Zechariah 13

1 “In that day there is a fountain opened To the house of David And to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, For sin and for impurity.

“ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ ദാവീദുഗൃഹത്തിന്റെയും ജെറുശലേംനിവാസികളുടെയും പാപത്തിന്റെയും മാലിന്യത്തിന്റെയും പരിഹാരത്തിനായി ഒരു ഉറവ തുറക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

2 And it has come to pass in that day,” A declaration of YHWH of Hosts, “I cut off the names of the idols from the land, And they are not remembered anymore, And also the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness I cause to pass away from the land.

“ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ, വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ പേരുകൾ ഞാൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും, അവ പിന്നെ ഒരിക്കലും ഓർമിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെയും ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും.

3 And it has been, when one prophesies again, That his parents, his father and his mother, Have said to him, You do not live, For you have spoken falsehood in the Name of YHWH, And his father and his mother, his parents, Have pierced him through in his prophesying.

പിന്നെ ആരെങ്കിലും പ്രവചിക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ അവനു ജന്മംനൽകിയ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ അവനോടു പറയും: ‘യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ വ്യാജം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാൽ നീ മരിക്കണം.’ അവൻ പ്രവചിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾതന്നെ അവനെ കുത്തും.

4 And it has come to pass in that day, The prophets are ashamed, each of his vision, in his prophesying, And they do not put on a hairy robe to deceive.

“ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ ഓരോ പ്രവാചകനും തന്റെ പ്രവചനദർശനത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ലജ്ജിക്കും. ചതിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവർ പ്രവാചകന്റെ രോമമുള്ള അങ്കി ധരിക്കുകയുമില്ല.

5 And [one] has said, I am not a prophet, A man—I am a tiller of ground, For ground [is] my possession from my youth.

‘ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകനല്ല, ഒരു കൃഷിക്കാരനത്രേ; എന്റെ യൗവനംമുതൽ ഒരാൾ എന്നെ വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു,’ എന്ന് ഓരോരുത്തരും പറയും.

6 And [one] has said to him, What [are] these wounds in your hands? And he has said, Because I was struck [at] home by my lovers.

ആരെങ്കിലും അവനോട്: ‘നിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ ഏറ്റിരിക്കുന്ന മുറിവുകൾ എന്ത്,’ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചാൽ, ‘എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതരുടെ വീട്ടിൽവെച്ച് എനിക്കേറ്റ മുറിവുകൾതന്നെ’ എന്ന് അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറയും.

7 Sword, awake against My Shepherd, And against a hero—My Fellow,” A declaration of YHWH of Hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, and the flock is scattered, And I have put back My hand on the little ones.

“വാളേ, എന്റെ ഇടയന്റെനേരേയും എന്റെ പ്രിയപുരുഷന്റെനേരേയും ഉണരുക!” എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “ഇടയനെ വെട്ടുക; ആടുകൾ ചിതറിപ്പോകും, ഞാൻ ചെറിയവരുടെനേർക്ക് എന്റെ കൈ തിരിക്കും.”

8 And it has come to pass, In all the land,” a declaration of YHWH, “Two parts in it are cut off—they expire, And the third is left in it.

യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “സർവദേശത്തിലും മൂന്നിൽരണ്ടുഭാഗം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകും; എങ്കിലും അതിൽ മൂന്നിലൊരംശം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കും.

9 And I have brought the third into fire, And refined them like a refining of silver, And have tried them like a trying of gold, It calls in My Name, and I answer it, I have said, It [is] My people, And it says, YHWH [is] my God!”

ഈ മൂന്നിലൊരംശത്തെ ഞാൻ അഗ്നിയിൽക്കൂടി കടത്തും; ഞാൻ അവരെ വെള്ളിപോലെ സ്‌ഫുടംചെയ്യും സ്വർണംപോലെ അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കും. അവർ എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളും; ‘അവർ എന്റെ ജനം,’ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയും ‘യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം’ എന്ന് അവരും പറയും.”
