Revelation 6
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as it were a voice of thunder, “Come and behold!”
Nun sah ich, wie das Lamm das erste von den sieben Siegeln löste, und ich hörte eins der vier Lebewesen wie mit Donnerstimme rufen: "Komm!"
2 And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he who is sitting on it is having a bow, and there was given to him a garland, and he went forth overcoming, and that he may overcome.
Da sah ich: es erschien ein weißes Roß. Sein Reiter hatte einen Bogen, und ihm ward ein Kranz gereicht. Dann zog er aus von Sieg zu Sieg.
3 And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and behold!”
Als das Lamm das zweite Siegel löste, hörte ich das zweite Lebewesen rufen: "Komm!"
4 And there went forth another horse—fire-colored, and to him who is sitting on it, there was given to him to take peace from the earth, and that they may slay one another, and there was given to him a great sword.
Da kam ein anderes Roß hervor, von feuerroter Farbe, und seinem Reiter ward die Macht gegeben, den Frieden von der Erde wegzunehmen und die Menschen anzureizen, einander hinzumorden; es ward ihm auch ein großes Schwert gegeben.
5 And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come and behold!” And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and he who is sitting on it is having a balance in his hand,
Als das Lamm das dritte Siegel löste, hörte ich das dritte Lebewesen rufen: "Komm!" Da sah ich: es erschien ein schwarzes Roß, und sein Reiter hatte eine Waage in der Hand.
6 and I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius, and you may not injure the oil and the wine.”
Ich hörte, wie eine Stimme in der Mitte der vier Lebewesen sagte: "Ein Maß Weizen für einen Silberling und drei Maß Gerste für einen Silberling! Dem Öl und Wein jedoch tu keinen Schaden!"
7 And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and behold!”
Als das Lamm das vierte Siegel löste, hörte ich die Stimme des vierten Lebewesens rufen: "Komm!"
8 And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and he who is sitting on him—his name is Death, and Hades follows with him, and there was given to them authority to kill over the fourth part of the earth with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
Da sah ich: es erschien ein fahles Roß. Sein Reiter trug den Namen "Tod", und die "Unterwelt" folgte ihm auf dem Fuß. Und sie empfingen Macht über den vierten Teil der Erde, (die Menschen) zu töten durch Schwert, Hunger und Pest und durch die wilden Tiere der Erde. (Hadēs g86)
9 And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony that they held,
Als das Lamm das fünfte Siegel löste, sah ich unter dem Altar die Seelen derer, die hingeschlachtet waren um des Wortes Gottes willen und wegen des Zeugnisses, das sie treu bewahrt hatten.
10 and they were crying with a great voice, saying, “Until when, O Master, the Holy and the True, do You not judge and take vengeance of our blood from those dwelling on the earth?”
Sie riefen mit lauter Stimme und sprachen: "Wie lange, o heiliger und wahrhaftiger Herr, soll es noch währen, bis du das Gericht vollziehst und unser Blut an den Erdbewohnern rächst?"
11 And there was given to each one a white robe, and it was said to them that they may rest themselves yet a short time, until may also be fulfilled their fellow-servants and their brothers, who are about to be killed—even as they.
Jeder von ihnen empfing ein weißes Kleid, und sie wurden aufgefordert, noch eine kurze Weile in Geduld zu warten, bis auch ihre Mitknechte ihren Lauf vollendet hätten: ihre Brüder, die ebenso wie sie den Tod erleiden sollten.
12 And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, a great earthquake came, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood,
Dann sah ich, wie das Lamm das sechste Siegel löste. Da entstand ein starkes Erdbeben. Die Sonne wurde schwarz wie ein härener Sack. Der ganze Mond erschien wie Blut.
13 and the stars of Heaven fell to the earth—as a fig tree casts her unripe figs, being shaken by a great wind—
Die Sterne des Himmels fielen auf die Erde, als wenn ein Feigenbaum, von starkem Wind bewegt, seine unreifen Früchte abwirft.
14 and the sky departed as a scroll rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places;
Der Himmel entwich wie ein Buch, das man zusammenrollt; und alle Berge und Inseln wurden von ihrer Stelle gerückt.
15 and the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chiefs of thousands, and the mighty, and every servant, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains,
Die Könige der Erde, die Gewaltigen und die Feldobersten, die Reichen und die Starken, alle Leibeigenen und alle Freien verbargen sich in die Höhlen und die Felsen der Berge
16 and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him who is sitting on the throne, and from the anger of the Lamb,”
und sprachen zu den Bergen und Felsen: "Fallt über uns und verbergt uns vor dem Angesicht dessen, der auf dem Thron sitzt, und vor dem Zorn des Lammes!
17 because the great day of His anger has come, and who is able to stand?
Denn der große Tag ihres Zornes ist gekommen; wer kann da bestehen?"
