< John 21 >
1 Afterward, Jesus again appeared to the disciples, at the sea of Tiberias; and in this manner he appeared.
Shure kwaizvozvo Jesu akazviratidzazve kuvadzidzi vake, paGungwa reTibheriasi.
2 Simon Peter and Thomas, that is, Didymus, Nathanael of Cana, in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples of Jesus, being together,
Vakanga vakaungana ipapo vaiva vanaSimoni Petro, Tomasi (ainzi Dhidhimo), Natanieri aibva kuKana yeGarirea, vanakomana vaZebhedhi, pamwe chete navamwe vadzidzi vaviri.
3 Simon Peter said, I am going a-fishing. They answered, We will go with you. Immediately they went, and got aboard a bark, but that night caught nothing.
Petro akati kwavari, “Ndava kuenda kundoredza,” uye ivo vakati, “Nesuwo tichaenda newe.” Vakabuda vakapinda mugwa, asi usiku ihwohwo havana chavakabata.
4 In the morning Jesus stood on the shore; the disciples, however, knew not that it was Jesus.
Mangwanani-ngwanani, Jesu akamira pamahombekombe, asi vadzidzi havana kuziva kuti akanga ari Jesu.
5 Jesus said to them, My children, have you any victuals? They answered, No.
Akadanidzira kwavari akati, “Vana mune hove here?” Vakapindura vakati, “Kwete.”
6 Cast the net, cried he, on the right side of the bark, and you will find. They did so, but were not able to draw it, by reason of the multitude of fishes.
Akati kwavari, “Kandai mambure enyu kurutivi rworudyi rwegwa mugobata.” Vakati vaita izvozvo, vakasagona kukweva mambure nokuda kwokuwanda kwehove.
7 Then that disciple whom Jesus loved, said to Peter, It is the Master. Simon Peter, hearing that it was the Master, girt on his upper garment (which was laid aside) and threw himself into the sea.
Ipapo mudzidzi aidikanwa naJesu akati kuna Petro, “NdiShe!” Simoni Petro paakangonzwa kuti, “NdiShe,” akazvimonera nguo yake yokunze (nokuti akanga aibvisa) akabva asvetukira mumvura.
8 But the other disciples came in the boat, (for they were not farther from land than about two hundred cubits, ) dragging the net, with the fishes.
Vamwe vadzidzi vakatevera vari mugwa, vachikweva mambure akanga azara nehove, nokuti vakanga vasiri kure namahombekombe, asi makubhiti anenge mazana maviri.
9 When they came ashore, they saw a fire burning, and a fish laid on it, and bread.
Vakati vasvika kumahombekombe, vakaona moto wamazimbe uchipfuta une hove pamusoro pawo, uye nechingwa.
10 Jesus said to them, Bring of the fishes which you have now taken.
Jesu akati kwavari, “Uyai nedzimwe hove dzamuchangobva kubata.”
11 Simon Peter went back, and drew the net to land, full of large fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and the net was not rent, notwithstanding the number.
Simoni Petro akakwira mugwa akakwevera mambure kumahombekombe. Akanga azere nehove huru, zana namakumi mashanu nenhatu, asi kunyange zvazvo dzakanga dzakawanda, mambure haana kubvaruka.
12 Jesus said to them, Come and dine. Meantime none of the disciples ventured to ask him, Who are you? knowing that it was the Master.
Jesu akati kwavari, “Uyai mudye.” Hapana kana mudzidzi mumwe chete akabvunza kuti, “Ndimi aniko?” Vakaziva kuti ainge ari Ishe.
13 Jesus drew near, and taking bread and fish, distributed among them.
Jesu akauya, akatora chingwa akavapa, akaita saizvozvo nehovewo.
14 This is the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples, after his resurrection.
Uku kwakava kuzviratidza kwaJesu kuvadzidzi vake kwechitatu shure kwokumuka kwake kubva kuvakafa.
15 When they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me more than these? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.
Vakati vapedza kudya, Jesu akati kuna Simoni Petro, “Simoni mwanakomana waJohani, unondida zvechokwadi kupfuura ava here?” Akati, “Hongu, Ishe, munozviziva kuti ndinokudai.” Jesu akati, “Fudza makwayana angu.”
16 A second time he said, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love m? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. Jesus replied, Tend my sheep.
Jesu akatizve, “Simoni, mwanakomana waJohani unondida zvechokwadi here?” Akapindura akati, “Hongu, Ishe, munoziva kuti ndinokudai.” Jesu akati, “Chengeta makwai angu.”
17 A third time he said, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me? Peter, grieved at his asking this question a third time, answered, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus replied, Feed my sheep.
Akatizve kwaari kechitatu, “Simoni mwanakomana waJohani, unondida here?” Petro akarwadziwa nokuti Jesu akanga amubvunza kechitatu achiti, “Unondida here?” Akati, “Ishe, imi munoziva zvinhu zvose; munoziva kuti ndinokudai.” Jesu akati, “Fudza makwai angu.
18 Most assuredly, I say to you, in your youth you girt yourself, and went whither you would; but in your old age, you shall stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you whither you would not.
Ndinokuudza chokwadi kuti, zvawakanga uchiri muduku waizvipfekedza uye uchienda kwaunoda; asi kana wakura, uchatambanudza maoko ako, uye mumwe zvake achakufukidza agokutungamirira kwausingadi kuenda.”
19 This he spoke, signifying by what death he should glorify God. After these words, he said to him, Follow me.
Jesu akataura izvi achiratidza mafiro aizoita Petro achikudza Mwari. Ipapo akati kwaari, “Nditevere!”
20 And Peter turning about, saw the disciple, whom Jesus loved, following, (the same who, leaning on his breast at the supper, had asked who it was, that would betray him.)
Petro akacheuka akaona mudzidzi uya aidikanwa naJesu achivatevera. (Ndiye uya akanga akasendamira pana Jesu panguva yechirariro uye akanga ati, “Ishe ndianiko achakupandukirai?”)
21 Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, And what, Lord, shall become of this man?
Petro akati achimuona, akabvunza akati, “Ishe, ko, uyuwo?”
22 Jesus answered, If I will that he wait my return, what is that to you? Follow me.
Jesu akapindura akati, “Kana ndichida kuti arambe ari mupenyu kusvikira ndichidzoka, unei nazvo iwe? Unofanira kunditevera iwe.”
23 Hence arose the rumor among the brethren, that that disciple should not die; nevertheless, Jesus said not, that he should not die; but, If I will, that he wait my return, what is that to you?
Nokuda kwaizvozvo, shoko rakapararira pakati pehama kuti mudzidzi uyu haaizofa. Asi Jesu haana kureva izvozvo kuti haaizofa; akangoti, “Kana ndichida hangu kuti arambe ari mupenyu kusvikira ndichidzoka, unei nazvo iwe?”
24 It is this disciple, who attests these things, and wrote this account; and we know that his testimony deserves credit.
Ndiyeyu mudzidzi anopupura zvinhu izvi, uye akazvinyora. Tinoziva kuti kupupura kwake ndokwechokwadi.
25 There were many other things also performed by Jesus, which, were they to be severally related, I imagine, the world itself could not contain the volumes that would be written.
Jesu akaitawo zvimwe zvinhu zvizhinji. Dai zvose zvainyorwa, ndinoti kunyange nyika yose hayaizova nenzvimbo yaikwana mabhuku aizonyorwa.
