Zechariah 9

1 The burden of a word of YHWH against the land of Hadrach, and Demmeseh—his place of rest: (When to YHWH [is] the eye of man, And of all the tribes of Israel).

Palabra del Señor: El Señor ha venido a la tierra de Hadrac, y Damasco, su lugar de descanso; porque las ciudades de Siria son del Señor,

2 And also Hamath borders thereon, Tyre and Sidon, for—very wise!

Así como Hamat, que colinda, Tiro y Sidón, porque son muy sabios.

3 And Tyre builds a bulwark for herself, And heaps silver as dust, And gold as mire of out-places.

Y Tiro se hizo un lugar fuerte, y reunió plata como el polvo y oro como el barro de las calles.

4 Behold, the Lord dispossesses her, And He has struck her force in the sea, And she is consumed with fire.

Mira, el Señor quitará su herencia, y herirá en el mar su fortaleza; y ella será quemada con fuego.

5 Ashkelon sees and fears, Also Gaza, and she is exceedingly pained, Also Ekron—for her expectation dried up, And a king has perished from Gaza, And Ashkelon does not remain,

Ascalón lo verá con miedo, y Gaza, doblada por el dolor; y Ecrón, porque su esperanza será avergonzada; y el rey será cortado de Gaza, y Ascalón será despoblado.

6 “And a foreigner has dwelt in Ashdod, And I have cut off the excellence of the Philistines.

Y un pueblo mixto vivirá en Asdod, y destruiré el orgullo de los filisteos.

7 And turned aside his blood from his mouth, His abominations from between his teeth, And he has remained, even he, to our God, And he has been as a leader in Judah, And Ekron as a Jebusite.

Y quitaré su sangre de su boca, y sus cosas repugnantes de entre sus dientes; y parte de su pueblo será guardado para nuestro Dios; y él será como una familia en Judá, y Ecrón será como los jebuseos.

8 And I have pitched a camp for My house, Because of the passer through, and of the returner, And an exactor does not pass through against them again, For now, I have seen with My eyes.

Y pondré mis fuerzas en posición alrededor de mi casa, para que nadie vaya ni venga; y ningún opresor volverá a oprimirlos; porque ahora he visto con mis ojos.

9 Rejoice exceedingly, O daughter of Zion, Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem, Behold, your King comes to you, Righteous and having salvation, Afflicted—and riding on a donkey, And on a colt—a son of female donkeys.

Alégrate, hija de Sión; grita de alegría, hija de Jerusalén: mira, tu rey viene a ti; él es justo y Salvador humilde; y sentado en un burro, un pollino hijo de una asna.

10 And I have cut off the chariot from Ephraim, And the horse from Jerusalem, Indeed, the bow of battle has been cut off, And He has spoken peace to nations, And His rule [is] from sea to sea, And from the river to the ends of the earth.

Y él cortará el carruaje de guerra de Efraín, y el caballo de Jerusalén, y el arco de guerra será cortado; y hablará paz a las naciones; y su gobierno será de mar a mar, y desde el río hasta los confines de la tierra.

11 Also You—by the blood of Your covenant, I have sent Your prisoners out of the pit, There is no water in it.

Y en cuanto a ti, por la sangre de tu acuerdo, he enviado sacar a tus prisioneros del hoyo profundo en el que no hay agua.

12 Return to a stronghold, You prisoners of the hope, Even today a second announcer I restore to you.

Y volverán a ti, oh hija de Sión, como prisioneros de esperanza; hoy te digo que te devolveré el doble;

13 For I have trodden for Myself with Judah, I have filled a bow [with] Ephraim, And I have stirred up your sons, O Zion, Against your sons, O Javan, And I have set you as the sword of a hero.”

Porque he hecho a Judá un arco doblado para mi uso, he hecho a Efraín las flechas del arco; Haré a tus hijos, oh Sión, tomar las armas contra tus hijos, oh Grecia, y te haré como la espada de un hombre de guerra.

14 And YHWH appears for them, And His arrow has gone forth as lightning, And Lord YHWH blows with a horn, And He has gone with whirlwinds of the south.

Y se verá al Señor sobre ellos, y su flecha saldrá como la llama del trueno; y el Señor Dios, tocando el cuerno de guerra, irá en los vientos de tormenta del sur.

15 YHWH of Hosts covers them over, And they consumed, and subdued sling-stones, Indeed, they have drunk, They have made a noise as wine, And they have been full as a bowl, As corners of an altar.

El Señor de los ejércitos los cubrirá; y vencerán, aplastando bajo los pies a los hombres armados; tomarán su sangre para beber como vino; estarán llenos como tazón de sacrificio; como los lados del altar.

16 And their God YHWH has saved them in that day, As a flock of His people, For stones of a crown are displaying themselves over His ground.

Y el Señor su Dios será su salvador en ese día, dándoles comida como el rebaño de su pueblo; porque serán como las joyas de una corona que brilla sobre su tierra.

17 For what His goodness! And what His beauty! Grain the young men, And new wine the virgins—make fruitful!

¡Qué bueno es y qué hermoso! el grano alegrará a los jóvenes y el vino nuevo a las doncellas.
