< Hebrews 12 >

1 Since, then, we have so great a cloud of witnesses placed before us, laying aside every incumbrance, and the sin which easily entangles us, let us run, with perseverance, the race set before us;
Te dongah mamih khawm ta, laipainah khomai tah mamih aka thing la heyet ana om coeng ta. Hnorhih neh tomban tholhnah te boeih khoe uh. Mamih he thingthuelnah ah n'tawn vanbangla uehnah neh yong uh sih.
2 looking to Jesus, the leader and perfecter of the faith; who, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Tangnah hmapaikung neh hmakhapkung Jesuh te hmaitang uh sih. Anih loh omngaihnah a tawn coeng dongah yahpohnah thinglam te a hnaep tih a ueh phoeiah Pathen kah ngolkhoel bantang ah ngol.
3 Consider him who, from sinners, endured such opposition against himself, lest, becoming discouraged in your minds, you grow weary;
hlangtholh rhoek lamloh amah a pakainah thil a ueh te poek uh. Te daengah ni na hinglu te tawnba neh na ko a bawt pawt eh.
4 you have not yet resisted to blood, struggling against this sin.
Tholhnah aka hnuei rhoek te a thii hil na oel uh hlan.
5 Besides, have you forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, "My son, do not think lightly of the Lord's chastisement, neither faint when you are rebuked by him:
Ka ca rhoek bangla nangmih m'voek tih, 'Ka ca,’ tila thaphohnah te na hnilh uh. Boeipa kah hlinsainah te hnoelrhoeng boeh. Amah loh n'toeltham vaengah yawk boeh.
6 for whom the Lord loves he chastises, and scourges every son whom he receives."
Boeipa loh a lungnah te a toel tih ca la a doe boeih te a boh.
7 If you endure chastisement, God deals with you as his children. For what son is there whom his father does not chastise?
Pathen loh nangmih te ca la n'bawnhlak bangla hlinsainah khaw ueh uh. Ca aka toel pawh napa te unim?
8 But if you be without chastisement, of which all sons are partakers, certainly you are bastards, and not sons.
Tedae tekah hlinsainah na khueh uh pawt atah halhca la boeih om tih ca la na om uh pawh.
9 Farther, we have had fathers of our flesh, who chastised us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of our spirits, and live?
Te phoeiah ngawn tahpa rhoek te mamih pumsa hlinsaikung la n'khueh uh tih n'yahnah uh. Te dongah mueihla kah pa taengah taoe boengai neh taoe hing boel sih a?
10 For they, indeed, during a very few days, chastised us according to their pleasure; but he, for our advantage, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Amih long tah khohnin kolkalh ham a poek uh tarhing ah n'toel uh. Tedae Amah long tah amah kah cimcaihnah te dang sak ham ni mamih n'rhoeikhang sak.
11 Now, no chastisement, indeed, for the present, seems to be matter of joy, but of sorrow. Nevertheless, afterward it returns the peaceful fruit of righteousness to them who are trained by it.
Te dongah hlinsainah a om vaengah ngawn tah omngaihnah pawt tih kothaenah ni tila boeih a poek. Tedae hnukkhueng ah tekah a hlinsai rhangneh duengnah thaihtak te ngaimong la n'thuung.
12 Wherefore, bring to their right position, the arms that hang down, and the weakened knees.
Te dongah kut aka kha neh khuklu aka hlinghlawk te duel uh.
13 And make smooth paths for your feet, that that which is lame, may not be put out of joint, but that it may rather be healed.
Na kho te caehlong a dueng la saii pah. Te daengah ni aka khaem loh mael pawt vetih lat a hoeih eh.
14 Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which, no one shall see the Lord:
A cungkuem taengah rhoepnah, cimnah neh huul uh. Te nen pawt atah Boeipa te hmu mahpawh.
15 carefully observing, lest any one come short of the favor of God; lest some bitter root springing up, trouble you, and by it many be polluted;
Khat khaw Pathen kah lungvatnah lamloh talae pawt ham hiphoel uh. Pakhat khaw olkhaa yung aka poe hang loh tulnoi tih te long te muep m'boi sak boel saeh.
16 lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau; who, for one meal, gave away his birthrights.
Pakhat long khaw hlanghalh neh Esau bangla rhonging boel saeh. Anih long te caak kamat la amah kah caming te a thuung.
17 And you know, that although afterward he wished to inherit the blessing, he was reprobated: for he found no scope for effecting a change, though he earnestly sought it with tears.
Yoethennah a hnawt te a tloihsoi ah pang a ngaih te khaw na ming uh. Te dongah te te mikphi neh tlap cakhaw yutnah hmuen a hmuh moenih.
18 Now you are not come to a tangible mountain, which burned with fire; and to blackness, and to darkness, and to tempest,
Hmaitak hmai, khomu, khohmuep, rhonu tlanthim, olueng olhum neh olthang ol te phathuep ham na paan uh moenih.
19 and to the sound of a trumpet, and to the voice of words, the hearers of which earnestly entreated that a word more might not be addressed to them:
Te kah te aka ya rhoek loh amih taengah olka a thap pawt ham a bih uh.
20 for they could not bear this threat, "Even if a beast touch the mountain, it shall shall be stoned."
Olpaek te a ueh uh pawt dongah suva long pataeng tlang te a ben atah mat a dae.
21 And so terrible was the appearance, that Moses said, "I exceedingly fear and tremble."
Te vaengkah mikhmuh ah mueirhih te om tangloeng tih Moses loh, “Lakueng ngaiha la ka om tih ka thuen,” a ti.
22 But you are come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of messengers,
Tedae Zion tlang, aka hing Pathen kah kho, vaan Jerusalem, puencawn rhoek a thawng a sang a tingtunnah,
23 to the general assembly and congregation of the first-born, who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
vaan ah minghlum tangtae hlangboel camingomthang neh, a cungkuem kah laitloekkung Pathen taengah, rhuemtuet la aka dueng mueihla taengah,
24 and to Jesus the mediator of the new institution, and to the blood of sprinkling, which speaks better things than that of Abel.
paipi thai kah rhikhangkung Jesuh taengah khaw, Abel lakah khaw a then a thui tih a haeh thii te na paan uh.
25 Take care that you refuse not him who speaks: for if they did not escape, who refused him who spoke on earth, much more we shall not escape, who turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
Nangmih taengah aka thui te na hnawt uh pawt ham ngaithuen uh. Amih loh diklai ah a mangthui te a poenghal pawt atah vaan lamkah te mamih loh m'phaelh tak he muep nah ngai ni ta.
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once I shake not the earth only, but also the heavens."
A ol loh diklai a hinghoek vaengah ni ana caeng coeng tih, “Diklai bueng pawt tih vaan khaw vai ka hinghuen pueng ni,” a ti coeng.
27 Now this speech, "YET ONCE," signifies the removing of the things shaken, as of things which were constituted, that the things not shaken may remain.
Te long te a hinghoek rhoek kah thovaelnah a saii ham te rhenten a thuicaih koep coeng. Te daengah ni aka hinghoek pawt rhoek loh a naeh uh eh.
28 Wherefore, we having received a kingdom not shaken, let us have gratitude, by which we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and religious fear.
Te dongah cakrhuet ram n'dang uh tih lungvatnah te khueh uh sih. Tekah nen te Pathen kah kolo la yahyongnah, hinyahnah neh bawk uh sih.
29 For truly our God is a consuming fire.
Mamih kah Pathen tah hmai la rhong taktak coeng.
