Psalms 97

1 YHWH has reigned, The earth is joyful, many islands rejoice.

Yahweh reina! Que a terra se regozije! Que a multidão de ilhas fique contente!

2 Cloud and darkness [are] around Him, Righteousness and judgment the basis of His throne.

Nuvens e escuridão estão ao seu redor. A justiça e a retidão são o fundamento de seu trono.

3 Fire goes before Him, And burns around His adversaries.

Um incêndio vai antes dele, e queima seus adversários de todos os lados.

4 His lightnings have lightened the world, The earth has seen, and is pained.

Seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo. A terra vê, e treme.

5 Hills, like wax, melted before YHWH, Before the Lord of all the earth.

As montanhas derretem como cera na presença de Yahweh, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.

6 The heavens declared His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.

Os céus declaram sua retidão. Todos os povos viram sua glória.

7 All servants of a carved image are ashamed, Those boasting themselves in idols, Bow yourselves to Him, all you gods.

Let todos eles têm vergonha de servir imagens gravadas, que se vangloriam em seus ídolos. Adorem-no, todos vocês deuses!

8 Zion has heard and rejoices, And daughters of Judah are joyful, Because of Your judgments, O YHWH.

Zion ouviu e ficou feliz. As filhas de Judá se alegraram por causa de seus julgamentos, Yahweh.

9 For You, YHWH, [are] Most High over all the earth, You have been exalted greatly over all gods.

Para você, Yahweh, o mais alto acima de tudo é a terra. Você é exaltado muito acima de todos os deuses.

10 You who love YHWH, hate evil, He is keeping the souls of His saints, He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Você que ama Yahweh, odeia o mal! Ele preserva as almas de seus santos. Ele os livra da mão dos ímpios.

11 Light [is] sown for the righteous, And joy for the upright of heart.

A luz é semeada para os justos, e alegria para os íntegros de coração.

12 Rejoice, you righteous, in YHWH, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness!

Alegrem-se em Yahweh, pessoas justas! Dê graças ao seu santo nome.
