James 1
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes who are in the dispersion: Health.
मै याकूब, परमेसवर अर प्रभु यीशु मसीह का दास सूं, मेरी ओड़ तै थम सारया नै मेरा नमस्कार। मै या चिट्ठी इस्राएल के उन यहूदी मसीह बिश्वासियाँ नै लिखूँ सूं, जिनके बाराह गोत्र सारी दुनिया म्ह तित्तर-बितर होकै रहण लागरे सै।
2 My brethren, count it all joy, when you fall into diverse trials;
हे मेरै बिश्वासी भाईयो, जिब थम कई ढाळ की मुसीबतां का सामना करो सो, तो इसनै पूरे आनन्द की बात समझो,
3 knowing that the proof of your faith works out patience.
क्यूँके थम जाणो सों, के थारे बिश्वास कै परखे जाण तै धीरज बढ़ै सै।
4 Let patience, therefore, have a perfect effect, that you may be perfect and complete, deficient in nothing.
हरेक बात म्ह धीरज धरणा सीखों, ताके थम आत्मिकता म्ह पूरे सिध्द हो जाओ, अर थारे म्ह किसे बात की कमी ना रहवै।
5 If any of you be deficient in wisdom, let him ask it of God: who gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not, and it shall be given to him.
पर थारे म्ह तै जै किसे नै बुद्धि की कमी सै, तो परमेसवर तै माँग्गै, जो बिना उल्हाणा दिये, सारया नै बड़ी उदारता तै देवै सै, अर उस ताहीं दी जावैगी।
6 But let him ask in faith, being not at all irresolute: for he who is irresolute, is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
पर वो बिना शंका के बिश्वास तै माँग्गै, अर कुछ शक ना करै, क्यूँके शक करण आळा माणस टिक्या न्ही रहन्दा जो समुन्दर की उस लैहर की तरियां सै जो हवा के चाल्लण तै उच्छळै सै।
7 Now let not that man think, that he shall receive anything from the Lord.
शक करण आळा माणस या बात बिल्कुल ना सोच्चै, कै उसनै प्रभु तै कुछ मिलैगा,
8 A man of two minds, is unstable in all his ways.
वो माणस दोगला सै अर अपणी किसे बात म्ह टिकता कोनी।
9 Moreover, let the brother of humble condition glory in his exaltation,
जो बिश्वासी भाई गरीब सै, उननै खुश होणा चाहिए, क्यूँके परमेसवर उनकी इज्जत करै सै,
10 and the rich in his humiliation; for as a garden flower he shall pass away.--
अर धनवान अपणे ऊँच्चे पद पै घमण्ड ना करै, क्यूँके वो घास कै फूल की ढाळ सूख जावैगा।
11 For the sun rises with a burning heat, and withers the herb, and its flower falls down, and the beauty of its appearance perishes: so also shall the rich man fade in his ways.
सूरज लिकड़दे ए घणा घाम पड़ै सै, अर घास नै सुक्खा देवै सै, अर उसका फूल झड़ जावै सै, अर उसकी खूबसूरती जान्दी रहै सै। इस ढाळ धनवान भी अपणे काम करदे-करदे माट्टी म्ह मिल ज्या जावैगा।
12 Blessed is the man who sustains trial, for becoming an approved person, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them who love him.
धन्य सै वो माणस जो परखे जाण पै खरे उतरै सै, क्यूँके परखे जाणकै बाद ए जीवन का वो मुकुट पावैंगें, जिसका वादा परमेसवर नै उन माणसां तै करया सै, जो परमेसवर तै प्यार करै सै।
13 Let no one who is tempted say, Certainly I am tempted by God: for God is incapable of being tempted by evil things, and he tempts no one.
जिब किसे की परख हो सै, तो वो या ना कहवै के परमेसवर मन्नै परखण लागरया सै, क्यूँके परमेसवर बुरी बात्तां की परख म्ह कोनी पड़ता, अर ना वो किसे की परख आप करै सै।
14 But every one is tempted, when he is drawn away, and enticed by his own lust:
पर हरेक माणस अपणी ए लालसा म्ह पड़कै अर फँसकै परख्या ज्या सै।
15 then lust having conceived, brings forth sin, and sin, being perfected, brings forth death.
