Psalms 97

1 YHWH has reigned, The earth is joyful, many islands rejoice.

Gospod kraljuje, radúj se zemlja, veselé se naj pokrajine premnoge.

2 Cloud and darkness [are] around Him, Righteousness and judgment the basis of His throne.

Oblaki in temà ga obdajajo; pravica in sodba kraj njegovega prestola.

3 Fire goes before Him, And burns around His adversaries.

Ogenj hodi pred njim in požiga okrog sovražnike njegove.

4 His lightnings have lightened the world, The earth has seen, and is pained.

Bliski razsvetljujejo vesoljni svet njegov, vidi in trese se zemlja.

5 Hills, like wax, melted before YHWH, Before the Lord of all the earth.

Goré se topé kakor vosek vpričo Gospoda, vpričo vse zemlje gospodarja.

6 The heavens declared His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.

Nebesa oznanjajo pravico njegovo; tako da vidijo vsa ljudstva čast njegovo.

7 All servants of a carved image are ashamed, Those boasting themselves in idols, Bow yourselves to Him, all you gods.

Osramoté se naj vsi, ki se ponašajo z maliki; klanjajo naj se mu vsi angeli.

8 Zion has heard and rejoices, And daughters of Judah are joyful, Because of Your judgments, O YHWH.

Čuje in veseli se naj Sijon, in radujejo se hčere Judovske, zavoljo sodeb tvojih, Gospod.

9 For You, YHWH, [are] Most High over all the earth, You have been exalted greatly over all gods.

Ti namreč si Gospod, vzvišen nad vso zemljo; silno povišan si nad vse angele.

10 You who love YHWH, hate evil, He is keeping the souls of His saints, He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Kateri ljubite Gospoda, sovražite húdo; duše svojih, katerim izkazuje milost, hrani, iz rok krivičnih jih otima.

11 Light [is] sown for the righteous, And joy for the upright of heart.

Luč se je rodila pravičnemu, in poštenim v srci radost.

12 Rejoice, you righteous, in YHWH, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness!

Veselite se, pravični v Gospodu, in slavite spomin svetosti njegove.
