Titus 2
1 But you—speak what is suitable [according] to the sound teaching.
されど汝は健全なる教に適ふことを語れ。
2 Elders [are] to be temperate, dignified, sober, sound in faith, in the love, in the endurance.
老人には自ら制することと謹嚴と謹愼とを勸め、また信仰と愛と忍耐とに健全ならんことを勸めよ。
3 Aged women, in like manner, in behavior as becomes sacred persons, not false accusers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things,
老いたる女にも同じく、清潔にかなふ行爲をなし、人を謗らず、大酒の奴隷とならず、善き事を教ふる者とならんことを勸めよ。
4 that they may make the young women sober-minded, to be lovers of [their] husbands, lovers of [their] children,
かつ彼 等をして若き女に夫を愛し、子を愛し、
5 sober, pure, keepers of [their own] houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that evil may not be spoken of the word of God.
謹愼と貞操とを守り、家の務をなし、仁慈をもち、己が夫に服はんことを教へしめよ。これ神の言の汚されざらん爲なり。
6 The younger men, in like manner, exhort [them] to be sober-minded.
若き人にも同じく謹愼を勸め、
7 Concerning all things, present yourself [as] a pattern of good works—in the teaching [with] uncorruptedness, dignity,
なんぢ自ら凡ての事につきて善き業の模範を示せ。教をなすには邪曲なきことと謹嚴と、
8 sound discourse [that is] blameless, so that he who is of the contrary may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning you.
責むべき所なき健全なる言とを以てすべし。これ逆ふ者をして我らの惡を言ふに由なく、自ら恥づる所あらしめん爲なり。
9 Servants [are] to be subject to their own masters, to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting,
奴隷には己が主人に服ひ、凡ての事において之を喜ばせ、之に言ひ逆はず、
10 not stealing, but showing all good steadfastness, that the teaching of God our Savior they may adorn in all things.
物を盜まず、反つて全き忠信を顯すべきことを勸めよ。これ凡ての事において我らの救主なる神の教を飾らん爲なり。
11 For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,
凡ての人に救を得さする神の恩惠は既に顯れて、
12 teaching us, that denying the impiety and the worldly desires, we may live soberly, and righteously, and piously in the present age, (aiōn g165)
不 敬虔と世の慾とを棄てて謹愼と正義と敬虔とをもて此の世を過し、 (aiōn g165)
13 waiting for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
幸福なる望、すなはち大なる神、われらの救主イエス・キリストの榮光の顯現を待つべきを我らに教ふ。
14 who gave Himself for us, that He might ransom us from all lawlessness, and might purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
キリストは我等のために己を與へたまへり。是われらを諸般の不法より贖ひ出して、善き業に熱心なる特選の民を己がために潔めんとてなり。
15 Speak these things, and exhort and convict with all authority; let no one despise you!
なんぢ全き權威をもて此 等のことを語り、勸め、また責めよ。なんぢ人に輕んぜらるな。