जिब बुरी इच्छा भोत घणी बढ़ ज्या सै, तो पाप नै जन्म देवै सै, अर पाप जिब भोत घणा बढ़ जावै सै, तो अनन्त मौत नै जन्म देवै सै।
16 Be not deceived, my beloved brethren;
हे मेरे प्यारे बिश्वासी भाईयो, धोक्खे म्ह ना रहों।
17 every good gift, and every perfect gift, is from above, descended from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, nor shadow of turning.
क्यूँके हरेक आच्छा वरदान अर हरेक उत्तम दान परमेसवर की ओड़ तै ए सै, जो सिध्द सै, जिसनै आसमान की ज्योतियाँ बणाई सै, अर वो इनकी छाया की तरियां कदे बदलता कोनी।
18 Of his own will, he begot us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of fruits of his creatures.
उसनै अपणी ए इच्छा तै, म्हारै ताहीं सच के वचन कै जरिये जन्म दिया, ताके हम उसकी बणाई होई रचना म्ह सब तै खास हो, जिस तरियां किसान खात्तर फसल का पैहला हिस्सा नाज होवै सै।
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
हे मेरे प्यारे बिश्वासी भाईयो, या बात थम जाण ल्यो, हरेक माणस सुणण कै खात्तर तैयार अर बोल्लण म्ह उतावळा ना हो, अर अपणे छो नै काब्बू म्ह करण आळा हो।
20 for the wrath of man works not out the righteousness of God.
क्यूँके माणस जिब छो म्ह हो सै तो वो धार्मिकता के काम न्ही कर सकता, जो परमेसवर उसतै करवाणा चाहवै सै।
21 Wherefore, putting away all filthiness, and overflowing of maliciousness, embrace with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
इस करकै सारे मन की गंदगी अर नफरत नै दूर करकै, परमेसवर के उस वचन नै नम्रता तै मान ल्यो, जो मन म्ह बोया गया सै, अर जो थारे प्राणा का उद्धार कर सकै सै।
22 And be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves by false reasoning.
पर परमेसवर के वचन पै चाल्लण आळे बणो, अर सिर्फ सुणण आळे ए न्ही, जो अपणे-आपनै धोक्खा देवै सै।
23 For if any one be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man who views his natural face in a mirror;
क्यूँके जो कोए परमेसवर के वचन का सुणण आळा हो, अर उसपै चाल्लण आळा ना हो, तो वो उस माणस कै समान सै, जो अपणा मुँह शीशे म्ह देक्खै सै।
24 for he who looks at himself and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of person he was.
इस करकै के वो अपणे-आपनै देखकै चाल्या जावै सै, पर जिब्बे भूल जावै सै, के मै किसा था।
25 But he who looks narrowly into the perfect law of liberty, and perseveres, not becoming a forgetful hearer, but a doer of its work, shall, in so doing, be happy.
पर जो माणस ध्यान तै परमेसवर के सिध्द नियम-कायदा नै पढ़ता रहवै सै, जो हरेक माणसां नै पापां तै आजादी देवै सै, परमेसवर उसनै आशीर्वाद देवैगा, क्यूँके वो सुणकै भूलता कोनी, पर उसाए करै सै।
26 If any one among you think to be religious, who bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, the religion of this person is vain.
जै कोए अपणे-आपनै परमेसवर का भगत समझै, अर अपणी जीभ पै लगाम ना लगावै, पर अपणे मन नै धोक्खा दे, तो उसकी भगति बेकार सै।
27 Pure religion, and undefiled, with God, even the Father, is this: To take care of orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.
म्हारे पिता परमेसवर की नजर म्ह सच्ची अर शुद्ध भगति या सै, के अनाथ्थां अर विधवाया के क्ळेश म्ह उसकी सुधि ले, अर अपणे-आपनै दुनिया तै बेदाग राक्खै।
