Revelation 3

1 “And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write: These things says He who is having the Seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I have known your works, and that you have the name that you live, and you are dead;

Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Sardes schreibe: So spricht der, der da hat die sieben Geister Gottes und die sieben Sterne: ich kenne deine Werke, daß du den Namen hast zu leben, und bist tot;

2 be watching, and strengthen the rest of the things that are about to die, for I have not found your works fulfilled before God.

werde wach und stärke den Rest, der daran war zu sterben, denn ich habe deine Werke nicht voll gefunden vor meinem Gott.

3 Remember, then, what you have received and heard, and keep [it] and convert: if, then, you may not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you may not know what hour I will come on you.

So gedenke denn, wie du es empfangen und gehört hast, und halte daran und thue Buße. Wenn du nun nicht wachst, so komme ich wie ein Dieb; und du sollst nimmermehr wissen, welche Stunde ich zu dir kommen werde.

4 You have a few names even in Sardis who did not defile their garments, and they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.

Aber du hast einige Namen in Sardes, die ihre Kleider nicht befleckt haben; und sie sollen mit mir wandeln in weißen Kleidern, denn sie sind würdig.

5 The [one] thus overcoming will be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Scroll of Life, and I will confess his name before My Father, and before His messengers.

Der Sieger wird solchergestalt angethan werden mit weißen Kleidern, und ich werde seinen Namen nimmermehr auslöschen aus dem Buche des Lebens, und werde seinen Namen bekennen vor meinem Vater und vor seinen Engeln.

6 He who is having an ear—let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

Wer ein Ohr hat, höre was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt.

7 And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write: These things says the Holy [One], the True [One], having the key of David, the [One] opening and no one will shut, and shutting and no one opens:

Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Philadelphia schreibe: So spricht der Heilige, der Wahrhaftige, der den Schlüssel Davids hat, der da öffnet, daß niemand wieder schließen, und schließt, daß niemand wieder öffnen wird.

8 I have known your works; behold, I have set before you a door having been opened, which no one is able to shut it, because you have little power, and yet have kept My word, and have not denied My Name;

Ich kenne deine Werke; siehe ich habe vor dich eine offene Thüre gestellt, die niemand schließen kann. Denn du hast wohl eine kleine Kraft, doch du hast mein Wort bewahrt und meinen Namen nicht verleugnet.

9 behold, I give from the synagogue of Satan—those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them that they may come and prostrate before your feet, and may know that I loved you.

Siehe ich bringe Leute aus der Synagoge des Satans, die sich Juden heißen und sind es nicht, sondern lügen; siehe ich will sie dahinbringen, daß sie kommen und sich beugen vor deinen Füßen, und erkennen, daß ich dir meine Liebe zugewendet.

10 Because you kept the word of My endurance, I also will keep you from the hour of the trial that is about to come on all the world, to try those dwelling on the earth.

Denn du hast das Wort von meiner Geduld bewahrt, und ich will dich bewahren durch die Stunde der Prüfung hindurch, welche über den ganzen Erdkreis kommen wird, zu prüfen die Bewohner der Erde.

11 Behold, I come quickly, be holding fast that which you have, that no one may receive your garland.

Ich komme schnell; halte was du hast, daß dir niemand deinen Kranz nehme.

12 He who is overcoming—I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he may not go outside anymore, and I will write on him the Name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, that comes down out of Heaven from My God—also My new Name.

Wer überwindet, den will ich machen zur Säule im Tempel meines Gottes, und er wird nimmermehr herauskommen, und ich werde auf ihn schreiben den Namen meines Gottes, und den Namen der Stadt meines Gottes, des neuen Jerusalem, das vom Himmel herabkommt von meinem Gott her, und meinen neuen Namen.

13 He who is having an ear—let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

Wer ein Ohr hat, höre was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt.

14 And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things says the Amen, the Witness—the Faithful and True—the Chief of the creation of God:

Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Laodikea schreibe: So spricht der Amen, der treue und wahrhaftige Zeuge, der Urgrund der Schöpfung Gottes.

15 I have known your works, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish you were cold or hot.

Ich kenne deine Werke, daß du nicht kalt noch warm bist. Wärest du doch kalt oder warm!

16 So—because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit you out of My mouth;

So nun, weil du lau bist, und weder warm noch kalt, will ich dich ausspeien aus meinem Munde.

17 because you say—I am rich, and have grown rich, and have need of nothing, and have not known that you are the wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked;

Denn du sagst: ich bin reich, ja reich bin ich geworden und brauche nichts, und weißt nicht, daß du bist unglücklich, elend, arm, blind und bloß.

18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold fired by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments that you may be clothed, and the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed, and with eye-salve anoint your eyes, that you may see.

Ich rate dir bei mir Gold zu kaufen im Feuer geglüht, damit du reich werdest, und weiße Gewänder zum Anlegen, daß die Schande deiner Blöße nicht offenbar werde, und Salbe auf deine Augen einzureiben um zu sehen.

19 As many as I cherish, I convict and discipline; be zealous, then, and convert;

Denn welche ich liebe, die strafe und züchtige ich; so beeifere dich nun und thue Buße.

20 behold, I have stood at the door, and I knock; if anyone may hear My voice, and may open the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Siehe ich stehe vor der Thüre und klopfe an; wer meine Stimme hört und die Thüre aufmacht, zu dem werde ich eingehen und mit ihm Mahlzeit halten und er mit mir.

21 He who is overcoming—I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father in His throne.

Wer überwindet, dem werde ich verleihen mit mir auf meinem Throne zu sitzen, wie auch ich überwunden habe und mich gesetzt zu meinem Vater auf seinen Thron.

22 He who is having an ear—let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.”

Wer ein Ohr hat, höre was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt.
