2 Corinthians 4
1 Wherefore, having this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not falter;
इसलिये कि यह सेवकाई हमें परमेश्वर की कृपा से प्राप्त हुई है, हम निराश नहीं होते.
2 but have commanded away the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
हमने लज्जा के गुप्त कामों को त्याग दिया है. न तो हमारे स्वभाव में किसी प्रकार की चतुराई है और न ही हम परमेश्वर के वचन को तोड़ मरोड़ कर प्रस्तुत करते हैं. किंतु सच्चाई को प्रकट करके हम परमेश्वर के सामने स्वयं को हर एक के विवेक के लिए प्रस्तुत करते हैं.
3 If then, indeed, our gospel be vailed, it is vailed among the destroyed;
यदि हमारा ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार ढका हुआ है, तो यह उन्हीं के लिए ढका हुआ है, जो विनाश की ओर जा रहे हैं.
4 among whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might shine into them. (aiōn g165)
इस संसार के ईश्वर ने उन अविश्वासियों की बुद्धि को अंधा कर दिया है कि वे परमेश्वर के प्रतिरूप, मसीह के तेजोमय ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार के प्रकाश को न देख सकें. (aiōn g165)
5 Now, we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants, for Jesus' sake.
हम स्वयं को ऊंचा नहीं करते—हम मसीह येशु को प्रभु तथा स्वयं को मसीह येशु के लिए तुम्हारे दास घोषित करते हैं.
6 For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shined into our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
परमेश्वर, जिन्होंने कहा, “अंधकार में से ज्योति चमके,” वही परमेश्वर हैं, जिन्होंने हमारा हृदय चमका दिया कि हमें मसीह के मुख में चमकते हुए परमेश्वर के प्रताप के ज्ञान का प्रकाश प्रदान करें.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power might be of God, and not of us.
यह बेशकीमती खजाना मिट्टी के पात्रों में इसलिये रखा हुआ है कि यह साफ़ हो जाए कि यह असीम सामर्थ्य हमारी नहीं परंतु परमेश्वर की है.
8 We are pressed on every side, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair;
हम चारों ओर से कष्टों से घिरे रहते हैं, किंतु कुचले नहीं जाते; घबराते तो हैं, किंतु निराश नहीं होते;
9 persecuted, but not utterly forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
सताए तो जाते हैं, किंतु त्यागे नहीं जाते; बहुत कुचले जाते हैं, किंतु नष्ट नहीं होते.
10 At all times carrying about in the body, the putting to death of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.
हम हरदम मसीह येशु की मृत्यु को अपने शरीर में लिए फिरते हैं कि मसीह येशु का जीवन हमारे शरीर में प्रकट हो जाए.
11 For we who live are always exposed to death for the sake of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
इसलिये हम, जो जीवित हैं, हरदम मसीह येशु के लिए मृत्यु को सौंपे जाते हैं कि हमारी शारीरिक देह में मसीह येशु का जीवन प्रकट हो जाए.
12 So that death works in us, but life in you.
इस स्थिति में मृत्यु हममें सक्रिय है और जीवन तुममें.
13 Yet, having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed, therefore I have spoken"; we, also, believe, and therefore speak;
विश्वास के उसी भाव में, जैसा कि पवित्र शास्त्र का लेख है: मैंने विश्वास किया, इसलिये मैं चुप न रहा. हम भी यह सब इसलिये कहते हैं कि हमने भी विश्वास किया है.
14 knowing that he who raised up the Lord Jesus, will raise us up, also, by Jesus, and will present us with you.
यह जानते हुए कि जिन्होंने प्रभु येशु को मरे हुओं में से जीवित किया, वही हमें भी मसीह येशु के साथ जीवित करेंगे तथा तुम्हारे साथ हमें भी अपनी उपस्थिति में ले जाएंगे.
15 For all these things are for your sakes; that the favor which has abounded to many, may, through the thanksgiving of the greater number, redound to the glory of God.
यह सब तुम्हारे हित में है कि अनुग्रह, जो अधिक से अधिक मनुष्यों में व्याप्त होता जा रहा है, परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिए अधिक से अधिक धन्यवाद का कारण बने.
16 Wherefore, we do not faint; but, though, indeed, out outward man is impaired, yet the inward man is renewed, day by day.
इसलिये हम उदास नहीं होते. हमारा बाहरी मनुष्यत्व तो कमजोर होता जा रहा है किंतु भीतरी मनुष्यत्व दिन-प्रतिदिन नया होता जा रहा है.
17 For our momentary light afflictions work out for us an eternal weight of glory, great beyond expression; (aiōnios g166)
हमारा यह छोटा सा, क्षण-भर का कष्ट हमारे लिए ऐसी अनंत और अत्यधिक महिमा को उत्पन्न कर रहा है, जिसकी तुलना नहीं कर सकते (aiōnios g166)
18 while we are aiming, not at things seen, but at things unseen: for the things seen are temporal, but the things unseen are eternal. (aiōnios g166)
क्योंकि हमने अपना ध्यान उस पर केंद्रित नहीं किया, जो दिखाई देता है परंतु उस पर, जो दिखाई नहीं देता है. जो कुछ दिखाई देता है, वह क्षण-भर का है किंतु जो दिखाई नहीं देता वह अनंत काल का. (aiōnios g166)
