< Revelation 10 >

1 And I saw another strong messenger coming down out of Heaven, clothed with a cloud, and a rainbow on the head, and his face as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire,
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 and he had in his hand a little scroll opened, and he placed his right foot on the sea, and the left on the land,
And he had in his hand a little scroll open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 and he cried with a great voice, as a lion roars, and when he cried, the seven thunders spoke out their voices;
And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 and when the seven thunders spoke their voices, I was about to write, and I heard a voice out of Heaven saying to me, “Seal the things that the seven thunders spoke,” and, “You may not write these things.”
And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5 And the messenger whom I saw standing on the sea, and on the land, lifted up his hand to the sky,
And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 and swore by Him who lives through the ages of the ages, who created the sky and the things in it, and the land and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it—that time will not be yet, (aiōn g165)
And swore by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that are in it, and the earth, and the things that are in it, and the sea, and the things which are in it, that there should be delay no longer: (aiōn g165)
7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh messenger, when he may be about to sound the trumpet, and the secret of God may be accomplished, as He declared to His own servants, to the prophets.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice that I heard out of Heaven is again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take the little scroll that is open in the hand of the messenger who has been standing on the sea, and on the land”:
And the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again, and said, Go and take the little scroll which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 and I went away to the messenger, saying to him, “Give me the little scroll”; and he says to me, “Take, and eat it up, and it will make your belly bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”
And I went to the angel, and said to him, Give me the little scroll. And he said to me, Take it, and eat it; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little scroll out of the hand of the messenger, and ate it up, and it was in my mouth sweet as honey, and when I ate it my belly was made bitter;
And I took the little scroll out of the angel’s hand, and ate it; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 and he says to me, “You must again prophesy about many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”
And he said to me, Thou must prophesy again concerning many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
