Romans 10
1 Brothers, the pleasure indeed of my heart, and my supplication that [is] to God for Israel, is—for salvation;
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகா யத் பரித்ராணம்’ ப்ராப்நுவந்தி தத³ஹம்’ மநஸாபி⁴லஷந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸமீபே ப்ரார்த²யே|
2 for I bear them testimony that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge,
யத ஈஸ்²வரே தேஷாம்’ சேஷ்டா வித்³யத இத்யத்ராஹம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யஸ்மி; கிந்து தேஷாம்’ ஸா சேஷ்டா ஸஜ்ஞாநா நஹி,
3 for not knowing the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.
யதஸ்த ஈஸ்²வரத³த்தம்’ புண்யம் அவிஜ்ஞாய ஸ்வக்ரு’தபுண்யம்’ ஸ்தா²பயிதும் சேஷ்டமாநா ஈஸ்²வரத³த்தஸ்ய புண்யஸ்ய நிக்⁴நத்வம்’ ந ஸ்வீகுர்வ்வந்தி|
4 For Christ is an end of law for righteousness to everyone who is believing,
க்²ரீஷ்ட ஏகைகவிஸ்²வாஸிஜநாய புண்யம்’ தா³தும்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²யா: ப²லஸ்வரூபோ ப⁴வதி|
5 for Moses describes the righteousness that [is] of the Law, that, “The man who did them will live in them,”
வ்யவஸ்தா²பாலநேந யத் புண்யம்’ தத் மூஸா வர்ணயாமாஸ, யதா², யோ ஜநஸ்தாம்’ பாலயிஷ்யதி ஸ தத்³த்³வாரா ஜீவிஷ்யதி|
6 and the righteousness of faith thus speaks: “You may not say in your heart, Who will go up to Heaven?” (that is, to bring Christ down)
கிந்து ப்ரத்யயேந யத் புண்யம்’ தத்³ ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வாக்யம்’ வத³தி, க: ஸ்வர்க³ம் ஆருஹ்ய க்²ரீஷ்டம் அவரோஹயிஷ்யதி?
கோ வா ப்ரேதலோகம் அவருஹ்ய க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ ம்ரு’தக³ணமத்⁴யாத்³ ஆநேஷ்யதீதி வாக் மநஸி த்வயா ந க³தி³தவ்யா| (Abyssos g12)
8 But what does it say? “The saying is near you—in your mouth, and in your heart”: that is, the saying of the faith that we preach;
தர்ஹி கிம்’ ப்³ரவீதி? தத்³ வாக்யம்’ தவ ஸமீபஸ்த²ம் அர்தா²த் தவ வத³நே மநஸி சாஸ்தே, தச்ச வாக்யம் அஸ்மாபி⁴: ப்ரசார்ய்யமாணம்’ விஸ்²வாஸஸ்ய வாக்யமேவ|
9 that if you may confess with your mouth that Jesus [is] LORD, and may believe in your heart that God raised Him out of the dead, you will be saved,
வஸ்துத: ப்ரபு⁴ம்’ யீஸு²ம்’ யதி³ வத³நேந ஸ்வீகரோஷி, ததே²ஸ்²வரஸ்தம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நாத்³ உத³ஸ்தா²பயத்³ இதி யத்³யந்த: கரணேந விஸ்²வஸிஷி தர்ஹி பரித்ராணம்’ லப்ஸ்யஸே|
10 for with the heart [one] believes to righteousness, and with the mouth is confession made to salvation;
யஸ்மாத் புண்யப்ராப்த்யர்த²ம் அந்த: கரணேந விஸ்²வஸிதவ்யம்’ பரித்ராணார்த²ஞ்ச வத³நேந ஸ்வீகர்த்தவ்யம்’|
11 for the Writing says, “Everyone who is believing on Him will not be ashamed,”
ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே யாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ லிக²தி விஸ்²வஸிஷ்யதி யஸ்தத்ர ஸ ஜநோ ந த்ரபிஷ்யதே|
12 for there is no difference between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord of all [is] rich to all those calling on Him,
இத்யத்ர யிஹூதி³நி தத³ந்யலோகே ச கோபி விஸே²ஷோ நாஸ்தி யஸ்மாத்³ ய: ஸர்வ்வேஷாம் அத்³விதீய: ப்ரபு⁴: ஸ நிஜயாசகாந ஸர்வ்வாந் ப்ரதி வதா³ந்யோ ப⁴வதி|
13 for “Everyone who, if he may have called on the Name of the LORD, will be saved.”
