< Revelation 8 >
1 And when He opens the seventh seal, there came silence in Heaven about half an hour,
Yommuu Hoolichi chaappaa torbaffaa banetti gara walakkaa saʼaatii tokkoo samii keessa tasgabbiitu ture.
2 and I saw the seven messengers who have stood before God, and there were given to them seven trumpets,
Anis ergamoota fuula Waaqaa dura dhadhaabatan torban arge; isaaniifis malakanni torba ni kenname.
3 and another messenger came, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much incense, that he may give [it] to the prayers of all the holy ones on the golden altar that [is] before the throne,
Ergamaan biraa kan girgiraa warqee qabu tokko dhufee iddoo aarsaa bira dhaabate. Innis iddoo aarsaa warqee kan fuula teessichaa dura jiru sana irratti akka kadhannaa qulqulloota hundumaa wajjin dhiʼeessuuf ixaanni baayʼeen isaaf ni kenname.
4 and the smoke of the incenses, with the prayers of the holy ones, went up before God out of the hand of the messenger;
Aarri ixaana sanaas kadhannaa qulqullootaa wajjin harka ergamaa sanaa keessaa fuula Waaqaa duratti ol baʼe.
5 and the messenger took the censer, and filled it out of the fire of the altar, and cast [it] to the earth, and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Ergamaan sunis girgiraa fuudhee iddoo aarsaa irraa ibidda itti guutee lafatti gad darbate; ergasiis sagaleen kakawwee, balaqqeessaa fi sochii lafaa ni dhagaʼame.
6 And the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets prepared themselves that they may sound the trumpets;
Ergamoonni Waaqaa torban warri malakata torban qabanis malakata afuufuuf ni qophaaʼan.
7 and the first messenger sounded the trumpet, and there came hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast to the earth, and the third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
Ergamaan jalqabaa malakata isaa afuufe; cabbii fi ibiddi dhiigaan makames lafatti gad darbatame. Lafti harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ni gubatte; muktis harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ni gubate; margi lalisaan hundinuus ni gubate.
8 And the second messenger sounded the trumpet, and [something] like a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third of the sea became blood,
Ergamaan lammaffaanis malakata isaa afuufe; wanni tulluu guddaa fakkaatu kan ibiddaan gubachaa jiru tokkos galaanatti gad darbatame. Galaannis harka sadii keessaa harki tokko dhiiga taʼe;
9 and the third of the creatures that [are] in the sea died, those having life, and the third of the ships were destroyed.
uumamawwan lubbuu qabeeyyiin galaana keessaa harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ni dhuman; dooniiwwan harka sadii keessaas harki tokko ni barbadaaʼan.
10 And the third messenger sounded the trumpet, and there fell out of the sky a great star, burning as a lamp, and it fell on the third of the rivers, and on the fountains of waters,
Ergamaan sadaffaanis malakata isaa afuufe; urjiin guddaan akka gucaa bobaʼu tokkos samii irraa lafa dhaʼe; innis lageen harka sadii keessaa harka tokko irratti, burqaawwan bishaanii irrattis kufe;
11 and the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third of the waters become wormwood, and many of the men died [because] of the waters, because they were made bitter.
maqaan urjii sanaas “Hadheessaa” jedhama. Bishaan sunis harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ni hadhaaʼe; sababii bishaan sun hadheeffameefis namoonni baayʼeen bishaaniin dhuman.
12 And the fourth messenger sounded the trumpet, and the third of the sun was struck, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that the third of them may be darkened, and that the day may not shine—the third of it, and the night in like manner.
Ergamaan afuraffaanis malakata isaa afuufe; aduun harka sadii keessaa harki tokko, jiʼi harka sadii keessaa harki tokko, urjiinis harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ni rukutaman; kanaanis ifni isaanii harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ni dukkanaaʼe. Guyyaan harka sadii keessaa harki tokko akkasumas halkan harka sadii keessaa harki tokko ifa malee hafe.
13 And I saw, and I heard one messenger, flying in midair, saying with a great voice, “Woe, woe, woe, to those dwelling on the earth because of the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three messengers being about to sound trumpets.”
Anis ilaalee risaa samii walakkaa barrisaa sagalee guddaadhaan, “Sababii sagalee malakataa kan ergamoota biraa sadaniin dhageessifamuuf jiru sanaatiif warra lafa irra jiraataniif Wayyoo! Wayyoo! Wayyoo!” jedhee iyyu tokko nan dhagaʼe.
