< Romans 9 >
1 Truth I say in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience bearing testimony with me in the Holy Spirit,
Ngunabheleketa kweli nkulundana na a Kilishitu na wala nngabha unami, ng'aniyo yangu ya muntima nkulongoywa naka Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo inangong'ondela,
2 that I have great grief and unceasing pain in my heart—
kuti njiinjika kaje na mboteko yangali mpelo muntima gwangu.
3 for I was wishing, I myself, to be accursed from the Christ—for my brothers, my relatives, according to the flesh,
Ikaliji mbaya nne kuloshwa na lekanywa na a Kilishitu, monaga shiyaapwaanje ashaalongo ajangu bha shipinga shangu.
4 who are Israelites, whose [is] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the lawgiving, and the service, and the promises,
Ni Bhaishilaeli bhaagwilwenje na a Nnungu kubha bhana bhabho, gubhapegwilwenje ukonjelo, na miadi, na shalia, na lilanga lya tindibhalila, na malagano ga a Nnungu.
5 whose [are] the fathers, and of whom [is] the Christ, according to the flesh, who is God over all, blessed for all ages. Amen. (aiōn )
Bhanganyabho ni uukulu gwa ashaambuje, ni kubhabhelekwe a Kilishitu shigundu. A Nnungu bhaatagwala indu yowe, bhakuywe pitipiti. Amina. (aiōn )
6 And it is not possible that the word of God has failed; for not all who [are] of Israel are these of Israel;
Nngabha kuti miadi ja a Nnungu jangamalila. Pabha nngabha Bhaishilaeli bhowe bhaagwilwenje na a Nnungu.
7 nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children, but, “in Isaac will a seed be called to you”;
Wala nngabha bhowe bhabhelekwenje kwa a Bhulaimu kuti ni bhana bhabho, ikabhe malinga Majandiko ga Ukonjelo shigalugula, “Bhana bhenu shibhakoposhelanje kwa a Ishaka.”
8 that is, the children of the flesh—these [are] not children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for seed;
Yani nngabha bhabhelekwenjepe ni bhalinginji bhana bha a Nnungu, ikabhe bhabhelekwenje kwa ligongo lya miadi ja a Nnungu, ni bhalinginji bhana bhabho.
9 for the word of promise [is] this: “According to this time I will come, and there will be to Sarah a son.”
Pabha miadi jiyene jikuti nnei, “Malinga malanga gano shimuje, na a Shala shibhakole mwana jwannume.”
10 And not only [so], but also Rebecca, having conceived by one—our father Isaac
Na nngabha nneyo pe, ikabhe nkali na bhalabho a Lebheka, gubhakwete bhammba kubhashileu bhamo, a Ishaka anakulu bhetu.
11 (for they being not yet born, neither having done anything good or evil, that the purpose of God, according to [divine] selection, might remain; not of works, but of Him who is calling),
Ikabheje bhana bhala bhakanabhe bhelekwanga na wala bhakanabhe kombolanga kushimanya sha mmbone eu shanyata, bhai nkupinga luagu lwa bhayene a Nnungu lubhoneshe,
12 it was said to her, “The greater will serve the less”;
nngabha kwa ligongo lya itendi, ikabhe kwa tumbilila kwabho bhayene, a Lebheka gubhabhalanjilwe kuti, jwa nkulu shantumishile jwa nnung'una.
13 according as it has been written: “Jacob I loved, and Esau I hated.”
Malinga Majandiko ga Ukonjelo shigalugula, “Njikumpinga Yakobho, ikabhe Eshau njikunkana.”
14 What, then, will we say? Unrighteousness [is] with God? Let it not be!
Bhai tubhelekete nndi? A Nnungu bhakaakagula aki? Ng'oo!
15 For to Moses He says, “I will do kindness to whom I do kindness, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion”;
Pabha kungai a Nnungu bhaabhalanjile a Musha, “Shinimmonele shiya jungumpinga kummonela shiya, na shininnjangutile jungupinga kunnjangutila.”
16 so then—not of him who is willing, nor of him who is running, but of God who is doing kindness;
Bhai monaga nneyo, nngabha kwa pinga wala kwa tumbila kuka mundu, ikabhe kwa shiya sha a Nnungu.
17 for the Writing says to Pharaoh, “For this very thing I raised you up, that I might show in you My power, and that My Name might be declared in all the land”;
Pabha Majandiko ga Ukonjelo kwa ngani ja a Palao gakuti, “Njikumpa upalume nkupinga kwenu mmwe, nanguye mashili gangu na lina lyangu lishume nshilambolyo.”
18 so then, to whom He wills, He does kindness, and to whom He wills, He hardens.
