1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, a called Apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, and Sosthenes, the brother,
परमेश्वरको इच्छाद्वारा येशूका प्रेरित हुन बोलाइएका पावल र हाम्रा भाइ सोस्थेनसबाट ।
2 to the congregation of God which is in Corinth, sanctified by Christ Jesus, called saints; with all, in every place, who invoke the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
कोरिन्थमा भएको परमेश्वरको मण्डलीलाई, ख्रीष्ट येशूमा समर्पित गरिएका र पवित्र जनहरू हुनको लागि बोलाइएकाहरूलाई । हामी हरेक ठाउँमा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको नाउँ लिनेहरू सबैलाई पनि लेखिरहेका छौँ, जो तिनीहरू र हाम्रा प्रभु हुनुहुन्छ ।
3 favor and peace be with you from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
हाम्रा परमेश्वर पिता र ख्रीष्ट येशूबाट तिमीहरूलाई अनुग्रह र शान्ति ।
4 I give thanks to my God always in respect of you; on account of the favor of God, which was given to you through Jesus Christ;
ख्रीष्ट येशूले तिमीहरूलाई दिनुभएको परमेश्वरको अनुग्रहको निम्ति म परमेश्वरलाई सधैँ धन्यवाद दिन्छु ।
5 that you were enriched with every gift, by him; even with all speech, and all knowledge,
उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई सारा बोली र ज्ञानमा हर प्रकारले धनी बनाउनुभएको छ ।
6 just as the testimony of Christ was confirmed among you:
ख्रीष्टको विषयमा भएको गवाही सत्य छ भनेर तिमीहरूका माझमा पुष्टि भएको छ,
7 so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the full manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ;
ताकि तिमीहरूले उत्सुकतासाथ हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्ट प्रकट हुने कुराको प्रतीक्षा गर्दा तिमीहरूमा आत्मिक वरदानहरूको अभाव नहोस् ।
8 who will confirm you till the end, without accusation in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
तिमीहरू हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको दिनमा निर्दोष हुन सक भन्ने हेतुले उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई अन्तिमसम्म नै सुदृढ राख्नुहुनेछ ।
9 God is faithful, by whom you have been called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
परमेश्वर विश्वासयोग्य हुनुहुन्छ, जसले तिमीहरूलाई उहाँका पुत्र येशू ख्रीष्ट हाम्रा प्रभुको सङ्गतिमा बोलाउनुभयो ।
10 Now, brethren, I beseech you by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you; but that you be perfectly united in the same mind, and in the same judgment.
अब भाइहरू हो, हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको नाउँद्वारा म तिमीहरूलाई आग्रह गर्छु, कि तिमीहरू सबै सहमत होओ र तिमीहरूका माझमा फाटो नहोस् । म आग्रह गर्छु कि तिमीहरू एकै मनको र एउटै उद्देश्यका साथ एकजुट होओ ।
11 For it has been been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by some of the family of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
किनकि तिमीहरूका माझमा गुटबन्दी छ भन्ने कुरा क्लोएका मानिसहरूले मलाई बताएका छन् ।
12 And I mention this, that each of you says, I, indeed, am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.
मेरो भनाइको अर्थ यही हो कि तिमीहरूमध्ये कसैले “म पावलको हुँ”, कसैले “म अपोल्लोसको हुँ”, कसैले “म केफासको हुँ” र कसैले “म ख्रीष्टको हुँ” भन्छौ ।
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? or were you immersed into the name of Paul?
के ख्रीष्ट बाँडिनुभएको छ र? के पावल तिमीहरूका निम्ति क्रुसमा टाँगिए र? के तिमीहरूले पावलको नाउँमा बप्तिस्मा लियौ र?
14 I give thanks to God that I immersed none of you except Crispus and Gaius;
म परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिन्छु कि मैले क्रिस्पस र गायसबाहेक अरू कसैलाई पनि बप्तिस्मा दिइनँ ।
15 lest any one should say that I immersed into my own name.
तिमीहरूले मेरो नाउँमा बप्तिस्मा लियौ भनी कसैले भन्न सक्दैन ।
16 And I immersed also the family of Stephanus: besides, I know not whether I immersed any other.
(मैले स्तिफनसको परिवारलाई पनि बप्तिस्मा दिएँ । त्योभन्दा बढी अरू व्यक्तिलाई मैले बप्तिस्मा दिएको मलाई सम्झना छैन ।)
17 For Christ did not send me to immerse, but to proclaim the glad tidings; not, however, with wisdom of speech, that the cross of Christ might not be deprived of its efficacy.
