< Romans 13 >

1 Let every soul be subject to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and the authorities existing are appointed by God,
Warep ih deek akaan nawa ngoong awang tiit ah ekap jaatjaat etheng, tumeah Rangte jengkhaap mudoh bah o ngoong awang uh tatongka, eno amah dowa ngoong awang loong ah uh Rangte ih dongthiin arah.
2 so that he who is setting himself against the authority, has resisted against God’s ordinance; and those resisting will receive judgment to themselves.
O ih bah uh amah dowa ngoong awang loong tiit ah daanha, erah ih Rangte jeng daanha; eno erah daante rah ih heh teeteewah ah dande thuk suh jamha.
3 For those ruling are not a terror to the good works, but to the evil; and do you wish to not be afraid of the authority? Be doing that which is good, and you will have praise from it,
Ese ih reete loong abah ngoong awang loong ra choojih tajeeka, enoothong ethih reete loong ba cho ah. Sen ngoong awang ra lacho thang ih tong suh enook tam elan? Erah ang abah, ese marah ah erah moh an, eno ba neng ih egu et han,
4 for it is a servant of God to you for good; and if you may do that which is evil, be fearing, for it does not bear the sword in vain; for it is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who is doing that which is evil.
tumeah neng uh Rangte laksuh sen ese raang ih mola. Enoothong sen ethih re anbah, sen neng ra echoojih, tumeah neng ih chamnaang thuktheng chaan ah amiisak ih jeela. Ngoong awang loong ah Rangte laksuh eno ethih reete loong asuh Rangte ih chamnaang thuk ah.
5 For this reason it is necessary to be subject, not only because of the wrath, but also because of the conscience,
Erah raangtaan ih sen ih ngoong awang jeng ah ekap etheng—Rangte ih chamnaang thuk asuh laklak lah angthang ih, sen thung nawa ih nep jatjih.
6 for because of this you also pay tribute; for they are servants of God, on this very thing attending continually;
Sokse ah uh erah thoidi kohan, tumeah maatok di ngoong awang loong ah neng mootkaat morumla erah Rangte raangtaan ih mola.
7 render, therefore, to all [their] dues; to whom tribute, the tribute; to whom custom, the custom; to whom fear, the fear; to whom honor, the honor.
Erah raang ih sokse mathan kotjih ah ekot et an; sen ngiija nyam acham sokse anep koh anno neng asuh sen ih choomwu nyia soomtu et anrah noisok an.
8 To no one owe anything, except to love one another; for he who is loving the other—he has fulfilled law,
O doh uh thaangthemjih naktoom je ah—sen chamchi nah esiit esiit ih minchan mui thaangthemjih aba jeela. O bah uh emah ih reela loong ah ih Hootthe ah kap ha.
9 for, “You will not commit adultery, You will not murder, You will not steal, You will not bear false testimony, You will not covet”; and if there is any other command, in this word it is summed up, in this: “You will love your neighbor as yourself”;
Jengdang ah arah loong ah, “Mih minuh damdoh nak roomjup theng; mih nak tek haat theng; hot nak hutheng; mih hukkhaak suh nak mongmat theng,” erah dam ih jaat hoh tiit loong anep jengdang esiit ni roopla, “Khuung atok ah senteewah thanthan ih minchan an.”
10 the love to the neighbor works no ill; the love, therefore, [is] the fullness of law.
Sen ih mihoh asuh minchan et an bah; neng raang ih babah uh tathet reekan ang an; erah thoih, minchan mui ajuuba, Hootthe loongtang kap hi ah.
11 And this, knowing the time, that for us, the hour already [is] to be aroused out of sleep, for now our salvation [is] nearer than when we believed;
Sen erah loong ah ereejih jaatjaat, tumeah sen ih jat ehan jup nawa saat suh rangkuh saapoot ah thok ih hala. Jaakhoh ni seng ih kah hanpiiti tok dowa nang ih amadi seng khopui saapoot ah haniik ih thok hala.
12 the night advanced, and the day came near; let us lay aside, therefore, the works of the darkness, and let us put on the armor of the light;
Rangphe ah ethoon nanah ela rangwuung ah ejen thok ih hala. Erah raangtaan ih rangnak mootkaat ah etoohaat etheng, eno rangwuung nawa lang apah ah kap ih no rangwuung nah mui theng.
13 as in daytime, let us walk properly; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and licentiousness, not in strife and jealousy;
Rangwuung ni tongte loong phaakla likhiik, seng teewah ah pakna reeraang thaak ih—ethih nyi khomok khaampaang lah angtheng, raandi baaji lare theng, miksuk nyi changrook laje thang eah.
14 but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and take no forethought for the flesh—for desires.
Erah nang ih bah Teesu Jisu Kristo lang apah ah kap anno, rangdah tenthun nyia dang ajang loong ah toohaat etheng.
