< Zechariah 10 >

1 They asked of YHWH rain In a time of spring rain, YHWH is making lightnings, And He gives to them rain [in] showers. To each—the herb in the field.
E NOI aku oukou ia Iehova i ka ua i ka manawa ua hope; E hana mai o Iehova i ka uila, A e haawi mai ia lakou i ka ua nui, I kela kanaka i keia kanaka i ka laauikiai o ke kula.
2 Because the teraphim spoke iniquity, And the diviners have seen a falsehood, And dreams of the vanity they speak, [With] vanity they give comfort, Therefore they have journeyed as a flock, They are afflicted, for there is no shepherd.
No ka mea, ua olelo lapuwale na kii, A ua wanana na kaula i ka mea wahahee, A ua hoike mai i na moeuhane hoopunipuni; He mea ole ko lakou hooluolu ana; Nolaila auwana aku la lakou e like me na ohana hipa; Ua popilikia lakou, no ka mea, aohe kahuhipa.
3 “My anger burned against the shepherds, And I lay a charge against the male goats, For YHWH of Hosts has inspected His flock, the house of Judah, And set them as His splendid horse in battle.
Hoaia aku la kuu inaina i na kahuhipa, A e hoopai auanei au i ka poe kao Kane. No ka mea, na Iehova o na kaua e ike mai i kona ohana, i ka ohana a Iuda; A e hoolike ia lakou me kona lio maikai iloko o ke kaua.
4 From him [is] a cornerstone, From him a nail, from him a battle-bow, From him goes forth every exactor together.
Mailoko ae ona ka pohaku kumu kihi, Mailoko ae ona ka makia, Mailoko ae ona ke kakaka kaua; Mailoko pu aku no hoi ona i hele mai ai na mea hookoikoi a pau.
5 And they have been as heroes, Treading in mire of out-places in battle, And they have fought, for YHWH [is] with them, And have put to shame riders of horses.
A e like auanei lakou me na koa, E hehi iho ana i ka nenelu o na alanui iloko o ke kaua: A e hookaua aku lakou, No ka mea, me lakou pu o Iehova, A e hoohokaia ka poe hoohololio.
6 And I have made the house of Judah mighty, And I save the house of Joseph, And I have caused them to dwell, for I have loved them, And they have been as [if] I had not cast them off, For I [am] their God YHWH, And I answer them.
A e hooku paa no au i ka ohana a Iuda, A e hoola au i ka ohana a Iosepa, A e hoihoi hou mai au ia lakou e hoonoho ia lakou, no ka mea, ua aloha au ia lakou; A e like auanei lakou me ka poe a'u i hoohemo ole ai; No ka mea, owau no Iehova o ko lakou Akua, a e hoolohe auanei au ia lakou.
7 And Ephraim has been as a hero, And their heart has rejoiced as wine, And their sons see, and they have rejoiced, Their heart rejoices in YHWH.
A e like ko Eperaima me ke kanaka koa, A e olioli ko lakou naau, e like me ka mea inu waina: E nana aku ka lakou poe keiki, me ka olioli, A e hauoli ko lakou naau ia Iehova.
8 I hiss for them, and I gather them, For I have redeemed them, And they have multiplied as they multiplied.
E pio aku no au ia lakou, a e houluulu au ia lakou, No ka mea, e hoola auanei au ia lakou; A e mahuahua auanei lakou, me ka lakou i mahuahua'i mamua.
9 And I sow them among peoples, And in far-off places they remember Me, And they have lived with their sons, And they have turned back.
E lulu aku hoi au ia lakou iwaena o na lahuikanaka, Aka, e hoomanao mai lakou ia'u ma na aina mamao aku; A e ola lakou me ka lakou poe keiki, a e huli hou mai.
10 And I have brought them back from the land of Egypt, And I gather them from Asshur, And I bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, And [space] is not found for them there.
E alakai hou au ia lakou mai ka aina o Aigupita mai, A e houluulu ia lakou mai Asuria mai, A e alakai au ia lakou i ka aina o Gileada a o Lebanona, Aole hoi e lawa ka aina no lakou.
11 And He has passed over through the sea, And has pressed and struck billows in the sea, And all depths of a flood have been dried up, And the excellence of Asshur has been brought down, And the rod of Egypt turns aside.
12 And I have made them mighty in YHWH, And in His Name they walk up and down,” A declaration of YHWH!
A e hooikaika aku au ia lakou ma o Iehova la, A ma kona inoa lakou e hele ai, wahi a Iehova.