Bhai monaga nneyo, jubhapinga kummonela shiya, bhanakummonela shiya na jubhapinga kunnonopya ntima, bhanakunnonopya.
19 You will say, then, to me, “Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His counsel?”
Pana shimmuye, “Pakuti bhanakutugamba tubhandu? Gani akombola kuibhilila ibhapinga a Nnungu.”
20 No, but, O man, who are you that are answering again to God? Will the thing formed say to Him who formed [it], Why did you make me thus?
Ikabheje mmwe anamundu, mmwe agani nkwaatauka a Nnungu? Bhuli shindu shipengenywe kukombola kummalanjila jwene ashipengenye, “Kwa nndi kumbanganya nnei?”
21 Does the potter not have authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honor and one to dishonor?
Eu bhuli, nkugumba akaengwa kwa lilongo lyakwe kugumba shoshowe, kugumba shindu shimo sha ishima na shina sha kawaida?
22 And if God, willing to show the wrath and to make known His power, endured, in much long suffering, vessels of wrath fitted for destruction,
Bhai shipali nndi? A Nnungu bhashinkupinga kulangula kutumbala kwabho na mashili gabho, kwa nneyo bhashinkwaapilililanga kaje bhalinginji ndumbililo ya tumbala kwabho, bhapinjikwenje kuangabhanywa.
23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on vessels of kindness, that He before prepared for glory, whom also He called—us—
Numbe bhashinkupinga kulanguya ukonjelo gwabho gwangwinji kwetu uwe, tuli ndumbililo ya shiya shabho, bhatubhishile kuumila bhukala tuposhele ukonjelo gwabho.
24 not only out of Jews, but also out of nations,
Ni uwe bhatushemile, nngabha bha munkumbi gwa Bhayaudipe, ikabhe nkali bhandunji bha ilambo ina.
25 as also in Hosea He says, “I will call what [is] not My people—My people; and her not beloved—Beloved,
Malinga shibhaalugula nshitabhu sha a Osheya kuti, “Bhene bhalinginji nngabha bhandu bhangu Shinaashemanje, ‘Bhandu bhangu!’ Na aliji jwangapingwa na nne Shaashemwe, ‘Apingwa na nne!’
26 and it will be—in the place where it was said to them, You [are] not My people; there they will be called sons of the living God.”
Na shiibhe pene pubhabhalanjilwenje, ‘Mmanganyanji nngabha bhandu bhangu’ Penepo shibhashemwanje, ‘Bhana bha a Nnungu bhakwete gumi’”
27 And Isaiah cries concerning Israel, “If the number of the sons of Israel may be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved;
Numbe a Ishaya ga bha Ishilaeli bhanakweya lilobhe bhalinkuti, “Nkali bhana bha bha Ishilaeli bhashulukanje malinga nng'anji gwa ku bhaali, bhapinga tapulwanga ni bhashokope.
28 for a matter He is finishing, and is cutting short in righteousness, because a matter cut short will the LORD do on the land.”
Pabha Bhakulungwa shibhatende ukumu jabho pashilambolyo jitimilile kwa kaje shangupe.”
29 And according as Isaiah says before, “Except the LORD of Hosts left to us a seed, we had become as Sodom, and we had been made like Gomorrah.”
Numbe malinga a Ishaya shibhalongolele bheleketa kuti, “Kaliji Bhakulungwa bha bhandu bhowe pa shilambolyo bhakanatuleshele bhana, tukaliji malinga bhandunji bha shilambo sha Shodoma tukalingenywe na bhandunji bha shilambo sha Gomola.”
30 What, then, will we say? That nations who are not pursuing righteousness attained to righteousness, and righteousness that [is] of faith,
Bhai tubhelekete nndi? Kuti bhandunji bha ilambo ina bhangaloleyanga kukola aki, bhapatilenje aki kwa ngulupai.
31 and Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at a law of righteousness;
Ikabheje bha Ishilaeli bhaloleyangaga aki kwa shalia, bhangajipatanga.
32 why? Because—not by faith, but as by works of law; for they stumbled at the stone of stumbling,
Kwa nndi? Pabha bhangakagulilanga kwa ngulupai, ikabhe kwa kamulila shalia ja a Musha, kwa nneyo gubhaikubhelenje nniganga lya kubhala lila.
33 according as it has been written: “Behold, I place in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense; and everyone who is believing thereon will not be ashamed.”
Malinga shigalugula Majandiko ga Ukonjelo kuti, “Nnole ngunabhika ku Shayuni liganga lya kwiikubhala, Liganga likulu lya gwiya bhandu. Ikabheje jojowe shaabhakulupalile akatokomala.”
