Psalms 97
1 YHWH has reigned, The earth is joyful, many islands rejoice.
Gospod kraljuje, naj se zemlja veseli, naj bo množica otokov vesela le-tega.
2 Cloud and darkness [are] around Him, Righteousness and judgment the basis of His throne.
Oblaki in tema so okoli njega. Pravičnost in sodba sta prebivališče njegovega prestola.
3 Fire goes before Him, And burns around His adversaries.
Ogenj gre pred njim in naokrog požiga njegove sovražnike.
4 His lightnings have lightened the world, The earth has seen, and is pained.
Njegovi bliski so razsvetlili zemeljski [krog]; zemlja je videla in trepetala.
5 Hills, like wax, melted before YHWH, Before the Lord of all the earth.
Hribi so se ob Gospodovi prisotnosti topili kakor vosek, ob prisotnosti Gospoda celotne zemlje.
6 The heavens declared His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.
Nebesa oznanjujejo njegovo pravičnost in vsa ljudstva vidijo njegovo slavo.
7 All servants of a carved image are ashamed, Those boasting themselves in idols, Bow yourselves to Him, all you gods.
Zbegani so vsi tisti, ki služijo rezanim podobam, ki se bahajo z maliki; obožujte ga, vsi vi bogovi.
8 Zion has heard and rejoices, And daughters of Judah are joyful, Because of Your judgments, O YHWH.
Sion je slišal in je bil vesel in judovske hčere so se veselile zaradi tvojih sodb, oh Gospod.
9 For You, YHWH, [are] Most High over all the earth, You have been exalted greatly over all gods.
Kajti ti, Gospod, si dvignjen nad vso zemljo. Zelo si vzvišen nad vsemi bogovi.
10 You who love YHWH, hate evil, He is keeping the souls of His saints, He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Vi, ki ljubite Gospoda, sovražite zlo. On varuje duše svojih svetih; osvobaja jih iz roke zlobnega.
11 Light [is] sown for the righteous, And joy for the upright of heart.
Svetloba je posejana za pravičnega in veselje za iskrenega v srcu.
12 Rejoice, you righteous, in YHWH, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness!
Veselite se v Gospodu, vi pravični in zahvaljujte se pri spominjanju njegove svetosti.
