2 Corinthians 9
1 But, indeed, concerning the ministry which is for the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you.
Denn was den Dienst für die Heiligen betrifft, so ist es überflüssig für mich, euch zu schreiben.
2 For I know your willingness: of which I boasted on your behalf, to the Macedonians, that Achaia was prepared since the last year; and your zeal has stirred up the multitude.
Denn ich kenne eure Geneigtheit, deren ich mich eurethalben rühme gegen die Macedonier, daß Achaja bereit gewesen ist seit vorigem Jahre; und der von euch ausgegangene Eifer hat viele [O. die Mehrzahl, die Masse, der Brüder] angereizt.
3 Yet I have sent the brethren, that our boasting concerning you, may not be rendered false in this particular; but that as I said you may be prepared.
Ich habe aber die Brüder gesandt, auf daß nicht unser Rühmen über euch in dieser Beziehung zunichte würde, auf daß ihr, wie ich gesagt habe, bereit seid,
4 Lest, perhaps, if the Macedonians come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not you) should be put to shame by this confidence.
damit nicht etwa, wenn die Macedonier mit mir kommen und euch unbereit finden, wir, daß wir nicht sagen ihr, in dieser Zuversicht zu Schanden würden.
5 Therefore, I thought it necessary to entreat the brethren, that they would go before you, and complete beforehand your formerly announced bounty; that the same might be thus ready as a gift, and not as a thing extorted.
Ich hielt es daher für nötig, die Brüder zu bitten, daß sie zu euch vorauszögen und diesen euren zuvor angekündigten Segen vorher zubereiteten, daß er also bereit sei als Segen, und nicht als Habsucht. [O. als Freigebigkeit, und nicht als etwas Erzwungenes]
6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly, shall reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully, shall reap bountifully.
Dies aber sage ich: Wer sparsam sät, wird auch sparsam ernten, und wer segensreich [O. freigebig; W. mit Segnungen] sät, wird auch segensreich [O. freigebig; W. mit Segnungen] ernten.
7 Every one according as he has purposed in his heart, ought to to give; not with regret, nor by constraint; for God loves a cheerful giver.
Ein jeder, wie er sich in seinem Herzen vorsetzt: nicht mit Verdruß [Eig. aus Betrübnis] oder aus Zwang, denn einen fröhlichen Geber hat Gott lieb.
8 And God is able to make every blessing abound to you; that in everything, always having all sufficiency, you may abound in every good work.
Gott aber ist mächtig, jede Gnade [O. Gabe, od. Wohltat] gegen euch überströmen zu lassen, auf daß ihr in allem, allezeit alle Genüge habend, überströmend seid zu jedem guten Werke;
9 As it is written, "He has dispersed, he has given to the poor: his righteousness remains forever." (aiōn g165)
wie geschrieben steht: "Er hat ausgestreut, er hat den Armen gegeben; seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt in Ewigkeit". [Ps. 112,9] (aiōn g165)
10 Now, may he who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the products of your righteousness.
Der aber Samen darreicht dem Sämann und Brot zur Speise, wird eure Saat darreichen und überströmend machen und die Früchte eurer Gerechtigkeit wachsen lassen,
11 That you may be enriched in everything, for all liberality, which produces, through us, thanksgiving to God.
indem ihr in allem reich geworden seid zu aller Freigebigkeit, welche durch uns Gott Danksagung bewirkt.
12 For the ministry of this public service, not only fill us up completely the wants of the saints; but also abounds in many thanksgivings to God.
Denn die Bedienung dieses Dienstes [Eig. Gottesdienstes] ist nicht nur eine Erfüllung des Mangels der Heiligen, sondern ist auch überströmend durch viele Danksagungen gegen Gott;
13 They, through the proof of the ministry, glorifying God for you avowed subjection to the gospel of Christ; and for the liberality of your contribution for them, and for all;
indem sie durch die Bewährung dieses Dienstes [O. dieser Bedienung; wie v 12] Gott verherrlichen wegen der Unterwürfigkeit eures Bekenntnisses zum [O. hinsichtlich des] Evangelium des Christus und wegen der Freigebigkeit der Mitteilung gegen sie und gegen alle;
14 and for their prayer for you, who ardently love you, on account of the exceeding favor of God bestowed on you.
und in ihrem Flehen für euch, die sich nach euch sehnen [O. indem sie im Flehen für euch sich nach euch sehnen] wegen der überschwenglichen Gnade Gottes an euch.
15 Now, thanks to God for his unspeakable gift.
Gott sei Dank für seine unaussprechliche Gabe!
