a nepřišel byl Ježíš k nim.
18 And the water was raised by a tempestuous wind.
Moře pak dutím velikého větru zdvihalo se.
19 When they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they observed Jesus walking on the sea, very near the bark, and were afraid.
A odplavivše se honů jako pětmecítma nebo třidceti, uzřeli Ježíše, an chodí po moři a přibližuje se k lodí. I báli se.
20 But he said to them, It is I, be not afraid.
On pak řekl jim: Jáť jsem, nebojte se.
21 Then they gladly received him into the bark; and the bark was immediately at the place whither they were going.
I vzali ho na lodí ochotně, a hned přiběhla k zemi, do kteréž se plavili.
22 On the next day, the people who were on the seaside, knowing that there had been but one boat there, and that Jesus went not into the boat with his disciples, who went alone,
Nazejtří pak zástup, kterýž byl za mořem, viděv, že jiné lodičky nebylo, než ta jedna, na kterouž byli vstoupili učedlníci jeho, a že Ježíš nebyl všel s učedlníky svými na lodí, ale sami učedlníci jeho byli se plavili,
23 (other boats, however, arrived from Tiberias, nigh the place where they had eat, after the Lord had given thanks; )
(Jiné pak lodí byly připlouly od Tiberiady k tomu místu blízko, kdežto byli jedli chléb, když díky učinil Pán, )
24 knowing, besides, that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, embarked, and went to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
Když tedy uzřel zástup, že Ježíše tu není, ani učedlníků jeho, vstoupili i oni na lodí, a přijeli do Kafarnaum, hledajíce Ježíše.
25 Having found him on the opposite shore, they said to him, Rabbi, when did you come hither?
A nalezše ho za mořem, řekli jemu: Mistře, kdy jsi sem přišel?
26 Jesus answered, Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek me, not because you saw miracles, but because you eat of the loaves, and were satisfied.
Odpověděl jim Ježíš a řekl: Amen, amen pravím vám: Hledáte mne, ne protože jste divy viděli, ale že jste jedli chleby a nasyceni jste.
27 Work not for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures through eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you; for to him the Father, that is, God, has given his attestation. (aiōnios g166)
Pracujte ne o pokrm, kterýž hyne, ale o ten pokrm, kterýž zůstává k životu věčnému, kterýž Syn člověka dá vám. Nebo tohoť jest potvrdil Bůh Otec. (aiōnios g166)
28 They asked him, therefore, What are the works which God requires us to do?
Tedy řekli jemu: Co budeme činiti, abychom dělali dílo Boží?
29 Jesus answered, This is the work which God requires--that you believe on him whom he has sent forth.
Odpověděl Ježíš a řekl jim: Totoť jest to dílo Boží, abyste věřili v toho, kteréhož on poslal.
30 They replied, What miracles, then, do you, that seeing it, we may believe you? What do you perform?
I řekli jemu: Jakéž pak ty znamení činíš, abychom viděli a věřili tobě? Co děláš?
31 Our fathers eat the manna in the desert; as it is written, "He gave them bread of heaven to eat."
Otcové naši jedli mannu na poušti, jakož psáno jest: Chléb s nebe dal jim jísti.
32 Jesus then said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread of heaven: but my Father gives you the true bread of heaven:
Tedy řekl Ježíš: Amen, amen pravím vám: Ne Mojžíš dal vám chléb s nebe, ale Otec můj vám dává ten chléb s nebe pravý.
33 for the bread of God is that which descends from heaven, and gives life to the world.
Nebo chléb Boží ten jest, kterýž sstupuje s nebe a dává život světu.
34 They said, therefore, to him, Master, give us always this bread.
A oni řekli jemu: Pane, dávejž nám chléb ten vždycky.
35 Jesus answered, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me, shall never hunger; and he who believes on me, shall never thirst.
I řekl jim Ježíš: Jáť jsem ten chléb života. Kdož přichází ke mně, nebude nikoli lačněti, a kdož věří ve mne, nebude žízniti nikdy.
36 But, as I told you, though you have seen me, you do not believe.
Ale pověděl jsem vám, anobrž viděli jste mne, a nevěříte.
37 All the Father gives me, will come to me; and him who comes to me, I will not reject.
Všecko, což mi dává Otec, ke mně přijde, a toho, kdož ke mně přijde, nevyvrhu ven.
38 For I descended from heaven to do, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
Nebo jsem sstoupil s nebe, ne abych činil vůli svou, ale vůli toho, jenž mne poslal.
39 Now, this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose none of all he has given me, but raise the whole again at the last day.
Tatoť jest pak vůle toho, kterýž mne poslal, Otcova, abych všecko, což mi dal, neztratil toho, ale vzkřísil to v nejposlednější den.
40 This is the will of him who sent me, that whoever recognizes the Son, and believes on him, should obtain eternal life, and that I should raise him again at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
A tatoť jest vůle toho, kterýž mne poslal, aby každý, kdož vidí Syna a věří v něho, měl život věčný. A jáť jej vzkřísím v den nejposlednější. (aiōnios g166)
41 The Jews then murmured against him, because he said, I am the bread which descended from heaven:
I reptali Židé na něho, že řekl: Já jsem chléb, kterýž jsem s nebe sstoupil.
42 and they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How, then, does he say, I descended from heaven!
A pravili: Zdaliž tento není Ježíš, syn Jozefův, jehož my otce i matku známe? Kterak pak dí tento: S nebe jsem sstoupil?
