< 2 Corinthians 7 >

1 Wherefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all pollution of flesh and spirit; perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Receive us cordially. We have injured no one; we have corrupted no one; we have defrauded no one.
Atĩrĩrĩ, tũhei handũ ngoro-inĩ cianyu. Tũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ tũhĩtĩirie, na tũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ tũthũkĩtie, na gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ tũhinyĩrĩirie.
3 I speak not this to condemn you; for I have said before, that you are in our hearts, to die and live with you.
Ndiroiga ũguo nĩguo ndĩmũtuĩre; nĩnjugĩte rĩngĩ atĩ mũrĩ na handũ thĩinĩ wa ngoro ciitũ, kuona atĩ tũgũtũũra muoyo kana tũkuanĩre na inyuĩ.
4 Great is my freedom of speech to you; great is my boasting concerning you: I am filled with consolation, I exceedingly abound in joy in all our affliction.
Ndĩ na ũũmĩrĩru mũnene ngĩmwarĩria; nĩndĩĩrahaga mũno nĩ ũndũ wanyu. Mathĩĩna-inĩ maitũ mothe, nĩngoragwo nyũmĩrĩirie mũno, na gĩkeno gĩakwa gĩgakĩrĩrĩria.
5 For when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh has no rest, but we were distressed on every side; without were fightings-- within were fears.
Nĩgũkorwo rĩrĩa twakinyire Makedonia, mwĩrĩ ũyũ witũ ndwagĩire na kĩhurũko, no gũthĩĩnio twathĩĩnagio o harĩa hothe twathiiaga; kũu nja kwarĩ na ngũĩ, na ngoro-inĩ ciitũ twarĩ na guoya.
6 Nevertheless, God, who comforts them who are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus--
No Ngai ũrĩa ũhooragĩria arĩa makuĩte ngoro, nĩatũhooreririe nĩ ũndũ wa gũũka gwa Tito,
7 (not, indeed, by his coming only; but more especially by the consolation with which he was comforted by you) --when he told us your earnest desire, your lamentation, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced the more.
na to ũndũ wa gũũka gwake gwiki, no ningĩ nĩ ũndũ wa ũhoorerania ũrĩa mwamũheete. Nĩatũheire ũhoro wa ũrĩa mwendaga kũnyona, na kĩeha kĩnene kĩrĩa mũrĩ nakĩo, o na ũrĩa mwĩtangaga mũno nĩ ũndũ wakwa; nĩ ũndũ ũcio gĩkeno gĩakwa gĩkĩongerereka gũkĩra mbere.
8 Therefore, though I made you sorry by the letter, I do not repent, though I did repent; for I perceive that that letter, though suitable to the occasion, made you sorry.
O na ingĩkorwo nĩndatũmire mũgĩe na kĩeha nĩ ũndũ wa marũa makwa-rĩ, ndikwĩrira. O na gũkorwo kũrĩ hĩndĩ nderirire nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, nguona atĩ marũa makwa nĩmamũiguithirie kĩeha, no nĩ gwa kahinda o kanini,
9 I now rejoice; not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow produced reformation: for you were made to sorrow in a godly manner, that you might be injured by us in nothing.
no rĩu ndĩ na gĩkeno, ti tondũ nĩmwaiguithirio kĩeha, no nĩ tondũ kĩeha kĩanyu nĩgĩatũmire mũhere. Nĩgũkorwo mwagĩire na kĩeha o ta ũrĩa Ngai endaga, na nĩ ũndũ ũcio ithuĩ tũtirĩ ũndũ mũũru o na ũmwe twamwĩkire.
10 For godly sorrow produces a reformation to salvation, never to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Kĩeha kĩrĩa kiumanĩte kũrĩ Ngai kĩrehaga ũhoro wa kũhera kũrĩa gũtũmaga andũ mahonoke, na gũtirĩ wĩriraga gwĩka ũguo, no kĩeha kĩa maũndũ ma thĩ kĩrehaga gĩkuũ.
11 Behold, now, this very thing--your being made sorry with a godly sorrow--what carefulness it wrought in you; yes, what clearing of yourselves; yes, what indignation; yes, what fear; yes, what earnest desire; yes, what zeal; yes, what revenge! Upon the whole, you have showed yourselves to be pure in this matter.
12 And, indeed, though I wrote to you, it was not for his sake who did the wrong, nor for his sake who suffered it; but rather, that our care for you, in the presence of God might be manifested to you.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio, o na gwatuĩka nĩndamwandĩkĩire marũa-rĩ, ndiamaandĩkire nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ ũrĩa wehĩtie, kana nĩ ũndũ wa ũrĩa wahĩtĩirio, no nĩgeetha mũhote kũmenya inyuĩ ene mũrĩ mbere ya Ngai ũrĩa mwĩheanĩte nĩ ũndũ witũ.
13 For this reason, we were comforted in your comfort: yes, we rejoiced the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
Maũndũ maya mothe-rĩ, nĩmo matũmĩte tũũmĩrĩrio. O ũndũ ũmwe na kũũmĩrĩrio gwitũ-rĩ, makĩria nĩtwakenire nĩ ũndũ wa kuona ũrĩa Tito aakenete, tondũ roho wake nĩwekĩrĩtwo hinya nĩ inyuĩ inyuothe.
14 That if I have boasted anything to him concerning you, I am not ashamed: for, as we have spoken all things to you in truth, so, also, our boasting to Titus is verified.
Nĩnderahĩire Tito nĩ ũndũ wanyu, na inyuĩ mũtianjonorire. No o ta ũrĩa maũndũ mothe marĩa twamwĩrire maarĩ ma ma-rĩ, noguo kwĩraha gwitũ nĩ ũndũ wanyu harĩ Tito o nakuo gũtuĩkĩte ũhoro wa ma.
15 And his tender affection is more abundant toward you, while he remembers the obedience of you all, and how you received him with fear and trembling.
Naguo wendo ũrĩa amwendete naguo nĩũkĩrĩrĩirie kũneneha aaririkana ũrĩa inyuothe mwaathĩkire, na ũrĩa mwamwamũkĩrire mũrĩ na gwĩtigĩra na kũinaina.
16 I rejoice that I have confidence in you in everything.
Ndĩ na gĩkeno tondũ rĩu ndĩ na mwĩhoko mũkinyanĩru thĩinĩ wanyu.
