Zechariah 8

1 And there is a word of YHWH of Hosts, saying,

परमप्रभुको यस्तो वचन मकहाँ आयो,

2 “Thus said YHWH of Hosts: I have been zealous for Zion with great zeal, With great heat I have been zealous for her.

“सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: म सियोनको निम्ति साह्रै डाही भएको छु र म त्यसको निम्ति डाही भएर अत्यन्तै रिसाएको छु!

3 Thus said YHWH: I have turned back to Zion, And I have dwelt in the midst of Jerusalem, And Jerusalem has been called The City of Truth, And The Mountain of YHWH of Hosts, The Holy Mountain.

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: म सियोनमा फर्कनेछु र यरूशलेममा वास गर्नेछु, किनकि यरूशलेम सत्यको सहर भनिनेछ र सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुको पर्वतचाहिँ पवित्र पर्वत भनिनेछ!

4 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: Again old men and old women dwell In broad places of Jerusalem, And each his staff in his hand, Because of abundance of days.

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: यरूशलेमका सडकहरूमा फेरि वृद्ध पुरुष र स्‍त्रीहरू हुनेछन्, र हरेक मानिस धेरै वृद्ध भएको हुँदा उसलाई आफ्नो हातमा एउटा लौरो आवश्यक पर्नेछ ।

5 And broad places of the city are full of boys and girls, Playing in its broad places.

त्यस सहरका सडकहरू खेल्ने केटा-केटीहरूले भरिनेछन् ।

6 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: Surely it is wonderful in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, Also in My eyes it is wonderful, A declaration of YHWH of Hosts.

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: ती दिनहरूमा बाँकी रहेका यी मानिसहरूका आँखामा केही कुरा असम्भव देखिएमा, के ती मेरो नजरमा पनि असम्भव हुन्छन् र? - परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ ।

7 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: Behold, I am saving My people from the land of the rising, And from the land of the going in, of the sun,

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: हेर, सुर्योदय हुने र सुर्यास्त हुने भूमिबाट मैले मेरा मानिसहरूलाई बचाउन लागेको छु!

8 And I have brought them in, They have dwelt in the midst of Jerusalem, And they have been to Me for a people, And I am to them for God, In truth and in righteousness.

किनभने म तिनीहरूलाई फर्काएर ल्याउनेछु, र तिनीहरू यरूशलेममा वास गर्नेछन्, अनि तिनीहरू फेरि मेरा मानिसहरू हुनेछन्, र सत्यता र धार्मिकतामा म तिनीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुनेछु ।

9 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: Let your hands be strong, You who are hearing in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets, That in the day the house of YHWH of Hosts has been founded, The temple [is] to be built.

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: मेरो यस घरको जग बसालिँदा अगमवक्ताहरूको ओठबाट निस्केका वचनहरू जसले अहिले सुन्दछन्, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्‍नुहुन्छ: आफ्ना हातहरू बलिया बनाओ, ताकि त्यो मन्दिर निर्माण गर्न सकियोस् ।

10 For before those days there has been no hiring of man, Indeed, a hiring of beasts there is none; And to him who is going out, And to him who is coming in, There is no peace because of the adversary, And I send all men—each against his neighbor.

किनकि ती दिनहरूभन्दा पहिले कोहीले पनि फसल बटुल्दैन थिए, मानिस वा पशुको निम्ति त्यहाँ कुनै मुनाफा थिएन, र आउने र जाने कसैलाई पनि शत्रुहरूबाट शान्ति थिएन । मैले हरेक मानिसलाई त्यसको छिमेकीको विरुद्ध खडा गरेको थिएँ ।

11 And now, not as [in] the former days [am] I to the remnant of this people, A declaration of YHWH of Hosts.

तर म अब पहिलेका दिनमाझैँ हुन्‍न, म यी बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरूसँग हुनेछु - सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ ।

12 Because of the sowing of peace, The vine gives her fruit, And the earth gives her increase, And the heavens give their dew, And I have caused the remnant of this people To inherit all these.