43 Jesus answered, Murmur not amongst yourselves:
Tedy odpověděl Ježíš a řekl jim: Nerepcete vespolek.
44 no man can come to me, unless the Father, who has sent me, draw him; and him I will raise again at the last day.
Však žádný nemůž přijíti ke mně, jediné leč Otec můj, kterýž mne poslal, přitrhl by jej; a jáť jej vzkřísím v den nejposlednější.
45 It is written in the prophets, "They shall be taught of God." Every one who has heard, and learned from the Father, comes to me.
Psáno jest v Prorocích: A budou všickni učeni od Boha. Protož každý, kdož slyšel od Otce a naučil se, jdeť ke mně.
46 Not that any man, except him who is from God, has seen the Father.
Ne že by kdo viděl Otce, jediné ten, kterýž jest od Boha, tenť jest viděl Otce.
Amen, amen pravím vám: Kdož věří ve mne, máť život věčný. (aiōnios g166)
48 I am the bread of life.
Jáť jsem ten chléb života.
49 Your fathers eat the manna in the desert, and died.
Otcové vaši jedli mannu na poušti, a zemřeli.
50 Behold the bread which descended from heaven, that whosoever eats of it may not die.
Totoť jest chléb ten s nebe sstupující. Kdožť by koli jej jedl, neumřeť.
51 I am the living bread, which descended from heaven. Whosoever eats of this bread, shall live forever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, which I give for the life of the world. (aiōn g165)
Jáť jsem ten chléb živý, jenž jsem s nebe sstoupil. Bude-li kdo jísti ten chléb, živ bude na věky. A chléb, kterýž já dám, tělo mé jest, kteréž já dám za život světa. (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews then debated among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Tedy hádali se Židé vespolek, řkouce: Kterak tento může dáti nám tělo své jísti?
53 Jesus, therefore, said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, you have not life in you.
I řekl jim Ježíš: Amen, amen pravím vám: Nebudete-li jísti těla Syna člověka a píti krve jeho, nemáte života v sobě.
54 He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him again at the last day: (aiōnios g166)
Kdož jí mé tělo a pije mou krev, máť život věčný, a jáť jej vzkřísím v nejposlednější den. (aiōnios g166)
55 for my flesh is truly meat, and my blood is truly drink.
Nebo tělo mé právě jest pokrm, a krev má právě jest nápoj.
56 He who eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, abides in me, and I abide in him.
Kdo jí mé tělo a pije mou krev, ve mně přebývá a já v něm.
57 As the Father lives, who sent me; and I live by the Father; even so he, who feeds on me, shall live by me.
Jakož mne poslal ten živý Otec, a já živ jsem skrze Otce, tak kdož jí mne, i on živ bude skrze mne.
58 This is the bread which descended from heaven. It is not like what your fathers eat, for they died: he that eats this bread, shall live for ever. (aiōn g165)
Totoť jest ten chléb, kterýž s nebe sstoupil. Ne jako otcové vaši jedli mannu, a zemřeli. Kdož jí chléb tento, živť bude na věky. (aiōn g165)
59 This discourse he spoke in the synagogue, teaching in Capernaum.
Toto mluvil Ježíš v škole, uče v Kafarnaum.
60 Many of his disciples having heard it, said, This is hard doctrine; who can understand it?
Tedy mnozí z učedlníků jeho, slyševše to, řekli: Tvrdáť jest toto řeč. Kdo ji může slyšeti?
61 Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at it, said to them, Does this offend you?
Ale věda Ježíš sám v sobě, že by proto reptali učedlníci jeho, řekl jim: To vás uráží?
62 What if you should see the Son of Man reascending thither, where he was before?
Co pak, kdybyste uzřeli Syna člověka, an vstupuje, kdež prve byl?
63 It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing. The words which I speak to you, are spirit and life.
Duch jest, jenž obživuje, těloť nic neprospívá. Slova, kteráž já mluvím vám, Duch a život jsou.
64 But there are some of you who do not believe. (For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who he was that would betray him.)
Ale jsouť někteří z vás, ješto nevěří. Nebo věděl Ježíš od počátku, kdo by byli nevěřící, a kdo by ho měl zraditi.
65 He added, Therefore, I said to you, that no man can come to me, unless it be given him by my Father.
I pravil: Protož jsem vám řekl, že žádný nemůže přijíti ke mně, leč by dáno bylo od Otce mého.
66 From this time, many of his disciples withdrew, and accompanied him no longer.
A z toho mnozí z učedlníků jeho odešli zpět, a nechodili s ním více.
67 Then said Jesus to the twelve, Will you also go away?
Tedy řekl Ježíš ke dvanácti: Zdali i vy chcete odjíti?
68 Simon Peter answered, Master, to whom should we go? You have the words of eternal life: (aiōnios g166)
I odpověděl jemu Šimon Petr: Pane, k komu půjdeme? A ty slova věčného života máš. (aiōnios g166)
69 and we believe, and know that you are the Holy One of God.
A my jsme uvěřili, a poznali, že jsi ty Kristus, Syn Boha živého.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve? yet one of you is a spy.
Odpověděl jim Ježíš: Však jsem já vás dvanácte vyvolil, a jeden z vás ďábel jest.
71 He meant Judas Iscariot, son of Simon; for it was he who was to betray him, though he was one of the twelve.
A to řekl o Jidášovi synu Šimona Iškariotského; nebo ten jej měl zraditi, byv jeden ze dvanácti.
