Revelation 1
1 A revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave to Him to show to His servants what things must quickly come to pass; and He signified [it], having sent through His messenger to His servant John,
Offenbarung Jesu Christi, die Gott ihm gegeben hat, um seinen Knechten kundzutun, was bald geschehen muß. Er tat es durch seinen Engel, den er gesandt hat, Johannes, seinem Knechte, kund.
2 who testified [to] the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, as many things as he also saw.
Dieser hat Zeugnis abgelegt vom Worte Gottes, und das Bekenntnis über Jesus Christus, über alles, was er geschaut hat.
3 Blessed is he who is reading, and those hearing the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things written in it, for the time is near!
Selig, wer die Worte der Prophezeiung liest und die sie hören, und was darin geschrieben steht, bewahren; die Zeit ist nahe.
4 John, to the seven assemblies that [are] in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from Him who is, and who was, and who is coming, and from the Seven Spirits that are before His throne,
Johannes an die sieben asiatischen Gemeinden. Gnade werde euch zuteil und Friede von dem, der ist und war und kommen wird, und von den sieben Geistern, die vor seinem Throne sind,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn out of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth; to Him loving us and having released us from our sins in His blood,
und von Jesus Christus, dem getreuen Zeugen, dem Erstgeborenen der Toten, dem Herrscher über die Könige der Erde. Von ihm, der uns liebt, der uns erlöst hat von unseren Sünden in seinem Blute,
6 [He] has also made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him—the glory and the power through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
der uns zu einem Königtum gemacht hat, zu Priestern für Gott und seinen Vater: Ihm gebührt die Herrlichkeit und Macht bis in die Ewigkeit der Ewigkeiten. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Behold, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the land will wail because of Him. Yes! Amen!
Sieh, er kommt auf den Wolken. Jedes Auge wird ihn schauen, auch die, die ihn durchbohrt haben. Dann werden alle Stämme auf der Erde wehklagen über ihn. Ja. Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, beginning and end, says the LORD, who is, and who was, and who is coming—the Almighty.”
"Ich bin das Alpha und das Omega" der Anfang und das Ende, spricht Gott, der Herr, der ist und war und kommen wird, der Allbeherrscher.
9 I, John, who [am] also your brother, and fellow-partner in the tribulation, and in the kingdom and endurance of Jesus Christ, was in the island that is called Patmos, because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ;
Ich, Johannes, euer Bruder und Gefährte in der Trübsal, im Reiche Gottes und in der geduldigen Erwartung in Jesus, ich war auf der Insel Patmos wegen des Wortes Gottes und des Zeugnisses für Jesus.
10 I was in the Spirit on the LORD’s Day, and I heard a great voice behind me, as of a trumpet, saying,
Ich ward am Tage des Herrn verzückt: Ich hörte hinter mir eine laute Stimme, es war wie ein Posaunenstoß.
11 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “Write what you see in a scroll, and send [it] to the seven assemblies that [are] in Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
Sie rief: "Was du da siehst, das schreibe dir auf eine Rolle und sende es an die sieben Gemeinden; nach Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardes, Philadelphia und Laodizea."
12 And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me, and having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands,
Da wandte ich mich um, um nach der Stimme zu schauen, die mit mir redete. Und als ich mich umwandte, sah ich sieben goldene Leuchter;
13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands, [One] like a Son of Man, clothed to the foot, and having been girded around at the breasts with a golden girdle,
inmitten dieser Leuchter einen, der einem Menschensohne glich. Er trug ein wallendes Gewand, und über seiner Brust war er gegürtet mit einem goldenen Gürtel.
14 and His head and hairs [were] white, as if white wool—as snow, and His eyes as a flame of fire;
Sein Haupt und seine Haare waren weiß wie weiße Wolle, weiß wie Schnee, und seine Augen wie ein loderndes Feuer,
15 and His feet like to frankincense-colored brass, as having been fired in a furnace, and His voice as a sound of many waters;
und seine Füße wie Golderz, wie geglüht in Feuersglut, und seine Stimme glich dem Rauschen vieler Wasser.
16 and having seven stars in His right hand, and out of His mouth a sharp two-edged sword is proceeding, and His countenance—as the sun shining in its might.
In seiner Rechten hält er sieben Sterne; aus seinem Munde gebt ein Schwert hervor, zweischneidig und geschärft. Sein Antlitz ist, wie wenn die Sonne scheint in ihrer vollen Kraft.
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead, and He placed His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last,
Als ich ihn sah, fiel ich wie tot zu seinen Füßen nieder. Doch er legte seine Rechte auf mich: "Hab keine Furcht", sprach er, "ich bin der Erste und der Letzte
19 Write the things that you have seen, and the things that are, and the things that are about to come after these things;
Schreibe nun, was du gesehen hast, was ist und was hernach geschehen wird.
20 the secret of the seven stars that you have seen on My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are messengers of the seven assemblies, and the seven lampstands that you have seen are seven assemblies.”
Das Geheimnis der sieben Sterne, die du in meiner Rechten sahst, und die sieben goldenen Leuchter: Die sieben Sterne sind die Engel der sieben Gemeinden; die sieben Leuchter sind die sieben Gemeinden selbst."
