< 2 Thessalonians 2 >

1 Now, we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together to him,
But we beseech of you, my brethren, as it regards the coming of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and our assemblage with him,
2 that you be not suddenly shaken in mind, nor alarmed, neither by spirit, not by report, nor by letter, as from us, intimating that the day of the Lord is at hand.
that you be not soon moved in your minds, nor perturbed, nor by word, nor by spirit, nor by letter, which (may be) as (if it were) from us, that, Behold, the day of our Lord cometh!
3 Let no one lead you into a mistake by any means; because the apostasy must first appear, and the man of sin, the son of perdition, must be first revealed,
Let no one deceive you by any one of the methods, because unless there shall come first the rebellion, and there be revealed the man of sin, the son of perdition;
4 who opposes and exalts himself against every one called a god, or an object of worship; so that he places himself in the temple of God, openly exhibiting himself, that he is a god.
He who is the adversary, and is exalted over all who is called God and Venerable; so that also in the temple of Aloha as Aloha he will sit, and will make manifest of himself as that he is Aloha.
5 Do you not remember that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
Do you not remember, that, when I was with you, these I told you?
6 And you know what now prevents his being revealed until his proper time.
And now you know what holdeth, that he may be revealed in his time.
7 For already the mystery of iniquity secretly works, only till he who now restrains, be taken out of the way;
For the mystery of iniquity already beginneth to be effective; only if that which now holdeth be taken from the midst,
8 and then shall that lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume by the spirit of his mouth--with the brightness of his coming,
then will be revealed that evil one, whom our Lord Jeshu will consume by the spirit of his mouth, and will abolish by the revelation of his advent.
9 he will, indeed, utterly destroy him, whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, with all the power, and signs, and wonders of falsehood;
For the coming of that (wicked one) is the working of Satana, with all power, and (with) signs and false miracles,
10 and with all the deceit of unrighteousness among the destroyed; because they did not embrace the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
and with all unrighteous deception which is done in them who perish, because they have not received the love of the truth by which they might have been saved.
11 For this cause, God will send them strong delusion, that they may believe a lie;
Wherefore Aloha will send them the working of deception,
12 that all may be condemned who have not believed the truth, but have taken pleasure in iniquity.
that they will believe the lie, and all of them will be judged who have not believed in the truth, but have had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has, from the beginning, chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of spirit, and belief of truth;
But we are bound to give thanks unto Aloha at all time for you, our brethren, beloved in our Lord, because Aloha hath chosen you from the beginning unto salvation, by sanctification of the Spirit, and by the belief of the truth.
14 to which he called you, by our gospel, that you might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For unto these Aloha called you by our preaching, that you should be the glory of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
15 Well, then, brethren, stand firm, and hold fast the traditions which you have been taught, whether by our word or letter.
Wherefore, my brethren, stand fast, and persevere in the precepts which you have been taught, whether by word, or by our epistle.
16 And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who has loved us, and given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through favor, (aiōnios g166)
But our Lord Jeshu Meshiha himself, and Aloha our Father, who hath loved us, and given us everlasting consolation, and a good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)
17 comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
will comfort your hearts, and establish in every word and in every work of good.
