Zechariah 7
1 And it comes to pass, in the fourth year of Darius the king, a word of YHWH has been to Zechariah, in the fourth of the ninth month, in Chisleu.
Pripetilo se je v četrtem letu kralja Dareja, da je Gospodova beseda prišla Zahariju na četrti dan devetega meseca, torej v kislévu,
2 And Beth-El sends Sherezer and Regem-Melech, and its men, to appease the face of YHWH,
ko so poslali v Božjo hišo Sarécerja in Regem Meleha in njune može, da molijo pred Gospodom
3 speaking to the priests who [are] at the house of YHWH of Hosts, and to the prophets, saying, “Do I weep in the fifth month—being separated—as I have done these so many years?”
in da govorijo duhovnikom, ki so bili v hiši Gospoda nad bojevniki in prerokom, rekoč: »Ali naj bi jokal v petem mesecu in se zadrževal, kot sem to počel ta mnoga leta?«
4 And there is a word of YHWH of Hosts to me, saying,
Potem je prišla k meni beseda Gospoda nad bojevniki, rekoč:
5 “Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying,
»Govori vsemu ljudstvu dežele in duhovnikom, rekoč: ›Ko ste se postili in žalovali v petem in sedmem mesecu, celo teh sedemdeset let, ali ste se sploh postili meni, celó zame?
6 When you fasted with mourning in the fifth and in the seventh [months]—even these seventy years—did you keep the fast [to] Me? And when you eat, and when you drink, is it not you who are eating, and you who are drinking?
In ko ste jedli in ko ste pili, mar niste jedli zase in pili zase?
7 Are [these] not the words that YHWH proclaimed by the hand of the former prophets, in Jerusalem’s being inhabited, and [in] safety, and its cities around it, and the south and the plain—abiding?”
Mar naj ne bi slišali besed, ki jih je Gospod klical po prejšnjih prerokih, ko je bil Jeruzalem naseljen in v uspevanju in njegova mesta okoli njega, ko so ljudje naseljevali jug in ravnino?‹«
8 And there is a word of YHWH to Zechariah, saying,
Gospodova beseda je prišla Zahariju, rekoč:
9 “Thus spoke YHWH of Hosts, saying, Judge [with] true judgment, And do kindness and mercy with one another.
»Tako govori Gospod nad bojevniki, rekoč: ›Izvajajte resnično sodbo in izkazujte usmiljenje in sočutja vsakdo svojemu bratu,
10 And do not oppress widow, and fatherless, Sojourner, and poor, And you do not devise the calamity of one another in your heart.
in ne stiskajte vdove, niti osirotelega, niti tujca, niti revnega, in naj si nihče izmed vas v svojem srcu ne domišlja zla zoper svojega brata.
11 And they refuse to attend, And they give a stubborn shoulder, And their ears are made heavy against hearing.
Toda zavrnili so, da bi prisluhnili in odmaknili so ramo in si zamašili svoja ušesa, da ne bi slišali.
12 And their heart they have made adamant, Against hearing the Law, and the words, That YHWH of Hosts sent by His Spirit, By the hand of the former prophets, And there is great wrath from YHWH of Hosts.
Da, svoja srca so naredili kakor diamantni kamen, da ne bi slišali postave in besed, ki jih je Gospod nad bojevniki poslal po svojem duhu po prejšnjih prerokih, zato je prišel velik bes od Gospoda nad bojevniki.
13 And it comes to pass, as He called, And they have not listened, So they call, and I do not listen,” said YHWH of Hosts.
Zato se je zgodilo, da kakor je on klical in niso hoteli slišati, tako so klicali in nisem hotel slišati, « govori Gospod nad bojevniki,
14 “And I toss them on all the nations, That they have not known, The land has been desolate behind them, Of any passing by and turning back, And they set a desirable land for a desolation!”
»temveč sem jih z vrtinčastim vetrom razkropil med vse narode, ki jih niso poznali. Tako je bila dežela za njimi zapuščena, da noben človek ni šel skoznjo niti se ni vrnil, kajti prijetno deželo so spremenili v opustošeno.«
