< Romans 2 >

1 Therefore, you are inexcusable, O man—everyone who is judging—for in that in which you judge the other, yourself you condemn, for the same things you practice who are judging,
Choncho, iwe amene umaweruza munthu wina, ulibe pokanira pakuti nthawi iliyonse pamene uweruza wina ukudzitsutsa wekha chifukwa iwe amene umaweruzawe umachitanso zinthu zomwezo.
2 and we have known that the judgment of God is according to truth, on those practicing such things.
Tsopano ife tikudziwa kuti chiweruzo cha Mulungu, chotsutsa amene amachita zinthu zotere, nʼchokhazikika pa choonadi.
3 And do you think this, O man, who are judging those who such things are practicing, and are doing them, that you will escape the judgment of God?
Kodi ukuganiza kuti udzathawa chiweruzo cha Mulungu iwe munthu wamba, pamene uweruza ena, iwe ndi kumachitanso zomwezo?
4 Or the riches of His goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, do you despise, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to conversion?
Kodi kapena ukupeputsa kukoma mtima kwa Mulungu, kuleza mtima kwake ndi kupirira kwake? Kodi sukuzindikira kuti kukoma mtima kwakeko, nʼkofuna kuti iweyo ulape machimo ako?
5 But according to your hardness and impenitent heart, you treasure up wrath to yourself in [the] day of wrath and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
Koma pakuti ndiwe wosamvera ndi wa mtima wosafuna kulapa, ukudzisungira chilango pa tsiku la mkwiyo wa Mulungu, pamene chiweruzo cholungama cha Mulungu chidzaonetsedwa.
6 who will render to each according to his works;
Mulungu adzabwezera aliyense molingana ndi ntchito zake.
7 to those, indeed, who in continuance of a good work, seek glory, and honor, and incorruptibility—continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
Iye adzapereka moyo wosatha kwa amene amafunafuna ulemerero, ulemu ndi moyo pochita ntchito zabwino mopirira. (aiōnios g166)
8 and to those contentious, and disobedient, indeed, to the truth, and obeying the unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
Koma Mulungu adzakhuthulira mkwiyo ndi ukali wake pa amene amachita zofuna zawo ndi kukana choonadi nʼkumatsatira zoyipa.
9 tribulation and distress, on every soul of man that is working the evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;
Masautso ndi zowawa zidzagwera munthu aliyense amene amachita zonyansa, kuyambira Myuda kenaka anthu a mitundu ina.
10 and glory, and honor, and peace, to everyone who is working the good, both to Jew first, and to Greek.
Koma ulemerero, ulemu ndi mtendere zidzakhala kwa aliyense amene amachita zabwino, kuyambira Myuda kenaka anthu a mitundu ina.
11 For there is no favor by appearance with God,
Pajatu Mulungu alibe tsankho.
12 for as many as sinned without law, will also perish without law, and as many as sinned in law, through law will be judged,
Onse amene amachimwa osadziwa Malamulo, adzawonongeka ngakhale kuti sadziwa Malamulowo. Ndipo onse amene amachimwa akudziwa Malamulo adzaweruzidwa potsata Malamulowo.
13 for not the hearers of the Law [are] righteous before God, but the doers of the Law will be declared righteous.
Pakuti si amene amangomva Malamulo amene amakhala wolungama pamaso pa Mulungu, koma ndi okhawo amene amachita zili mʼMalamulomo amene adzatchedwa olungama.
14 For when nations that have no law, by nature may do the things of the Law, these not having a law—to themselves are a law,
Ndithu, pamene a mitundu ina, amene alibe Malamulo, koma mwachikhalidwe chawo amachita zimene zili mʼMalamulo, iwowo ndi Malamulo pa iwo okha, ngakhale kuti alibe Malamulowo.
15 who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also witnessing with them, and between one another the thoughts accusing or else defending,
Ntchito zawo zimaonetsa kuti Malamulowo alembedwa mʼmitima mwawo. Chikumbumtima chawonso chimawachitira umboni pakuti maganizo awo amawatsutsa kapena kuwavomereza.
16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my good news, through Jesus Christ.
Izi zidzachitika pa tsiku limene Mulungu adzaweruza zinsinsi za anthu kudzera mwa Yesu Khristu, monga momwe Uthenga wanga Wabwino unenera.
17 Behold, you are named a Jew, and rest on the Law, and boast in God,
Koma iweyo, amene umadzitcha kuti ndiwe Myuda, umadalira Malamulo, ndipo umanyadira ubale wako ndi Mulungu,
18 and know the will, and approve the distinctions, being instructed out of the Law,
ngati umadziwa chifuniro chake, ndi kudziwa zoyenera kuchita chifukwa unaphunzitsidwa ndi Malamulo;
19 and have confidence that you yourself are a leader of blind ones, a light of those in darkness,
ngati umadziwadi kuti ndiwe mtsogoleri wa osaona, nyale yowunikira amene ali mu mdima,
20 a corrector of foolish ones, a teacher of babies, having the form of the knowledge and of the truth in the Law.
mlangizi wa anthu opusa, mphunzitsi wa makanda, chifukwa umadziwa kuti mʼMalamulo uli nayo nzeru yonse ndi choonadi,
21 You, then, who are teaching another, do you not teach yourself?
tsono, iwe amene umaphunzitsa ena, sudziphunzitsa wekha kodi? Kodi iwe amene umalalikira kuti anthu asabe, umabanso?
22 You who are preaching not to steal, do you steal? You who are saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who are abhorring the idols, do you rob temples?
Kodi iwe amene umanena kuti anthu asachite chigololo, umachitanso chigololo? Kodi iwe amene umanyasidwa ndi mafano, umalandanso za mʼnyumba zopembedzera mafanowo?
23 You who boast in the Law, through the transgression of the Law do you dishonor God?
Kodi iwe amene umadzitama ndi Malamulo, umamuchititsa manyazi Mulungu posamvera Malamulowo?
24 For evil is spoken of the Name of God among the nations because of you, according as it has been written.
Monga kwalembedwa, “Dzina la Mulungu likuchitidwa chipongwe pakati pa a mitundu ina chifukwa cha inu.”
25 For circumcision, indeed, profits, if you may practice law, but if you may be a transgressor of law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
Mdulidwe umakhala ndi phindu ngati usunga Malamulo, koma ngati sumvera Malamulo, iweyo umakhala ngati kuti sunachite mdulidwe.
26 If, therefore, the uncircumcision may keep the righteousness of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision?
Ngati amene sanachite mdulidwe achita zomwe zili mʼMalamulo, kodi sadzatengedwa ngati ochita mdulidwe?
27 And the uncircumcision, by nature, fulfilling the Law, will judge you who, through letter and circumcision, [are] a transgressor of law.
Munthu amene sanachite mdulidwe mʼthupi koma amamvera Malamulo adzakutsutsa iwe wosamvera Malamulowe, ngakhale kuti uli nawo Malamulo olembedwawo.
28 For he is not a Jew who is [so] outwardly, neither [is] circumcision that which is outward in flesh;
Myuda weniweni si amene angooneka ngati Myuda pamaso pa anthu, ndipo mdulidwe weniweni si umene umangochitika mʼthupi pamaso pa anthu.
29 but a Jew [is] he who is [so] inwardly, and circumcision [is] of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, of which the praise is not of men, but of God.
Ayi, Myuda weniweni ndi amene ali Myuda mu mtima mwake, ndipo mdulidwe weniweni ndi wa mtima, wochitika ndi Mzimu, osati ndi malamulo olembedwa. Woyamikira munthu wotere ndi Mulungu, osati anthu ayi.
