1 John 5
1 Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ, has been begotten by God; and every one who loves the begetter, loves also the begotten by him.
௧இயேசுவானவரே கிறிஸ்து என்று விசுவாசிக்கிற எவனும் தேவனால் பிறந்திருக்கிறான்; பிறக்கச்செய்தவரிடம் அன்பு செலுத்துகிற எவனும் அவரால் பிறந்தவனிடமும் அன்பு செலுத்துகிறான்.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
௨நாம் தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புசெலுத்தி அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கடைப்பிடிக்கும்போது, தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளிடத்தில் அன்பு செலுத்துகிறோம் என்று அறிந்துகொள்ளுகிறோம்.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome;
௩தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூறுவது என்பது அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடிப்பதே ஆகும்; அவருடைய கட்டளைகள் பாரமானவைகளும் இல்லை.
4 because, every one that is begotten by God, overcomes the world. And this is the victory which overcomes the world, even our faith.
௪தேவனால் பிறப்பதெல்லாம் உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கும்; நம்முடைய விசுவாசமே உலகத்தை மேற்கொள்ளும் ஜெயம்.
5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
௫இயேசுவானவர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறவனைத்தவிர உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கிறவன் யார்?
6 This is her who came by water and blood, even Jesus the Christ; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood.
௬இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவாகிய இவரே தண்ணீரினாலும் இரத்தத்தினாலும் வந்தவர்; தண்ணீரினாலே மாத்திரமல்ல, தண்ணீரினாலும் இரத்தத்தினாலும் வந்தவர். ஆவியானவர் சத்தியமாக இருப்பதினால், ஆவியானவரே சாட்சிகொடுக்கிறவர்.
7 And it is the Spirit who testified; because the Spirit is the truth.
௭பரலோகத்திலே சாட்சியிடுகிறவர்கள் மூவர், பிதா, வார்த்தை, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் என்பவர்களே, இந்த மூவரும் ஒன்றாக இருக்கிறார்கள்;
8 Indeed, there are three who bear testimony: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one.
௮பூலோகத்திலே சாட்சியிடுகிறவைகள் மூன்று, ஆவி, தண்ணீர், இரத்தம் என்பவைகளே, இம்மூன்றும் ஒருமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater. Now, this is the testimony of God, which he has testified concerning his Son.
௯நாம் மனிதனுடைய சாட்சியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறோம். அதைவிட தேவனுடைய சாட்சி மேன்மையாக இருக்கிறது; தேவன் தமது குமாரனைக்குறித்துக் கொடுத்த சாட்சி இதுவே.
10 (He who believes on the Son of God, has the testimony in himself. He who believes not God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony, which God has testified concerning his Son.)
௧0தேவனுடைய குமாரனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிறவன் அந்தச் சாட்சியைத் தனக்குள்ளே பெற்றிருக்கிறான்; தேவனை விசுவாசிக்காதவனோ, தேவன் தம்முடைய குமாரனைக்குறித்துக் கொடுத்த சாட்சியை விசுவாசிக்காததினால், அவரைப் பொய்யராக்குகிறான்.
11 Now this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
௧௧தேவன் நமக்கு நித்தியஜீவனைத் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார், அந்த ஜீவன் அவருடைய குமாரனில் இருக்கிறதென்பதே அந்தச் சாட்சி ஆகும். (aiōnios g166)
12 He who has the Son, has this life; he who has not the Son of God, has not this life.
௧௨குமாரனை உடையவன் ஜீவனை உடையவன், தேவனுடைய குமாரன் இல்லாதவன் ஜீவன் இல்லாதவன்.
13 These things I have written to you, that you may know that you have eternal life--that you may continue to believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
௧௩உங்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று நீங்கள் அறியவும், தேவகுமாரனுடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் நீங்கள் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கவும், தேவகுமாரனுடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு இவைகளை எழுதியிருக்கிறேன். (aiōnios g166)
14 And this is the confidence which we have with him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hearkens to us.
௧௪நாம் எதையாவது அவருடைய விருப்பத்தின்படி கேட்டால், அவர் நமக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறார் என்பதே அவரைப்பற்றி நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிற நம்பிக்கை.
15 And if we know that he hearkens to us, concerning whatever we ask; we know that we shall obtain the petitions which we have asked from him.
௧௫நாம் எதைக்கேட்டாலும், அவர் நமக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறார் என்று நாம் அறிந்திருந்தோமானால், அவரிடத்தில் நாம் கேட்டவைகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டோமென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
16 If any one see his brother sinning a sin, not to death, let him ask, and he will grant to him life, for those who sin not to death. There is a sin leading to death. I do not say concerning it, that you should ask.
௧௬மரணத்திற்குரியதாக இல்லாத பாவத்தைத் தன் சகோதரன் செய்வதை ஒருவன் பார்த்தால், அவன் ஜெபம் செய்யவேண்டும், அப்பொழுது அவனுக்கு ஜீவனைக் கொடுப்பார்; யாருக்கென்றால், மரணத்திற்குரியதாக இல்லாத பாவத்தைச் செய்தவர்களுக்கே; மரணத்திற்குரியதான பாவமும் உண்டு, அதைக்குறித்து ஜெபம்செய்ய நான் சொல்வதில்லை.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: but there is a sin not to death.
௧௭அநீதி எல்லாம் பாவம்தான்; என்றாலும் மரணத்திற்குரியதாக இல்லாத பாவமும் உண்டு.
18 We know that whoever has been begotten by God, does not sin; but he who is begotten by God, guards himself, and the wicked on does not lay hold on him.
௧௮தேவனால் பிறந்த எவனும் பாவம் செய்யமாட்டான் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; தேவனால் பிறந்தவனை தேவன் தீமையிலிருந்து காக்கிறார், சாத்தான் அவனைத் தொடமாட்டான்.
19 We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies under the wicked one.
௧௯நாம் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறோம் என்றும், உலகம் முழுவதும் சாத்தானுக்குள் இருக்கிறது என்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
20 Moreover, we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, that we might know him that is true; and we are in him that is true--in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and the eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
௨0அன்றியும், நாம் சத்தியமுள்ளவரை அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கு தேவனுடைய குமாரன் வந்து நமக்கு புத்தியைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் என்றும் அறிவோம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து என்னப்பட்ட சத்தியமுள்ளவருக்குள்ளும் இருக்கிறோம்; இவரே மெய்யான தேவனும் நித்தியஜீவனுமாக இருக்கிறார். (aiōnios g166)
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
௨௧பிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் விக்கிரகங்களுக்கு விலகி, உங்களைக் காத்துக்கொள்வீர்களாக. ஆமென்.
