< Galatians 2 >

1 Then, fourteen years after, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas; taking Titus with me also.
Guero hamalaur vrtheren buruän, berriz igan nendin Ierusalemera Barnabasequin, eta Tite-ere harturic.
2 And I went up by revelation; and communicated to them the gospel which I proclaimed to the Gentiles; but privately to them who were of reputation; lest, perhaps, I should run, or had run in vain.
Eta igan nendin reuelationez, eta hæy communica niecén Gentilén artean predicatzen dudan Euangelioa, baina particularqui estimatan diradeney, neholere alfer laster aznaguian edo eguin eznuen.
3 However, neither Titus, who was with me, though a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised,
Baina Tite-ere, cein baitzén enequin, Grec bacen-ere, etzedin bortcha circonciditu içatera.
4 even on account of the false brethren secretly introduced; (who came in privily to spy out our liberty, which we have by Jesus Christ, that they might bring us into bondage; )
Anaye falsu Eliçán bere buruz nahastecatuén causaz, cein sar baitzitecen gure libertate Iesus Christean dugunaren espia içatera, gu suiectionetara erekar guençatençát.
5 nor did we give place to them by submission, not even for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.
Eta suiectionez ezquitzaizte susmettitu momentbat-ere, Euangelioco eguiác çuetan iraun leçançát.
6 Besides, from them who were of reputation, I received nothing; (whatever they were formerly, is no matter to me: God respects not a man's appearance. For they who were of reputation, communicated nothing to me.)
Eta eztut deus ikassi cerbait diradela irudi dutenetaric (nolaco noizpait içan diraden, etzait deus hunquitzen: ecen Iaincoac eztu guiçonaren campoco apparentiá hartzen) ecen estimatan diradenéc eztraudaté deus guehiagoric communicatu.
7 But, on the contrary, perceiving that I was intrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, just as Peter was with that of the circumcision;
Baina contrariora, ikussi vkan çutenean ecen Preputioco Euangelioaren predicationea niri eman içan çaitadala, Circoncisionecoa Pierrisi beçala:
8 (for he who wrought effectually in Peter for the apostleship of the circumcision, also wrought effectually in me for the Gentiles):
(Ecen Pierris baithan obratu vkan duenac Circoncisioneco Apostolutassunera, obratu vkan du ni baithan-ere Gentiletara.)
9 even James, and Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, having perceived the favor granted to me, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we, indeed, should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision;
Eta eçagutu çutenean niri eman içan çaitadan gratiá, Iacquesec eta Cephasec eta Ioannesec (habe diradela estimatuéc) lagunçazco escuinac eman drauzquigute niri eta Barnabasi: gu Gentiletarát guendoacençát eta hec Circoncisionecoètarat:
10 requesting only, that we would remember the poor, which very thing I had also been diligent to do.
Solament auisatu gaituzte paubréz orhoit guentecen: eta haren beraren eguitera arthatsu içan naiz.
11 Moreover, when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was to be blamed.
Eta ethorri, içan cenean Pierris Antiochera, bekoquiz resisti nieçon hari, ceren reprehenditzeco baitzén.
12 For, before certain persons came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles; but when they were come, he withdrew, and separated himself, being afraid of them of the circumcision.
Ecén Iacquesganic batzu ethor citecen baino lehen, Gentilequin batean iaten çuen: baina ethorri içan ciradenean, retira eta separa cedin hetaric Circoncisionecoén beldurrez.
13 And the other Jews also dissembled with them, insomuch that even Barnabas was carried away with their dissimulation.
Eta simulationez vsatzen çuten harequin batean berce Iuduec-ere: hala non Barnabas-ere erekarri içan baitzén hayén simulationera.
14 But when I saw that they did not walk uprightly, according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter, before them all--If you, being a Jew, live after the manner of the Gentiles, and not after the manner of the Jews, why do you compel the Gentiles to Judaize?
Baina ikussi vkan nuenean ecen etzabiltzala oin chuchenez, Euangelioco eguiaren araura, erran nieçón Pierrisi gucien aitzinean, Baldin hi Iudu aicelaric Gentil anço vici bahaiz, eta ez Iudu anço, cergatic Gentilac bortchatzen dituc iudaizatzera?
15 We, who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
Gu baicara naturaz Iudu, eta ez Gentiletaric bekatore.
16 knowing that man is not justified by works of law, but only through the faith of Jesus Christ; even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by works of law; for by works of law no flesh shall be justified.
Daquigularic ecen eztela guiçona iustificatzen Legueco obréz, baina Iesus Christen fedeaz: guc-ere Iesus Christ baithan sinhetsi vkan dugu, iustifica guentecençát Christen fedeaz, eta ez Legueco obréz: ceren haraguiric batre ezpaita iustificaturen Legueco obréz,
17 But if seeking to be justified by Christ, even we ourselves are found sinners, is Christ, then, the minister of sin? By no means.
Eta baldin Christez iustificatu nahiz gabiltzalaric, erideiten bagara gueuror-ere bekatore, Christ halacotz bekatuaren ministre da? Guertha eztadila.
18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I constitute myself a transgressor.
Ecen baldin deseguin ditudan gauçác harçara edificatzen baditut, transgressor neure buruä eguiten dut.
19 Besides, I, through law, have died to law, that I might live to God.
Ecen ni Legueaz Legueari hil içan nazayó, Iaincoari vici nequionçat, Christequin batean crucificatu içan naiz.
20 I am crucified together with Christ. Nevertheless, I live; yet not longer I, but Christ lives in me: for the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith which is of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Bada vici naiz, ez guehiagoric ni, baina vici da nitan Christ eta orain haraguian vici naicen vicitzeaz Iaincoaren Semearen fedeaz vici naiz, ceinec onhetsi vkan bainau, eta eman vkan baitu bere buruä enegatic.
21 I do not set aside the favor of God. For if righteousness is through law, then certainly Christ has died in vain.
Eztut abolitzen Iaincoaren gratiá: ecen baldin iustitiá Legueaz bada, beraz Christ mengoa gabe hil içan da.
