< Romans 10 >

1 Brothers, the pleasure indeed of my heart, and my supplication that [is] to God for Israel, is—for salvation;
he bhraatara israayeliiyalokaa yat paritraa. na. m praapnuvanti tadaha. m manasaabhila. san ii"svarasya samiipe praarthaye|
2 for I bear them testimony that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge,
yata ii"svare te. saa. m ce. s.taa vidyata ityatraaha. m saak. syasmi; kintu te. saa. m saa ce. s.taa saj naanaa nahi,
3 for not knowing the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.
yatasta ii"svaradatta. m pu. nyam avij naaya svak. rtapu. nya. m sthaapayitum ce. s.tamaanaa ii"svaradattasya pu. nyasya nighnatva. m na sviikurvvanti|
4 For Christ is an end of law for righteousness to everyone who is believing,
khrii. s.ta ekaikavi"svaasijanaaya pu. nya. m daatu. m vyavasthaayaa. h phalasvaruupo bhavati|
5 for Moses describes the righteousness that [is] of the Law, that, “The man who did them will live in them,”
vyavasthaapaalanena yat pu. nya. m tat muusaa var. nayaamaasa, yathaa, yo janastaa. m paalayi. syati sa taddvaaraa jiivi. syati|
6 and the righteousness of faith thus speaks: “You may not say in your heart, Who will go up to Heaven?” (that is, to bring Christ down)
kintu pratyayena yat pu. nya. m tad etaad. r"sa. m vaakya. m vadati, ka. h svargam aaruhya khrii. s.tam avarohayi. syati?
7 or, “Who will go down to the abyss?” (that is, to bring up Christ out of the dead). (Abyssos g12)
ko vaa pretalokam avaruhya khrii. s.ta. m m. rtaga. namadhyaad aane. syatiiti vaak manasi tvayaa na gaditavyaa| (Abyssos g12)
8 But what does it say? “The saying is near you—in your mouth, and in your heart”: that is, the saying of the faith that we preach;
tarhi ki. m braviiti? tad vaakya. m tava samiipastham arthaat tava vadane manasi caaste, tacca vaakyam asmaabhi. h pracaaryyamaa. na. m vi"svaasasya vaakyameva|
9 that if you may confess with your mouth that Jesus [is] LORD, and may believe in your heart that God raised Him out of the dead, you will be saved,
vastuta. h prabhu. m yii"su. m yadi vadanena sviikaro. si, tathe"svarasta. m "sma"saanaad udasthaapayad iti yadyanta. hkara. nena vi"svasi. si tarhi paritraa. na. m lapsyase|
10 for with the heart [one] believes to righteousness, and with the mouth is confession made to salvation;
yasmaat pu. nyapraaptyartham anta. hkara. nena vi"svasitavya. m paritraa. naartha nca vadanena sviikarttavya. m|
11 for the Writing says, “Everyone who is believing on Him will not be ashamed,”
"saastre yaad. r"sa. m likhati vi"svasi. syati yastatra sa jano na trapi. syate|
12 for there is no difference between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord of all [is] rich to all those calling on Him,
ityatra yihuudini tadanyaloke ca kopi vi"se. so naasti yasmaad ya. h sarvve. saam advitiiya. h prabhu. h sa nijayaacakaana sarvvaan prati vadaanyo bhavati|
13 for “Everyone who, if he may have called on the Name of the LORD, will be saved.”
yata. h, ya. h ka"scit parame"sasya naamnaa hi praarthayi. syate| sa eva manujo nuuna. m paritraato bhavi. syati|
14 How then will they call on [Him] in whom they did not believe? And how will they believe [on Him] of whom they did not hear? And how will they hear apart from one preaching?
15 And how will they preach, if they may not be sent? According as it has been written: “How beautiful the feet of those proclaiming good tidings of peace, of those proclaiming good tidings of the good things!”
yadi vaa preritaa na bhavanti tadaa katha. m pracaarayi. syanti? yaad. r"sa. m likhitam aaste, yathaa, maa"ngalika. m susa. mvaada. m dadatyaaniiya ye naraa. h| pracaarayanti "saante"sca susa. mvaada. m janaastu ye| te. saa. m cara. napadmaani kiid. rk "sobhaanvitaani hi|
16 But they were not all obedient to the good tidings, for Isaiah says, “LORD, who gave credence to our report?”
kintu te sarvve ta. m susa. mvaada. m na g. rhiitavanta. h| yi"saayiyo yathaa likhitavaan| asmatpracaarite vaakye vi"svaasamakaroddhi ka. h|
17 So then faith [is] by a report, and the report through a saying of God,
ataeva "srava. naad vi"svaasa ai"svaravaakyapracaaraat "srava. na nca bhavati|
18 but I say, did they not hear? Yes, indeed, “their voice went forth to all the earth, and their sayings to the ends of the habitable world.”
tarhyaha. m braviimi tai. h ki. m naa"sraavi? ava"syam a"sraavi, yasmaat te. saa. m "sabdo mahii. m vyaapnod vaakya nca nikhila. m jagat|
19 But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy by [that which is] not a nation, By an unintelligent nation I will anger you,”
aparamapi vadaami, israayeliiyalokaa. h kim etaa. m kathaa. m na budhyante? prathamato muusaa ida. m vaakya. m provaaca, ahamuttaapayi. sye taan aga. nyamaanavairapi| klek. syaami jaatim etaa nca pronmattabhinnajaatibhi. h|
20 and Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those not seeking Me; I became visible to those not inquiring after Me”;

21 and to Israel He says, “All the day I stretched out My hands to a people unbelieving and contradicting.”
