Revelation 8
1 And when He opens the seventh seal, there came silence in Heaven about half an hour,
Und als es das siebente Siegel auftat, ward im Himmel eine Stille bei einer halben Stunde.
2 and I saw the seven messengers who have stood before God, and there were given to them seven trumpets,
Und ich sah die sieben Engel, die vor Gott stehen, und es wurden ihnen sieben Posaunen gegeben.
3 and another messenger came, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much incense, that he may give [it] to the prayers of all the holy ones on the golden altar that [is] before the throne,
Und ein anderer Engel kam und stellte sich an den Altar und hatte ein goldenes Räucherfaß. Und ihm wurde viel Räuchwerk gegeben, um es zu geben mit den Gebeten aller Heiligen auf dem goldenen Altar vor dem Throne.
4 and the smoke of the incenses, with the prayers of the holy ones, went up before God out of the hand of the messenger;
Und es stieg auf der Rauch des Räuchwerks mit den Gebeten der Heiligen aus der Hand des Engels vor Gott.
5 and the messenger took the censer, and filled it out of the fire of the altar, and cast [it] to the earth, and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Und der Engel nahm das Räuchfaß und füllte es aus dem Feuer des Altars und warf es auf die Erde; und es geschahen Stimmen und Donner und Blitze und Erdbeben.
6 And the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets prepared themselves that they may sound the trumpets;
Und die sieben Engel, welche die sieben Posaunen hatten, bereiteten sich zu posaunen.
7 and the first messenger sounded the trumpet, and there came hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast to the earth, and the third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
Und der erste Engel posaunte, und es ward Hagel und Feuer mit Blut vermischt und wurde geworfen auf die Erde, und der dritte Teil der Bäume verbrannte, und alles grüne Gras verbrannte.
8 And the second messenger sounded the trumpet, and [something] like a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third of the sea became blood,
Und der zweite Engel posaunte, und es war, als würde ein großer Berg mit Feuer brennend ins Meer geworfen, und der dritte Teil des Meeres ward Blut.
9 and the third of the creatures that [are] in the sea died, those having life, and the third of the ships were destroyed.
Und der dritte Teil der Geschöpfe im Meer, die Seelen hatten, starb, und der dritte Teil der Schiffe wurde verdorben.
10 And the third messenger sounded the trumpet, and there fell out of the sky a great star, burning as a lamp, and it fell on the third of the rivers, and on the fountains of waters,
Und der dritte Engel posaunte, und es fiel ein großer Stern aus dem Himmel, brennend wie eine Fackel, und er fiel auf den dritten Teil der Flüsse und auf die Quellen der Wasser.
11 and the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third of the waters become wormwood, and many of the men died [because] of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Und der Name des Sterns heißt Wermut, und der dritte Teil der Wasser ward Wermut, und viele Menschen starben von den Wassern, denn sie waren bitter geworden.
12 And the fourth messenger sounded the trumpet, and the third of the sun was struck, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that the third of them may be darkened, and that the day may not shine—the third of it, and the night in like manner.
Und der vierte Engel posaunte, und geschlagen ward der dritte Teil der Sonne, und der dritte Teil des Mondes, und der dritte Teil der Sterne, so daß der dritte Teil derselben verfinstert ward, und der Tag sein drittes Teil nicht schien, und die Nacht desgleichen.
13 And I saw, and I heard one messenger, flying in midair, saying with a great voice, “Woe, woe, woe, to those dwelling on the earth because of the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three messengers being about to sound trumpets.”
Und ich sah und hörte mitten am Himmel einen Engel fliegen und mit großer Stimme sagen: Wehe, wehe, wehe denen, die auf Erden wohnen, wegen der übrigen Stimmen der Posaunen der drei Engel, die posaunen werden.