யத: , ய: கஸ்²சித் பரமேஸ²ஸ்ய நாம்நா ஹி ப்ரார்த²யிஷ்யதே| ஸ ஏவ மநுஜோ நூநம்’ பரித்ராதோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
14 How then will they call on [Him] in whom they did not believe? And how will they believe [on Him] of whom they did not hear? And how will they hear apart from one preaching?
யம்’ யே ஜநா ந ப்ரத்யாயந் தே தமுத்³தி³ஸ்²ய கத²ம்’ ப்ரார்த²யிஷ்யந்தே? யே வா யஸ்யாக்²யாநம்’ கதா³பி ந ஸ்²ருதவந்தஸ்தே தம்’ கத²ம்’ ப்ரத்யேஷ்யந்தி? அபரம்’ யதி³ ப்ரசாரயிதாரோ ந திஷ்ட²ந்தி ததா³ கத²ம்’ தே ஸ்²ரோஷ்யந்தி?
15 And how will they preach, if they may not be sent? According as it has been written: “How beautiful the feet of those proclaiming good tidings of peace, of those proclaiming good tidings of the good things!”
யதி³ வா ப்ரேரிதா ந ப⁴வந்தி ததா³ கத²ம்’ ப்ரசாரயிஷ்யந்தி? யாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ லிகி²தம் ஆஸ்தே, யதா², மாங்க³லிகம்’ ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ த³த³த்யாநீய யே நரா: | ப்ரசாரயந்தி ஸா²ந்தேஸ்²ச ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ஜநாஸ்து யே| தேஷாம்’ சரணபத்³மாநி கீத்³ரு’க் ஸோ²பா⁴ந்விதாநி ஹி|
16 But they were not all obedient to the good tidings, for Isaiah says, “LORD, who gave credence to our report?”
கிந்து தே ஸர்வ்வே தம்’ ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ந க்³ரு’ஹீதவந்த: | யிஸா²யியோ யதா² லிகி²தவாந்| அஸ்மத்ப்ரசாரிதே வாக்யே விஸ்²வாஸமகரோத்³தி⁴ க: |
17 So then faith [is] by a report, and the report through a saying of God,
அதஏவ ஸ்²ரவணாத்³ விஸ்²வாஸ ஐஸ்²வரவாக்யப்ரசாராத் ஸ்²ரவணஞ்ச ப⁴வதி|
18 but I say, did they not hear? Yes, indeed, “their voice went forth to all the earth, and their sayings to the ends of the habitable world.”
தர்ஹ்யஹம்’ ப்³ரவீமி தை: கிம்’ நாஸ்²ராவி? அவஸ்²யம் அஸ்²ராவி, யஸ்மாத் தேஷாம்’ ஸ²ப்³தோ³ மஹீம்’ வ்யாப்நோத்³ வாக்யஞ்ச நிகி²லம்’ ஜக³த்|
19 But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy by [that which is] not a nation, By an unintelligent nation I will anger you,”
அபரமபி வதா³மி, இஸ்ராயேலீயலோகா: கிம் ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ந பு³த்⁴யந்தே? ப்ரத²மதோ மூஸா இத³ம்’ வாக்யம்’ ப்ரோவாச, அஹமுத்தாபயிஷ்யே தாந் அக³ண்யமாநவைரபி| க்லேக்ஷ்யாமி ஜாதிம் ஏதாஞ்ச ப்ரோந்மத்தபி⁴ந்நஜாதிபி⁴: |
20 and Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those not seeking Me; I became visible to those not inquiring after Me”;
அபரஞ்ச யிஸா²யியோ(அ)திஸ²யாக்ஷோபே⁴ண கத²யாமாஸ, யதா², அதி⁴ மாம்’ யைஸ்து நாசேஷ்டி ஸம்ப்ராப்தஸ்தை ர்ஜநைரஹம்’| அதி⁴ மாம்’ யை ர்ந ஸம்ப்ரு’ஷ்டம்’ விஜ்ஞாதஸ்தை ர்ஜநைரஹம்’||
21 and to Israel He says, “All the day I stretched out My hands to a people unbelieving and contradicting.”
கிந்த்விஸ்ராயேலீயலோகாந் அதி⁴ கத²யாஞ்சகார, யைராஜ்ஞாலங்கி⁴பி⁴ ர்லோகை ர்விருத்³த⁴ம்’ வாக்யமுச்யதே| தாந் ப்ரத்யேவ தி³நம்’ க்ரு’த்ஸ்நம்’ ஹஸ்தௌ விஸ்தாரயாம்யஹம்’||
