Revelation 13
1 And I stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and ten crowns on its horns, and on its heads names of slander,
Und ich stand auf dem Sande des Meeres, und ich sah aus dem Meer aufsteigen ein Tier, das hatte zehn Hörner und sieben Köpfe, und auf seinen Hörnern zehn Diademe, und auf seinen Köpfen Namen der Lästerung.
2 and the beast that I saw was like to a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority.
Und das Tier, welches ich sah, glich einem Parder, und seine Füße waren wie die eines Bären, und sein Rachen wie ein Löwenrachen, und der Drache gab ihm seine Kraft, seinen Thron und große Gewalt.
3 And I saw one of its heads as slain to death, and its deadly wound was healed, and all the earth wondered after the beast,
Und einer von seinen Köpfen war wie abgeschlagen zum Tode, und seine Todeswunde wurde geheilt. Und die ganze Erde sah dem Tier staunend nach.
4 and they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who [is] like to the beast? Who is able to war with it?”
Und sie beteten den Drachen an, weil er dem Tiere seine Gewalt gegeben, und huldigten dem Tiere, indem sie sagten: wer gleicht dem Tier und wer kann mit ihm kämpfen?
5 And there was given to it a mouth speaking great things, and slanders, and there was given to it authority to make war forty-two months,
Und es ward ihm ein Maul gegeben zum Großsprechen und zur Lästerung, und ward ihm Vollmacht gegeben es zu treiben zweiundvierzig Monate.
6 and it opened its mouth for slander toward God, to slander His Name, and of His dwelling place, and of those who dwell in Heaven,
Und es öffnete sein Maul zu Lästerungen gegen Gott, zu lästern seinen Namen und sein Zelt, die da im Himmel zelten. Und ward ihm gegeben Krieg zu führen mit den Heiligen und sie zu besiegen,
7 and there was given to it to make war with the holy ones, and to overcome them, and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and tongue, and nation.
und ward ihm Gewalt gegeben über alle Stämme, Völker, Sprachen und Nationen.
8 And all who are dwelling on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Scroll of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world;
Und es werden ihn anbeten alle Bewohner der Erde, deren Namen nicht geschrieben sind im Lebensbuche des geschlachteten Lammes von Grundlegung der Welt her.
9 if anyone has an ear—let him hear:
Wer ein Ohr hat, der höre.
10 if anyone [goes] into captivity, into captivity he goes; if anyone is to be killed with sword, it is necessary of him by sword to be killed; here is the endurance and the faith of the holy ones.
Wer Gefangene macht, soll in Gefangenschaft wandern; wer mit dem Schwerte tötet, soll mit dem Schwert getötet werden. Hier gilt es Geduld und Glauben der Heiligen.
11 And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, and it was speaking as a dragon,
Und ich sah ein anderes Tier aufsteigen vom Lande, das hatte zwei Hörner ähnlich wie ein Lamm und sprach wie ein Drache.
12 and all the authority of the first beast does it do before it, and it makes the earth and those dwelling in it that they will worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed,
Und es vollzieht alle Befehle des ersten Tieres vor ihm, und bringt die Erde und ihre Bewohner dazu, das erste Tier, dessen Todeswunde geheilt ward, anzubeten.
13 and it does great signs, that fire also it may make to come down from the sky to the earth before men,
Und es thut große Zeichen, selbst Feuer macht es vom Himmel auf die Erde herabkommen vor den Menschen.
14 and it leads astray those dwelling on the earth, because of the signs that were given it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast that has the wound of the sword and lived,
Und es verführt die Bewohner der Erde, wegen der Zeichen die ihm gegeben ward zu thun vor dem Tiere, indem es die Bewohner der Erde beredet, ein Bild zu machen dem Tiere, welches die Wunde des Schwertes hat und ward lebendig.
15 and there was given to it to give a spirit to the image of the beast, that also the image of the beast may speak, and it may cause as many as will not worship the image of the beast, that they may be killed.
Und es ward ihm gegeben, dem Bilde des Tieres Odem einzuflößen, daß das Bild des Tieres sogar spreche, und bewirke daß, die das Bild des Tieres nicht anbeten, getötet werden.
16 And it makes all, the small, and the great, and the rich, and the poor, and the freemen, and the servants, that it may give to them a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
Und es bringt alle, die Kleinen und die Großen, die Reichen und die Armen, die Freien und die Knechte dazu, daß sie sich einen Stempel machen auf ihrer rechten Hand oder ihrer Stirn,
17 and that no one may be able to buy, or to sell, except he who is having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
damit niemand kaufen oder verkaufen könne, der nicht den Stempel habe mit dem Namen des Tieres oder der Zahl seines Namens.
18 Here is the wisdom! He who is having the understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and its number: six hundred sixty-six.
Hier die Weisheit! wer es versteht, der berechne die Zahl des Tieres, denn es ist eines Menschen Zahl. Und seine Zahl ist 666.
