Ephesians 2
1 even you who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Și v-a dat viață, vouă care erați morți în fărădelegi și păcate;
2 in which you formerly walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air--of the spirit which now effectually works in the children of disobedience; (aiōn g165)
În care ați umblat odinioară, conform mersului acestei lumi, conform cu prințul puterii văzduhului, a duhului care lucrează acum în copiii neascultării; (aiōn g165)
3 amongst whom we, also, were all formerly conversant in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh, and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as others.
Printre care și noi toți ne-am comportat odinioară în poftele cărnii noastre, împlinind dorințele cărnii și minții; și, prin natură, eram copiii furiei, ca și ceilalți.
4 But God being rich in mercy, through his great love with which he loved us,
Dar Dumnezeu, care este bogat în milă, din cauza dragostei sale mari cu care ne-a iubit,
5 even us, who were dead in trespasses, he has made alive together with Christ; (by favor you are saved; )
Chiar pe când eram morți în păcate, ne-a dat viață împreună cu Cristos (prin har sunteți salvați);
6 and has raised us up together, and has set us down together in heavenly places with Christ Jesus;
Și ne-a înviat împreună și ne-a așezat împreună în locurile cerești în Cristos Isus,
7 that he might show, in the ages to come, the exceeding riches of his favor in his kindness toward us by Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)
Ca în veacurile ce vin să arate nemărginitele bogății ale harului său, în bunătatea lui față de noi, prin Cristos Isus. (aiōn g165)
8 For by favor you are saved through faith; and this salvation not by yourselves; it is the gift of God--
Fiindcă prin har sunteți salvați, prin credință; și aceasta nu din voi înșivă, ci este darul lui Dumnezeu;
9 not by works, that no one may boast.
Nu prin fapte, ca să nu se fălească nimeni.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, for which God before prepared us, that we should walk in them.
Fiindcă noi suntem lucrarea lui, creați în Cristos Isus pentru fapte bune, pe care Dumnezeu le-a rânduit dinainte, ca să umblăm în ele.
11 Wherefore, remember that you, formerly Gentiles in the flesh, (those called the uncircumcision, by them called the circumcision in the flesh, made by hands, )
De aceea, amintiți-vă că voi, fiind odinioară neamuri în carne, care erați numiți necircumcizie de către aceea numită circumcizie în carne, făcută de mâini;
12 were in the world at that time, without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the institutions of promise; having no hope, and without God:
Că în acel timp erați fără Cristos, înstrăinați de cetățenia lui Israel și străini de legămintele promisiunii, neavând speranță și fără Dumnezeu în lume,
13 but now, in Christ Jesus, you were formerly far off, are brought nigh by the blood of Christ.
Dar acum, în Cristos Isus, voi, care odinioară erați departe, sunteți aduși aproape prin sângele lui Cristos.
14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation;
Fiindcă el este pacea noastră, care a făcut din doi unul și a dărâmat zidul din mijloc al despărțirii dintre noi,
15 having abolished, by his flesh, the enmity, (the law of the commandments concerning ordinances, ) that he might make the two into one new man, under himself, making peace:
Abolind în carnea lui dușmănia, legea poruncilor cuprinsă în rânduieli, ca să facă în el însuși din doi un om nou, făcând pace;
16 and might reconcile both to God, in one body, through the cross; having slain the enmity by it.
Și să îi împace pe amândoi cu Dumnezeu într-un singur trup, prin cruce, ucigând, prin ea, dușmănia;
17 And, having come, he brought good news of peace to you, the far off--to us, the nigh:
Și a venit și v-a predicat pace celor de departe și celor de aproape.
18 that, through him, we both have introduction to the Father, by one Spirit.
Fiindcă prin el, amândoi avem acces printr-un singur Duh la Tatăl.
19 Now, then, you are no longer strangers and sojourners; but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God:
De aceea acum nu mai sunteți străini și locuitori temporari, ci sunteți concetățeni cu sfinții și cu cei ai casei lui Dumnezeu,
20 having been built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the foundation corner stone;
Fiind zidiți pe temelia apostolilor și profeților, Isus Cristos însuși fiind piatra unghiulară a temeliei,
21 by which the whole building, being fitly compacted together, rises into a holy temple of the Lord;
În care toată clădirea, bine închegată, crește pentru a fi un templu sfânt în Domnul;
22 in which you, also, are builded together, for a habitation of God by the Spirit.
În care și voi sunteți zidiți împreună, pentru a fi locuință lui Dumnezeu, prin Duhul.
