< Psalms 98 >
1 A PSALM. Sing to YHWH a new song, For He has done wonders, His right hand and His holy arm have given salvation to Him.
“A psalm.” Oh sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done wonderful things: his right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory.
2 YHWH has made His salvation known, Before the eyes of the nations, He has revealed His righteousness,
The Lord hath made known his salvation: before the eyes of the nations hath he revealed his righteousness.
3 He has remembered His kindness, And His faithfulness to the house of Israel, All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
He hath remembered his kindness and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout to YHWH, all the earth, Break forth, and cry aloud, and sing.
Shout joyfully unto the Lord, all the lands: break forth, and rejoice, and sing praises.
5 Sing to YHWH with harp, With harp, and voice of praise,
Sing praises unto the Lord with the harp, —with the harp, and the voice of psalmody.
6 With trumpets, and voice of a horn, shout before the King, YHWH.
With trumpets and the sound of cornet shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
7 The sea and its fullness roar, The world and the inhabitants in it.
Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it; the world, with those that dwell therein.
8 Floods clap hand, together hills cry aloud,
Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together,
9 Before YHWH, For He has come to judge the earth, He judges the world in righteousness, And the people in uprightness!
Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and people with equity.