किनकि येशूले मलाई बप्तिस्मा दिनलाई होइन, तर प्रचार गर्नलाई पठाउनुभयो । ख्रीष्टको क्रुस शक्तिहीन नबनाइयोस् भनेर उहाँले मलाई मानवीय बुद्धिका वचनहरूद्वारा प्रचार गर्न पठाउनुभएन ।
18 For this doctrine (the doctrine of the cross) is, indeed, foolishness to the destroyed; but to us, who are saved, it is the power of God.
किनकि क्रुसको सन्देश मरिरहेकाहरूका निम्ति मूर्खता हो, तर परमेश्वरले बचाइरहनुभएका मानिसहरूका लागि शक्ति हो ।
19 Therefore, it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will set aside the knowledge of the prudent."
किनकि यस्तो लेखिएको छ, “म बुद्धिमान्हरूको बुद्धि नष्ट गर्नेछु । म चतुरहरूको समझलाई बेकम्मा तुल्याउनेछु ।”
20 Where is the wise man? where the scribe? where the disputers of this world? Has not God shown the wisdom of this world to be folly? (aiōn g165)
बुद्धिमान् कहाँ छ? शिक्षित कहाँ छ? यो संसारको तर्क गर्ने कहाँ छ? के परमेश्वरले संसारको ज्ञानलाई मूर्खतामा परिणत गर्नुभएको छैन र? (aiōn g165)
21 For, when, in the wisdom of God, the world, through wisdom, knew not God, it pleased God, through the foolishness of this proclamation, to save them who believe.
संसारले आफ्नो बुद्धिले परमेश्वरलाई चिनेन । यसको ज्ञानले उहाँलाई चिन्न नसकेको हुनाले विश्वास गर्नेहरूलाई प्रचारको मूर्खताद्वारा बचाउन परमेश्वरलाई उचित लाग्यो ।
22 And though the Jews demand a sign, and the Greeks seek wisdom;
किनकि यहूदीहरू चिन्ह माग्छन्, र ग्रिकहरू ज्ञानको खोजी गर्छन् ।
23 yet we proclaim a crucified Christ: to the Jews, indeed, a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness:
तर हामीचाहिँ क्रुसमा मर्नुभएका येशूको प्रचार गर्छौ, जुन यहूदीहरूका निम्ति ठेस लाग्ने ढुङ्गो हो, र ग्रिकहरूका निम्ति मूर्खता हो ।
24 but to them who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God.
तर तिनीहरू अर्थात् यहूदी र ग्रिक दुवै जसलाई परमेश्वरले बोलाउनुभएको छ, तिनीहरूका माझमा हामी ख्रीष्टलाई परमेश्वरको शक्ति र बुद्धिको रूपमा प्रचार गर्छौं ।
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
किनकि परमेश्वरको मूर्खता मानिसभन्दा बुद्धिमानी छ, र परमेश्वरको दुर्बलता मानिसभन्दा शक्तिशाली छ ।
26 For you see the calling of you, brethren, that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;
भाइहरू हो, आफ्नो बोलावटलाई हेर । तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जना मानिसको स्तरको मापमा बुद्धिमान् थिएनौ । तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जना शक्तिशाली थिएनौ । तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जनाको जन्म महान् थिएन ।
27 but God has chosen the foolish of the world to put the wise to shame; and the weak God has chosen to put the strong to shame;
तर परमेश्वरले बुद्धिमान्हरूलाई शर्ममा पार्नको लागि संसारका मूर्ख कुराहरूलाई छान्नुभयो । संसारमा भएका बलियालाई शर्ममा पार्नको निम्ति परमेश्वरले दुर्बल कुरालाई छान्नुभयो ।
28 the ignoble of the world, and the despised, God has chosen; nay, those that are nothing, to reduce to nothing those that are;
परमेश्वरले संसारमा भएको नीच र तुच्छ ठहरिएको कुरालाई छान्नुभयो । उहाँले नगण्य कुराहरू मूल्यवान् ठहरिऊन् भनेर नगण्य कुराहरूलाई छान्नुभयो ।
29 that not flesh might boast in his presence.
उहाँको अगि कसैले पनि घमण्ड नगरोस् भनेर नै उहाँले यसो गर्नुभयो ।
30 Of him, therefore, you are in Christ Jesus, who is become to us wisdom from God, justification, also, and sanctification, and redemption.
परमेश्वरले जे गर्नुभयो, त्यसैको कारण तिमीहरू अहिले ख्रीष्टमा छौ, जो हाम्रा निम्ति परमेश्वरबाट आउनुभएका बुद्धि बन्नुभयो । उहाँ हाम्रो धार्मिकता, पवित्रता र छुटकारा बन्नुभयो ।
31 So that, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord."
यसैले धर्मशास्त्र भन्दछ, “गर्व गर्नेले परमेश्वरमा नै गर्व गरोस् ।”