किनभने शान्तिको बीउ छरिनेछ; माथि बढ्दै गरेको दाखले आफ्नो फल दिनेछ र पृथ्वीले आफ्नो उब्जनी: आकाशले शीत दिनेछ, किनभने यी बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरूलाई म यी सबै कुराहरू उत्तराधिकारमा दिनेछु ।

13 And it has come to pass, As you have been a reviling among nations, O house of Judah, and house of Israel, So I save you, and you have been a blessing, Do not fear, let your hands be strong.

ए यहूदा र इस्राएलको घराना, अन्य श्रापित जातिहरूमा तिमीहरू एउटा उदाहरण थियौ । यसैकारण म तिमीहरूलाई बचाउनेछु र तिमीहरू आशिषको कारण हुनेछौ । नडराओ; तिमीहरूका हात बलियो बनाओ!

14 For thus said YHWH of Hosts: As I purposed to do evil to you, When your fathers made Me angry—said YHWH of Hosts—And I did not relent,

किनभने सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूले मलाई रिस उठाउँदा मैले तिनीहरूलाई हानी पुर्‍याउने योजना गरेर तिनीहरूप्रति दया देखाइनँ - परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ,

15 So I have turned back, I have purposed, in these days, To do good with Jerusalem, And with the house of Judah—do not fear!

यी दिनहरूमा पनि म यरूशलेम र यहूदाको घरानालाई भलाइ गर्ने योजना गर्नेछु! नडराओ!

16 These [are] the things that you do: Each speak truth with his neighbor, Judge [with] truth and peaceful judgment in your gates,

तिमीहरूले यी कामहरू गर्नुपर्छ: हरेक मानिसले आफ्नो छिमेकीसँग सत्य बोलोस् । आफ्नो इलाकामा सत्य, न्याय, र शान्तिसँग इन्साफ गर ।

17 And do not devise the evil of his neighbor in your heart, And do not love a false oath, For all these [are] things that I have hated, A declaration of YHWH.”

आफ्नो हृदयमा एक अर्काको विरुद्धमा खराबी गर्ने योजना नबनाओ, र झुटा शपथलाई प्रेम नगर - किनभने यी कुराहरूलाई म घृणा गर्दछु! – परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ ।”

18 And there is a word of YHWH of Hosts to me, saying,

अनि सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुको यस्तो वचन मकहाँ आयो,

19 “Thus said YHWH of Hosts: The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth [months], are to the house of Judah for joy and for rejoicing, and for pleasant appointed times, and the truth and the peace they have loved.

“सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: चौथो, साथौँ, र दशौँ महिनाका उपवासहरू यहूदाका घरानाको निम्ति आनन्द, हर्ष, र खुशीका पर्वहरूका समय हुनेछन्! यसैले सत्य र शान्तिलाई प्रेम गर!

20 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: Yet peoples come, and inhabitants of many cities,

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: विभिन्‍न सहरहरूमा बस्‍ने सबै मानिसहरू फेरि आउनेछन् ।

21 Indeed, inhabitants of one Have gone to another, saying, We go diligently, To appease the face of YHWH, To seek YHWH of Hosts—I go, even I.

एउटा सहरका वासिन्दाहरू अर्को सहरमा जानेछन् र भन्‍नेछन्, ‘हामी तुरुन्तै परमप्रभुको सामु बिन्ती गर्न र सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुको खोजी गर्न जाऔँ! हामीहरू आफैँ पनि जाँदै छौँ ।’

22 Indeed, many peoples have come in, and mighty nations, To seek YHWH of Hosts in Jerusalem, And to appease the face of YHWH.

धेरै मानिसहरू र धेरै जातिहरू यरूशलेममा सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुको खोजी गर्न र उहाँको निगाह प्राप्‍त गर्न आउनेछन्!

23 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: In those days ten men of all languages of the nations take hold, Indeed, they have taken hold on the skirt of a man, a Jew, saying, We go with you, for we heard God [is] with you!”

सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्‍नुहुन्छ: ती दिनहरूमा हरेक भाषा र जातिबाट दश जना मानिसहरूले तिम्रो लबेदाको छेउ समातेर यसो भन्‍नेछन्, ‘हामीलाई तपाईंसँग जान दिनुहोस्, किनभने परमेश्‍वर तपाईंसँग हुनुहुन्छ भन्‍ने हामीले सुनेका छौँ!’”
