Romans 8
1 There is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit;
Así que ahora, ninguna condenación hay para los que están en Cristo Jesús, los que no andan conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.
2 for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus set me free from the law of sin and of death;
Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.
3 for what the Law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh,
Porque lo que era imposible a la ley, en cuanto era débil por la carne, Dios enviando a su Hijo en semejanza de la carne del pecado, y por pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne;
4 that the righteousness of the Law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Para que la justicia de la ley fuese cumplida en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.
5 For those who are according to the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; and those according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit;
Porque los que son según la carne, piensan en las cosas que son de la carne; mas los que son según el Espíritu, en las cosas que son del Espíritu.
6 for the mind of the flesh [is] death, and the mind of the Spirit—life and peace;
Porque el ánimo carnal es muerte; mas el ánimo espiritual, vida y paz;
7 because the mind of the flesh [is] enmity to God, for to the Law of God it does not subject itself,
Por cuanto el ánimo carnal es enemistad contra Dios; porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, ni tan tampoco puede.
8 for neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
Así que, los que son según la carne, no pueden agradar a Dios.
9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you; and if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ—this one is not His;
Mas vosotros no sois según la carne, sino según el Espíritu: si es que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros. Y si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de él.
10 and if Christ [is] in you, the body, indeed, [is] dead because of sin, and the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness,
Empero si Cristo es en vosotros, el cuerpo a la verdad está muerto a causa del pecado; mas el Espíritu vive a causa de la justicia.
11 and if the Spirit of Him who raised up Jesus out of the dead dwells in you, He who raised up the Christ out of the dead will also quicken your dying bodies, through His Spirit dwelling in you.
Y si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó de los muertos a Jesús, mora en vosotros, el que levantó a Cristo de los muertos, vivificará también vuestros cuerpos mortales por su Espíritu que mora en vosotros.
12 So, then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh;
Así que, hermanos, deudores somos, no a la carne para que vivamos conforme a la carne.
13 for if according to the flesh you live, you are about to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds of the body you put to death, you will live;
Porque si viviereis conforme a la carne, moriréis; mas si por el Espíritu mortificareis las obras de la carne, viviréis.
14 for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God;
Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, los tales son hijos de Dios.
15 for you did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but you received [the] Spirit of adoption in which we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Porque no habéis recibido el espíritu de servidumbre para estar otra vez en temor; mas habéis recibido el Espíritu de adopción, por el cual clamamos: Abba, Padre.
16 [This] One—the Spirit—testifies with our spirit, that we are children of God;
Porque el mismo Espíritu da testimonio a nuestro espíritu que somos hijos de Dios.
17 and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ—if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.
Y si hijos, también herederos: herederos de Dios, y coherederos con Cristo: si empero padecemos juntamente con él, para que juntamente con él seamos también glorificados.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory about to be revealed in us;
Porque yo juzgo, que lo que en este tiempo se padece, no es digno de compararse con la gloria venidera que en nosotros ha de ser manifestada.
19 for the earnest looking out of the creation expects the revelation of the sons of God;
Porque el continuo atalayar de la criatura espera la manifestación de los hijos de Dios;
20 for to vanity was the creation made subject—not of its will, but because of Him who subjected [it]—in hope,
Porque la criatura fue sujetada a vanidad, no de su voluntad, sino por causa de aquel que la sujetó con esperanza.
21 that also the creation itself will be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God;
De que también la misma criatura será librada de la servidumbre de corrupción, en la libertad gloriosa de los hijos de Dios.
22 for we have known that all the creation groans together, and travails in pain together until now.
Porque ya sabemos, que toda la creación gime a una, y a una está en dolores de parto hasta ahora.
23 And not only [so], but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves groan in ourselves, expecting adoption—the redemption of our body;
Y no solo ella, mas también nosotros mismos que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, nosotros también gemimos dentro de nosotros mismos, esperando la adopción, es a saber, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.
24 for in hope we were saved, and hope beheld is not hope; for what anyone beholds, why does he also hope for [it]?
Porque en esperanza somos salvos: empero la esperanza que se ve, no es esperanza; porque lo que alguno ve, ¿cómo aun lo espera?
25 And if what we do not behold we hope for, through continuance we expect [it].
Mas si lo que no vemos esperamos, por paciencia lo esperamos.
26 And in like manner also, the Spirit helps our weaknesses; for what we may pray for, as it is necessary, we have not known, but [this] One—the Spirit—makes intercession for us with unutterable groanings,
Y asimismo también el Espíritu a una ayuda nuestra flaqueza; porque no sabemos lo que hemos de pedir como conviene; mas el mismo Espíritu intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles.
27 and He who is searching the hearts has known what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because according to God He intercedes for holy ones.
Mas el que escudriña los corazones, sabe cual es el deseo del Espíritu, porque conforme a la voluntad de Dios intercede por los santos.
28 And we have known that to those loving God all things work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose;
Y sabemos, que todas las cosas obran juntamente para el bien de los que a Dios aman, es a saber, a los que conforme a su propósito son llamados.
29 because whom He foreknew, He also foreordained, conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be firstborn among many brothers;
Porque a los que antes conoció, también predestinó para que fuesen hechos conformes a la imagen de su Hijo, para que él sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos.
30 and whom He foreordained, these also He called; and whom He called, these also He declared righteous; and whom He declared righteous, these also He glorified.
Y a los que predestinó, a estos también llamó; y a los que llamó, a estos también justificó; y a los que justificó, a estos también glorificó.
31 What, then, will we say to these things? If God [is] for us, who [is] against us?
¿Qué, pues, diremos a estas cosas? Si Dios es por nosotros, ¿quién será contra nosotros?
32 He who indeed did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him grant to us all things?
El que aun a su propio Hijo no perdonó, antes le entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos ha de dar también con él gratuitamente todas las cosas?
33 Who will lay a charge against the chosen ones of God? God [is] He that is declaring righteous;
¿Quién acusará contra los escogidos de Dios? Dios es el que los justifica.
34 who [is] he that is condemning? Christ [is] He that died, indeed, rather also, was raised up; who is also on the right hand of God—who also interceded for us.
¿Quién es el que los condena? Cristo es el que murió: antes el que también resucitó, el que también está a la diestra de Dios, el que también demanda por nosotros.
35 Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
¿Quién nos apartará del amor de Cristo? ¿Tribulación? ¿o angustia? ¿o persecución? ¿o hambre? ¿o desnudez? ¿o peligro? ¿o espada?
36 According as it has been written: “For Your sake we are put to death all the day long; we were reckoned as sheep of slaughter.”
(Como está escrito: Por causa de ti somos muertos todos los días: somos estimados como ovejas para el matadero: )
37 But in all these we more than conquer, through Him who loved us;
Antes en todas estas cosas vencemos, y aun más, por aquel que nos amó.
38 for I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor messengers, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,
Por que estoy cierto que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,
39 nor things about to be, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God that [is] in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ni lo alto, ni lo bajo, ni ninguna otra criatura nos podrá apartar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro.
